    I live in Phoenix, AZ and my shotcrete guy recommended watering every hour since it is above 100 degrees. I went to home depot and bought an orbit dual hose water timer. I have two separate sprinklers that turn on every hour and fully saturate the concrete. So 15 minutes of water, and 45 minutes off. I shut the water off at night once the sun is gone and it cools down.
    Made the watering process very easy!

    Which layer of the shell is the impermeable layer?
    I'm in the pre-plaster gunite curing stage. Ground water is coming through the gunite wall where the jet pipe juts out of the gunite. This is not a pipe leak; it's ground water leaking from the outside of the gunite to the inside of the pre-plastered pool.
    The contractor is saying this is normal. If it is, why is it in only 1 spot and what makes the pool shell waterproof? The plaster?

      Hello, the gunite/shotcrete is the water stop for the pool shell. NOT THE PLASTER. Please refer to the contractor for assistance on this since all markets are different, but in our experiences, I would get that pipe addressed now vs. later. Hope this helps!

    I just poured concrete on a pool but the contractor never told me to water it. We are in Miami so maybe there is no need?

      Hi there, from our experience all pools that use Shotcrete or Gunite need to be cured for a certain period of time once applied. Hope this helps!

    What about the outside of the pool if it rains should I pump the water out

    • @ePoolSupply
      @ePoolSupply  3 роки тому

      Hi there, if the water accumulates inside of the pool from rain then yes you should pump it out. If you are talking about the outside of the pool then no you do not have to worry about it. Hope this helps!
