I think those Mic's have similar quality, depending upon how far you are from them, direction, etc, but I think you might be able to completely solve your problem if you use a lavalier mic. Maybe that's not as simple as you would like, although you can plug it directly into the camera, and if you have a long enough cable, you can definitely hide it. Purple Panda might be a good way to go, it comes with a really long extension cable, but otherwise, it seems like you have things completely under control with what you have. Thanks for sharing, as always. Great content.
I actually have a lav mic, albeit a less expensive one... I just don't like the way my voice sounds with them. Not sure if it's the fact that it's on my chest or what, but I sound like Fran Drescher 🤣 I've spent this week tweaking my settings... I think the next vid will have some pretty crispy sound 👍
@@andreas1701d The best solution is the one that you feel the most comfortable with, for sure. Lav mics are used in professional film and professional theater scenarios all the time, just like shotgun mics, they can all work. Especially if you’re recording to a separate device, which is really the best case scenario in all cases. Having said that, we all just have to find our own happy place. What works best for the individual artist. And you definitely don’t sound like Fran Drescher, no disrespect to her. LOL Your audio always sounds good. For me personally, as long as you don’t have that horrible ambient room, boomy sound, it’s all cool. That’s the kind of issue that takes me out of a film. Or a video. If somebody is sitting across the room, and they don’t realize how bad it sounds when you sound like you’re in a gymnasium, or a hallway or something. (Unless that’s the sound appropriate to a scene, of course) That’s bad. You’ll find your happy place, but in any case, your videos always sound professional.
Hey thanks for watching! I'm spending this week tweaking my sound presets... I like that this mic can be pushed in any direction in post. Greta value over the pro imho if your camera has decent pre-amps. Clarity > boom 😁
Andrez I really liked your videos … I just subbed… regards from Mississauga
Hey thanks for watching and for the kind words!
Hope Mississauga is treating you well.
