So if you just make Jevil more depressed, that's what Junkil would be like.
I imagine the "cut the strings" moment here would be a more comedic *Jevil realizes he can't move without the sticks and falls to the ground like when a cartoon character realizes they're walking on air*
No,no,no. The strings hold Spamton up from the sky, and when they get cut, he falls down. Junkil is being held up by the ground. By process of elimination, this can ONLY mean, that he falls *Up*
I love how instead of being puppeted, he’s being pulled down, as if someone’s dragging him down, and at 1:04 he’s struggling to keep pulling his chains, signifying that he’s considering giving up, but then he springs back to action.
It's almost like a puppet is being pulled off (or below) stage like the puppeteer is saying "shows over" So considering Junkil was jittering, it's like he's fighting to stay up, kinda like he's fighting to stay on the air

I used to think Giga puddin' was Undyne inspired but thinking about it he's much closer to an amplified version of himself rather than imitating Undertale characters

I'm interested to see *how* he's able to get Undyne's armor (Same applies to TOP Kris). Metaton's makes sense since he drew it up in a program on the computers, but why would Undyne's be in the Dark World? Genuinely interested to see how both of those answer that, if at all.

I feel like all of Junkil's songs have a sort of more... bittersweet and somber feel to them than Spamton's do. BIG SHOT is happy and triumphant almost all throughout, this still sounds like there's negativity and sadness in Junkil despite their success.

I love the energy the vocals give in this, it feels so peppy yet so so intimidating. Also the touch of the stick puppet restraints compared to the strings of spamton is a nice touch
I think that junkil believes that the sticks are pushing him up but they’re actually pulling him down and he’s so caught in his delusion he can’t realize it, kind of like jevil thinking everyone else is in prison but he is so diluted in his insanity he can’t realize it
I thought that this song is going to be named "do anything" because of the "I can you can do anything" but this name is even better because now it is "I can you can (we can) battle against the world". Also it can be taken as Azzy needing to fight against society because Kris is a puppet to the player and so is Spamton to capitalisam Kris=Spamton, that means that the same can be true for Azzy=Junkil maybe its something like nobody believing Azzy or Azzy being made to look like a joke to the world. My first thought was Battle against the world breaks the “Nows your chance to be a big shot/I can you can do anything” pattern… then I remembered that BIG SHOT is Called “Power of Big” in the Japanese localisation (as in “power of Neo”) so it’s still continuing a pattern, just with the name change to accommodate the world revolving and the additional Mettaton Undyne swap (plus “against the world” ties into Junkil being a conspiracy theorist in this AU) Its all very clever Also the song is very solid. That said, upon looking a bit more, in the replies of REDUX's ref sheet, Winterer confirms Junkil is nonbinary and used he/she/they, so, nothing gender related actually changing between forms, just AUs, lol.
In one single video you somehow made this whole AU even more incredible than it already was. I started to make a deltarune swap AU myself a few weeks ago and I can't even start to imagine myself making something at least half as good compared to what I just witnessed. Truly, BRAVO!!!

This is so fucking goooooood. I also love how tragic the don't forget leitmotif sounds here. It sounds as if it's a cry for help, for sanity- from Junkil.
Goshh I love the little details that show how much thought you put into this. Like how Junkil is a shadow puppet to contrast with Spamton being a marionette, and also to represent Jevil's darker nature. Also the Spear of Justice motif being used to contrast with the Battle Against a True Hero motif in Big Shot. It's just stuff like that which really shows you didn't just swap the character's clothes or anything like that.

I've been looking forward to this one for a while, and it does NOT disappoint. The don't forget section is chill-inducing, even though I can't make out the words.
I adore this concept because its not just "Jevil swapping life paths with Spamton", its "Jevil after nearly every motif about him is shuffled one space to the left or right based on story placement, but the references are retained and altered in how proportionately they affect the character"
I like how the strings are pulling him down instead of up, and since spamtons strings are green, and the opposite of green is red, and the fact that sticks are like solid, non-flexible (mostly) strings, junkil has red sticks.
This is simply amazing. Music, voice, drawing and pixel art. And although as of writing there is no game, only design, its is extremely "real". Just well done.
I just noticed this but in the game Spamton has his hair tied in a ponytail and in his Boss form he has in hair down while Junkle starts off with his hair down and then ties it up in his Boss form. Just another cool detail I noticed which just shows how well thought out this AU is. Can't wait to see more! :]

Man the music is always good but one thing I love about all thr Undertale/Deltarune AU remixes is they come with cute little animations almost everytime
So I’m guessing Junkil was a talk show host, but when he started listening to the radio from a strange man he started going on crazy conspiracies? One day he was betrayed by the show runner, and the only thing he could turn to was the radio as it continued to spout things about this world.

i ADORE how they managed to make his eyes look like both a single eye (particularly in the first few seconds) and mouse pointers. that's honestly awesome
one thing i love about the deltarune chapter rewritten music is that it's a good mix of both the character's themes, and also amazing as it's own standalone thing aswell
I love the motifs starting with "Spear of Justice" right at the beginning having parts of "A Battle Against A True Hero", with "Beginning", or "Friendship" and also "[BIG SHOT]" but also having one really important to Jevils lore, "Lantern" (Shawms shop theme) Even having Jevils motif in there (0:40) His visual representation especially in the first few seconds is very reminiscent of Undyne the Undying. Also the area is very similar to Jevil's encounter, finally his hand is actually a devilsknife .
This song has grown on me a lot more, when it first came out I was kinda underwhelmed, especially since its kinda short and ends abruptly. Now I appreciate the song more for what it is than what I thought it would or should be, though I still take issue to some parts, like how there is a slight but noticeable dead air in some parts that are after the small animatic.

I love the idea of Junkil having cursors for eyes instead of diamonds, and him being a stick puppet instead of a string one like spamton, plus the phone being replaced with a radio. It’s just all nifty.
I’d imagine the fight would be similar to the Jevil fight in deltarune, having to tire him out, but instead of that being the end, you have to cut one of his strings and then the more chaotic fight against Junkil the Undying starts until you tire him out again to end the fight

Nice to see Junkil the Unkillable finally making a debut. Though I kind of wish the tone of the song was as hectic as the original BIG SHOT rather than heroic like BAATH as Junkil doesn't seem to be much of a tragic hero in of himself.
I get the gender thing bc it's the Undying body, but REDUX? Really? Spamton gets NEO because he downloads himself into and possesses Mettaton's conceptual NEO body. Junkil, on the other hand, VPNs into and melds with Undyne's immortal self-insert. Why does he/she/it/they get a capitalized NEO-esque name rather than a description of the Undying body they now command. Not only that, but Undyne's name partially rhymes with her adjective, leading to the obvious parallel of jUNKIL the UNKILlable, a much more fitting name than a bootleg NEO.

I think that junkil believes that the sticks are pushing him up but they’re actually pulling him down and he’s so caught in his delusion he can’t realize it, kind of like jevil thinking everyone else is in prison but he is so diluted in his insanity he can’t realize it

I thought that this song is going to be named "do anything" because of the "I can you can do anything" but this name is even better because now it is "I can you can (we can) battle against the world". Also it can be taken as Azzy needing to fight against society because Kris is a puppet to the player and so is Spamton to capitalisam Kris=Spamton, that means that the same can be true for Azzy=Junkil maybe its something like nobody believing Azzy or Azzy being made to look like a joke to the world. My first thought was Battle against the world breaks the “Nows your chance to be a big shot/I can you can do anything” pattern… then I remembered that BIG SHOT is Called “Power of Big” in the Japanese localisation (as in “power of Neo”) so it’s still continuing a pattern, just with the name change to accommodate the world revolving and the additional Mettaton Undyne swap (plus “against the world” ties into Junkil being a conspiracy theorist in this AU) Its all very clever
Also the song is very solid. I like how Don’t forget swaps with the freedom motif in this AU

That said, upon looking a bit more, in the replies of REDUX's ref sheet, Winterer confirms Junkil is nonbinary and used he/she/they, so, nothing gender related actually changing between forms, just AUs, lol.

I like the idea that Junkil doesn't lose his sanity like Spamton does but instead his morality
I feel like unlike a lot of fan-made Jevil x Spamton songs and stories, these songs feel so rich with plot and character, and you dont even need a video explaining it to figure it out. This whole chapter-rewritten saga really does feel like Toby Fox's work, it's incredible. Truly awesome job (and great art too)

Goshh I love the little details that show how much thought you put into this. Like how Junkil is a shadow puppet to contrast with Spamton being a marionette, and also to represent Jevil's darker nature. Also the Spear of Justice motif being used to contrast with the Battle Against a True Hero motif in Big Shot.
It's just stuff like that which really shows you didn't just swap the character's clothes or anything like that.

I've been looking forward to this one for a while, and it does NOT disappoint. The don't forget section is chill-inducing, even though I can't make out the words.
Also; breaking formula from BIG SHOT and using "Lantern" instead of the pseudo-alphys melody from BAaTH is incredible.

I adore this concept because its not just "Jevil swapping life paths with Spamton", its "Jevil after nearly every motif about him is shuffled one space to the left or right based on story placement, but the references are retained and altered in how proportionately they affect the character"

I like how the strings are pulling him down instead of up, and since spamtons strings are green, and the opposite of green is red, and the fact that sticks are like solid, non-flexible (mostly) strings, junkil has red sticks.

I just noticed this but in the game Spamton has his hair tied in a ponytail and in his Boss form he has in hair down while Junkle starts off with his hair down and then ties it up in his Boss form. Just another cool detail I noticed which just shows how well thought out this AU is.

I love the motifs starting with "Spear of Justice" right at the beginning having parts of "A Battle Against A True Hero", with "Beginning", or "Friendship" and also "[BIG SHOT]" but also having one really important to Jevils lore, "Lantern" (Shawms shop theme) Even having Jevils motif in there (0:40) His visual representation especially in the first few seconds is very reminiscent of Undyne the Undying. Also the area is very similar to Jevil's encounter, finally his hand is actually a devilsknife .

This song has grown on me a lot more, when it first came out I was kinda underwhelmed, especially since its kinda short and ends abruptly. Now I appreciate the song more for what it is than what I thought it would or should be, though I still take issue to some parts, like how there is a slight but noticeable dead air in some parts that are after the small animatic.

I love the idea of Junkil having cursors for eyes instead of diamonds, and him being a stick puppet instead of a string one like spamton, plus the phone being replaced with a radio. It’s just all nifty.
I’d imagine the fight would be similar to the Jevil fight in deltarune, having to tire him out, but instead of that being the end, you have to cut one of his strings and then the more chaotic fight against Junkil the Undying starts until you tire him out again to end the fight

I get the gender thing bc it's the Undying body, but REDUX? Really? Spamton gets NEO because he downloads himself into and possesses Mettaton's conceptual NEO body. Junkil, on the other hand, VPNs into and melds with Undyne's immortal self-insert. Why does he/she/it/they get a capitalized NEO-esque name rather than a description of the Undying body they now command.
Not only that, but Undyne's name partially rhymes with her adjective, leading to the obvious parallel of jUNKIL the UNKILlable, a much more fitting name than a bootleg NEO.
