Glad you enjoyed it! Not going the nuln will definitely speed things up. It's a fun exercise in wash layers at least since the nuln won't strip back when you take off the enamels.
wow, I really like your paint scheme, and I enjoyed the relaxing music too (what song is that?) Any idea how to differentiate and stand out the champion from the rest of the unit without ruining the scheme? Maybe painting the hand glowing too or using a different color for the glow effect? thanks
There are a few songs from the Epidemic Sound catalogue, usually under their 'alternative hip hop' tag, though I tend not to list them because I like it to just be background noise. ^^ As far as making things stand out, you've got the right idea! I would like to do a similar paint job but i'd like the color of the armor to be metallic black. Think i could replace the brass with black metal from vallejo model air line? I can either airbrush it right on or use a brush and paint it on.
Hmm...that color seems to be a closer approximation to the Burnt Iron I was using on the axe. There are a few ways to get black/dark metal looks and my favorite it a black transparent or contrast over that kind of dark silver. The Pale Burnt Metal highlight is very versatile, though and can be used to highlight either way. My Black Templars video has a black over silver metallic black you could check out to see if you like that version. ua-cam.com/video/r_kv6cVEohg/v-deo.html
@@ArtoriusCarter thx for sharing this king of videos, i'm looking to paint as you, bcs i love that ....but... This skeleton looks really green in your videos and i bought ones but it's looks like really white or like a skull. Did u mix with a green ?
I did not mix with a green, but since the skeleton horde paint includes a little yellow, sometimes if your zenithal prime is particularly sharp, the white-black shading beneath can make the illusion of a little green at the darker spots. If your white section is very prominent it will appear brighter and you will get less of the green look.
Heh, thanks! Maybe there's a little too much chill vibes, sometimes 😊 Or maybe I can give the 'Rain Sounds to Fall Asleep To' crowd some competition from the mini painting space. 😂
A fine job Mr. Carter!! Keep those minis coming!
Thank you, and will do!
I like it, but im not sure id do the nuln oil when you're going to enamels anyways, but too each their own. Very nice job

Just all I need for my vintage 1997 Necron.
Merci pour la vidéo.

What brushes are you using? I love the point and way the paint flows from those
Monument Hobbies Pro Synthetics. I use the #2 a lot.
Really nice. But you missed the runes on the backside of the axe.
I did indeed! Fortunately they're a simple touch up since they're after the enamel wash. Glad you enjoyed the video in any case!

@@ArtoriusCarter Thanks ill check it out.
The skeleton horse looks darker compare to the one selled on gw website. That’s the same ?
The paint photos on GW's site are extremely off when it comes to the Contrast line. It is the same.

Thanks!
I like how you're painting these but that music in the background man's making me sleepy
