I love all your videos, but this kind are my favorites. But I am sure camping people love all your reviews, I enjoy them also, But I just enjoy watching anything you make for us.
Hey there! As an ebike user, I stumbled upon this amazing UA-cam video titled "outdoor" and I must admit, I was blown away by the outstanding features of the freebeat Morph 2-in-1 e-Bike showcased in the video. The fact that it can be charged indoors is revolutionary and gives me the freedom to explore the outdoors without worrying about running out of battery. The 750W motor and 80Nm torque seem impressive, promising a thrilling and powerful ride. Not to mention the puncture-resistant fat tires and IPX5 waterproof finish, ensuring a smooth journey in any weather. Count me in for the crowdfunding project!
I love impromptu stops in the woods next to a stream that flows quietly. It is so peaceful and relaxing. I like that quick set up stool. I saw the movie I Am Legend and enjoyed most of it. The scene in which Will's character had to dispatch his infected dog broke my heart. Enjoyable video, Luke.
Thanks for sharing this with me 😂🎉❤. Love that you go out in such extreme weather ☁️😮😮. I'm disabled and can't get out into the woods. So I really enjoy watching you guys doing 😁👍👍👍👍👍 what I can't, . Thanks so much 👍👍👍👍👍
I always appreciate your videos from Whitetop Mtn. I can name that Mtn with mere seconds of video...lol.. One of my favorite places. I live about 10 miles away, as the crow flies. Thanks for your videos!
Luke, it’s almost always a pleasure to be safe and warm, protected from the fury of cold rain and wind, sitting in a shelter, looking to the outside where the storm lashes out and beats down. I have stood out in the rain and snow storm, the only shelter being my clothing or the oil and wax on my skin. For three years my main shelter was what I was wearing. Rarely, I could duck into the command tent. My men could hide from the storms inside the 13 ton, cold, hard metal of their vehicles. I don’t like being cold, wet, tired and hungry. When I watch you I know that you’re out there because some of your viewers have expressed some positive reinforcement, “Oh, it’s so great when you’re camping in a storm.” Luke, I like you. I don’t like seeing you miserably experiencing setting up a tarp in the cold and wet, having a coffee just for us. Please be careful. Go home. Get out of the rain. Hold Susie, pet your dogs and enjoy the fireplace. From a buddy in Kentucky.
This video was so relaxing that I almost fell asleep. It’s just beautiful to be out in the trees and the forest and the grass. I think I might take my two dogs and my screen tent and just go out for the day and instead of just camping will just come home but we can spend the day out. That’s a good idea.❤❤❤
Love the closing scenes of driving through the flooded roads. Reminds me of when I was a child stomping barefoot through mud puddles after a heat of the day pop up summer thunderstorm. Love your adventures and your life stories. Can’t wait for the next adventure.
By the way, I started out watching camping/backpacking videos when no one was talking. Loved them. Then I ran across one where this young guy was talking, but he was so personable until I kept on watching and watching. That person was you.
I am legend is a awesome book that has never been justifiably put onto the big screen. The writing and story line are brilliant. Would highly recommend all the read this
My favorite uploads from you isn't the "lets test this"; I am into your uploads where you go into nature, enjoy nature, film nature, and best of all: thunderstorms, rain, and being in the thick of it. As always, cheers!
Here south of Atlanta we've been in the 90s for a while. I have one more move in me and it's going to be in a mountainous area to retire to. Thanks for the videos!
Thank you Luke for reminding me that I still can get out in the woods. I may not be able to hike and camp and carry a pack like I did when I was young and healthy but the woods and mountains remain accessible.
I'm a writer and a retired English teacher. Nothing would rock my world more than if you incorporated book reading into some of your videos! Also, it was "The Omega Man" by Ray Thanner. I'd love to hear your and everyone's ideas on pretty much any story.
Hello Luke,, you all have really gotten the flooding.. We have had some rain, but for Oklahoma we sure do need it..Temps over 100 degrees heat index..So staying inside as much as possible.. Great spot for the tarp and it is a nice tarp.. that is alot of rain you all are getting..in that weather it is hard to stay on the road sometimes.. so glad yours and Susie's friend got out and is fine. always a great video.. thank you for sharing.
Thank you Luke... I do go for day hikes in the woods of central and northern PA and have lunch mid-way through and always enjoy it. Stupid me or still learning me...never thought to take a tarp!! Game changer when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. This old gal can still learn new camping/hiking tricks, thanks for showing the way. 🏕⛰🥾
That's why I love going out into nature, everything just gets disconnected and it's just you out there. We are too connected now a days to electronics and it's missing the purpose it had to connect each other like it use to off the start I feel.
So often I've "watched the movie after reading the book" and I've been underwhelmed by the movie.. A really neat outing there Luke, those flooded gravel roads bring back memories. 👍
Long time viewer here 👍🏻. We are of the same opinion regarding The Omega Man friend. I Am Legend the book, The Last Man On Earth and I am Legend the film. The Chuck Heston version is the best of the bunch, followed by Vincent Price and then the Smith iteration. The book though is one of my all time favourites, very atmospheric, the paranoia, claustrophobia and fear leaps off the page. I can only recommend it too 👍🏻
What a beautiful backpack. I live in the south of Brazil, our winter is very rainy. Watching your videos inspires me to go into the bush, even in the rain. I'm going to add the book to my reading list. Congratulations for your work. Big hug.
I'm retired LEO, and an Accident Reconstructionist, and I was taught how to strategically drive a car. Hands at 4 and 8 and shuffle steer. The other reasons for this steering wheel position is in a collision scenario, when the airbag deploys, the airbag won't destroy your forearms, which I've seen MANY times, and it will reduce fatigue when holding your arms high on the steering wheel. Maybe, mount your camera so you can drive with both hands. Try this, and let me know...
Whenever the weather was cloudy, windy, stormy, raining, cold, overcast, etc., and people complained, my grandfather would always say, “It’s just another kind of a beautiful day.” Because of my grandfather’s “beautiful” saying I have always loved stormy weather. I love your channel as it reminds me of my grandfather and I love that you love the stormy weather. Your vlogs are how I get to see and hear my favorite kind of weather! Take care!
Another great video as always Luke. I think I just missed you at WTM I was camping there Sat and left Sunday afternoon when it started to rain. Ironically enough I was there in my Tundra as well.
Hi Luke, the Omega man with Charleston Heston came out in 1971...I never realized it was based on The I Am Legend book. I really enjoy watching your videos. I was never allowed to watch Omega Man cause I was 13 in 1971.
Interesting & instructional - my kind of adventure. Glad you show that it is possible to do well if necessary or desired during inclement weather when safe to be outside. Glad for your fine flexibility as far as changing your plans. Worked out wonderfully and glad Susie's friend got her car out and is fine. I saw "The Omega Man" first run back in the day - may have been 1971-ish?
The good ole sound of a toyota tundra! Everything toyota makes is top notch for the money! On a second note I hope luke makes his own bushcraft channel but not like alot of the other ones, something unique! With his personality and just being the way he is...doing a bushcraft camp with only a certain amount of items for certain situations, or none at all. Ok maybe a ferro rod at the most! But to see this dude toughin it hard would really inspire me! Thanks for your content!
@TheOutdoorGearReview, sounds like you had as much fun as me. Tuesday Night I was in a Thunderstorm in Maine, in my (now, obviously) tested truck tent. Rough night, I tell ya!
Luke, you make everything look so easy, and you always seem to find amazing campsites. I don't know how you do it. Maybe it's just the luck of good terrain for camping in your area. I long to go camping like this.
The Omega Man (1971) is the second adaptation of Matheson's novel. The first was The Last Man on Earth (1964), which starred Vincent Price. A third adaptation, I Am Legend, starring Will Smith, was released in 2007.
In one of his videos, he mentioned that he was thinking about selling it because Susie doesn't like driving it because of the right hand steer feature and he said they don't need 2 trucks, but I don't know if he ever followed through with actually selling it or not.
OutdoorswithV sent me here. Really enjoyed the video! I can tell you put a lot of effort into your camera views and editing - all tedious stuff. Anyways… You’ve got a sub for life, brother.
Thanks for the video. I think the three movies all have a bit of the book. Last Man on Earth ending is like the book. I've been interested in all versions of the book.
I had a funny learning experience while backpacking this past week. I always carry two small Bic lighters with me in case one gives out. I was sitting on a log, using a stump for my table, I set up my msr stove, set my cup on top and filled it with water, cut on the stove and waited for it to start boiling. All of a sudden it exploded!! I thought my propane canister had exploded but no! I had only removed one lighter from inside my cup and didn't see the other one. It exploded when the water started boiling. Very scary! Fortunately it didn't damage my cup or me, however it did damage my msr stove. Live, learn, adventure anyway.😊
Originally, he said in a video he was planning on selling it. Because Susie didn't like driving it. And they didn't need 2 trucks, but I don't know if he actually followed through with that or not.

I'm happy whenever there is rain, more rain means less people and that is always more welcome than the alternatives
Absolutely
We must be twins I also love winter especially when it's cold basically people keep to themselves
Nothing but facts
"I like the rain. Keeps everybody inside and washes everything clean." -- Rusty Nail
Floods are the best huh
The sound of rain drops falling on a tarp reminds me of camping as a kid.

Adventures don't always have to be test-driven. I enjoy seeing you on relaxing journeys where you demonstrate techniques.
Me too.
Being far from home, I really appreciate these videos from my home state. Thanks Luke!
Luke, always enjoy your adventures, love stormy weather as long as everyone is safe.

One of my favorite things to do,is sit out on the porch under the roof, and watch the rain come down.. so peaceful

God's beauty is all around. I love the view and listening to the birds and rain.
Great video. God Bless ❤️
I have my tarp and backpack. Just need to get the other essentials so I can do lunch trips like this. Thanks for the motivation Luke.
By the way, I started out watching camping/backpacking videos when no one was talking. Loved them. Then I ran across one where this young guy was talking, but he was so personable until I kept on watching and watching. That person was you.

I love that kind of foggy weather...makes you feel like you're on the edge of the world 😀
Without revealing where you are, I have to say that area is probably my favorite place to hike and camp.
It's oddly relaxing just watching and listening as you drive in your truck up the mountain

Camping has changed a lot since I was camping out I was a scout

I am legend is an amazing story. It was my first audible book I listened to and been addicted since.
So often I've "watched the movie after reading the book" and I've been underwhelmed by the movie.. A really neat outing there Luke, those flooded gravel roads bring back memories. 👍
I love the climate there.

I don’t think I missed an episode. But what happened to the right side steer truck? And which brand is your favorite MRE?
In one of his videos, he mentioned that he was thinking about selling it because Susie doesn't like driving it because of the right hand steer feature and he said they don't need 2 trucks, but I don't know if he ever followed through with actually selling it or not.
