Nasty knife trick from French Fencing master Émil André

I learned this technique from Maestro Claudio Parodi for the coltello genovese. But it came out that Emil Andre who wrote "100 ways to defend yourself in the streets with weapons" or in French "100 Façons de se défendre dans la rue avec armes" was aware of this little trick for a knife fight and he wrote that this is actual a Spanish trick, they probably used with the navaja.
