Great video thanks, I've got an mt10 and it says not to turn the screw that's painted white but none are painted white , how can I tell what is the main throttle body/ bypass screw . Is it always the one with the throttle cables on
Yeah the master throttle body is the one that has the throttle linkage attached to it. But sometimes the manual will say not to turn the screws with the white mark on them but that's how most of your carbs & throttle bodies are synced. Aslo sometimes the screws with have yellow on them instead. Then again some have none at all. Just follow along with what the service manual recommends & I think you will be all good
8. Adjust: throttle body synchronization a. With throttle body #3 as standard, adjust throttle bodies #1, #2, and #4 using the air screws 1 . NOTE: After each step, rev the engine two or three times, each time for less than a second, and check the synchronization again. If the air screw is removed, turn the screw 3/4 turn in and be sure to synchronize the throttle body. CAUTION: Do not use the throttle valve adjusting screws to adjust the throttle body synchro- nization. That is straight from the manual. I adjusted them the same as you did but that type of sync works on other bikes but not the 2nd gen R6. There should be white paint on the throttle plate screws you were adjusting and I’d recommend setting them back and adjusting the air screws off of what the vacuum of throttle body 3 reads as that is the standard for all 4. Leaving the throttle plates out of adjustment will through the afr way out and mess with the idle. I do hope to see more videos on the 05 as there aren’t many doing it. Read up on the manual there is everything you could need to know in there www.tac06.fr/tac06/R6ServiceManual.pdf
@@audioadictos5351 you can do it with a DIY fluid vacuum gauge but it’s much less accurate and you run the risk of sucking up the fluid. That should only be done if you can’t get real gauges
hello friend, a question? The screws that are on one side of each injector also serve to adjust the vacuum of each throttle body? thanks for your support
I believe I got this on from Amazon. It works really. I had an expensive one before that was pretty much the same. This is what you can type in on Amazon & it will come up carburetor synchronizer tool
Yeah it's no cheap over there. One of my customers just flew to the Philippines. His wife is from there. I did order that set of sync gauges from Amazon
Hey SUMIT. Almost anytime you do a throttle body / carburetor sync it will change the idle. You have to adjust the idle according to your manufacturers spec. Most manufacturers use the air screws to do a idle drop test.
i have an 03 r6 and i have have delay in my power when its a cold start . i start it gear up and it have the delay until about 165 degrees. i can wide open it and it barely putts until temp and then its back to normal. Any ideas on what i can do to fix it?
Hey Running Off Caffeine. I would check to make sure that the choke system is all nice & clean. If I remember right the choke is automatic & uses the cooling system to regulate the choke. So as it warms up it slowly closes the choke off. So make sure your coolant is topped off & change it if it hasn't been changed in the last 2 yrs. Also check valve clearances & do a throttle body sync. Check you spark plugs & air filter. Thats how I would start out. Those bike did take a little bit to warm up & run the best but it shouldn't take that long.
I am just about ready to do my 2005 R6 and read a caution in the shop manual. CAUTION: "Do not use the throttle valve adjusting screws to adjust the throttle body synchronization" They want you to use the air screws to sync. Looks like you employed the throttle valves.
Hey Johnny Appleseed.Applebee's. Yes I use the throttle butterfly sync screws when I did them. Using the air screw will work to an extent but you can really mess up you idle when doing so. I use the air screws when performing an idle drop procedure but not during the sync.
Ok this doesn't have carburetors. This is a vacuum slide style throttle body. Fuel pump in gas tank & 4 fuel injectors. Here look it up. THROTTLE BODYASSY | 49 5SL-13750-30-00 you're not the first person to say this.

Brother, if you set the air screw of the throttle, then the rpm will also change??
Thanks for the TM!! life saver!
hi, friend! Could this adjustment be done without having the vacuum gauge tool?
To sync throttle bodies are carburetors you need to have a set of sync gauges. Other wise you have no idea how much vacuum each cylinder is pulling.

where did you purchase the carb sync kit you are using ? can you post a link or the name of the kit ? Thanks

Yeah it's definitely worth having. Every time you change sparkplugs are the airfilter I always check then since I'm already there.

Is this the same with R6s?
When you say same R6 if you're referring to the other 2 R6 videos YES it is.
Nice!
I could be wrong here, but they don't look much like throttle bodies??... They look like a set of vacuum carbs to me..??
I know exactly what you are saying. Early versions of throttle bodies as yamaha calls them.THROTTLE BODY ASSY | CA (4P62)
