    I road across europe with my down pipes held together with exhaust wrap and upon my return I replaced them with Black Widdows. Can't fault them in any way. Absolutely fantastic.

    Brilliant review and comparison to stock. You left nothing unanswered. And wow, the new exhaust note is awesome. I heard some popping when you rev'd it. Have you since installed a fuel controller to enrich the mixture to handle the freer flow? Probably some power left to tap that way.

    Good overview. One correction. They make up to 300mm for the low mounts on the fz6r. They look like they're swept back much more so shouldn't be an issue scraping. Ur video helped me make my decision to go with black widow so thanks man

    You best get a power commander 5, I'm gonna get header pipes from black widow cos it's only 10 minutes down the road. I had an old divi so it was an r regarding as my first big bike till some that stopped in a box junction and I plowed into them. I ride a fz6 s2. It has a 2nd generation de tuned r6 engine. It's running at about 110 bhp and about 101 whp.ive tarted mine up too. she is my baby. Powercommander is the way forward. Have a look at the pcv. Keep the vids coming they are braap. Ride safe buddy

    Hey Spicy, how is the low mount can holding up after 2+ years? Is the can still intact? Im asking because I’m afraid rocks and other stuff that hits the exhaust from the road might damage it over time because it’s mounted so low.

    Hi, I have a couple of questions. Do you need to remap the fueling after changing the exhaust ? My second question is can I cut off the original Exhaust just after the lambda sonda, and put an aftermarket can on the existing pipes ? Is the remap for the second option also needed.

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  2 роки тому +1

      they sell headers and cans that they say need no map change and I would back that up with my model and year as its running great to this day. As for the second option you could but you will likely need to have a custom pipe bent to make a mid pipe, I can not comment on if that set up would need a remap as I just don't know for a pipe that maybe made.

      @@spicy110 Thank you for the Information. I have a couple more questions, just got my Yamaha XJ6N and want to learn more about it. Milage on mine is 40000 kilometers.
      Is this a high milage ?
      At what point do I need to change the timing change, or is it adjustable ?
      When I start the engine and its cold it makes a ticking noice for 2-3 minutes until it warms up, the ticking comes from the left side of the bike (if you are sitting on it), the cover with the Yamaha writing. After 2-3 minutes when the engine is warm it dissapears. Should I be worried about this or is it normal.
      Another question is what is the running temperature of this bike, I have noticed that when I am riding in 6th gear on the highway it tends to be 89-90Co but when I am in traffic it comes to 100Co and than cools down back to 89 and repeats the cycle in traffic. When I turn of the engine from the red button with the iginition key on it reaches 106Co and I wait until it cools down with the fan to 95C then the fan stops and I turn it off from the ignition.
      Sorry for the many questions I just want to know :) and see that you are the XJ6 expert on youtube.

      Black widow say it is fine with the stock O2 sensor, it is still on the bike all these years later with no issues.

    I personally would of done high mount just because a center stand is so useful, especially if you plan to go touring on Divvy *hint hint*

    I hate how the mic can never fully pick up the sound :( I know it'll be louder in person but it sounds quite in video, which is a shame!

    Do you need to add sealant to where the downpipes connect to the collector?

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  7 років тому

      +jaymaness we didn't use it on the collectors and it's not blowing at all, we did use it on the end can as stated in the video.

    Did you have to get a re tune or install a power commander after the installation Spicy?

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  4 роки тому +2

      Sure I mentioned it in the video but if I didn't black widow say it will run fine with just the o2 sensor. I have not flashed it and it seems fine.

    If I buy just the slip on without full system will it work?

      If you have the stock exhaust no, as the stock exhaust is one solid part front to back.
