    I'm looking to do my full license test in the new year and this is currently at the top of my list as my first big bike. It seems like one of the best used middleweight bikes out there, can pick them up for about 2.5k these days which seems like a great deal.

  •  4 роки тому +2

    Yeap... I learned how to ride on an XJ6 and it's still one of my favourite bikes, especially the 90's version of it. The classic lines are just amazing.

    Front fender extension is a good mod to reduce the amount of crap the front wheel can spray at the engine. I've a powerbronze one on my Xj6n and it's good as new after seven years.

    The xj6 was one of the maybe bikes on my list (when I can finally get my mod2 sorted) but being 6'4 also the size was a concern. The cb600 I've been training on was giving me all types of problems, mainly cramp 🙄, but seeing you find the xj comfortable gives me hope 👍

    Hey Spicy, I've been following you for probably close to a decade now, but only recently got my full unrestricted license. Been riding for a month or so now and absolutely having a blast. After passing, I immediately went out and got myself an XJ6N, and it's so damn beautiful, but... managed to let it slip as I was parking it up in my garage about a week back. You know the best place to get replacement parts for the XJ6 these days? Need a new clutch lever and left indicator cover :(

    Hey Spicy, so I got a Black Widow fitted to my xj6 divvy. Removed the ugly centre stand too. What a difference!
    Am I imagining it or is it actually faster?? Maybe the sound makes me feel it is. Have you tested it yourself?
    Just saw you have 7 bolts. My engineer charged me 300 quid to fit as it was a nightmare but I'm lucky to have all 8 it seems...

    • @spicy110
      @spicy110  Рік тому

      It is the sound, it wants to rev out and all that extra noise just makes it feel faster. I am sure of this as the same thing happened in my mind with my old 125cc bikes and they 100% did not get any faster. Knowing what a pig those bolts can be £300 is pretty fair!

    I thought the detuned R6 was the FZ6 (Fazer) not the XJ6. I have had both and felt that the divvy was a good all rounder/ideal first bike but under powered tbh. The FZ6 had a bit of serious grunt about it. That said its down to the preference/opinion of those that has it and i appreciate that. Why did you de sticker it, never really understood that one and why people do that, other than to possibly disguise what it actually is. It puzzles me

      @@philr80rt Philip Murphy I did pay for it with money so I did buy it, that's all I was saying. Yes that money came from donations and the history is all there on video. I'm not trying to hide that fact, the video "my subscribers bought me a bike" is pretty self explanatory. But your memory of that situation is quite different to reality, if anyone wants to check what I acctuly said and how that all happened the videos are there. The reason there was such a reaction to it was I had been making videos for 5 years off my own back and people were always saying set something up and I always said no. When I did they all helped of there own free will, I think the 5 years of videos could be considered working for it.

Also if you remember and I guess you don't for a long while after that I was making donations to air ambulance from merch sales. As they say you are entitled to your own opinions not your own facts. The videos are there and all people have to do is watch the videos and listen to what I said at the time.
