😂
Ahem, I don't know what you mean... 😂
Ahaha Ikr!
EnglishBikerDan is the akrapovic exhaust worth the price in comparison with This one?
EnglishBikerDan do u ever had problems with the exhaust hitting the floor when u going through corners??
Haha...huhu...she bang she bang....🤣🤣
Word of advise mate, start water marking your videos, because people steal exhaust videos alot and it helps to be able to copyright them
I've tried before mate, they'll steal it anyway.
Once its on UA-cam you wave all copyright to it.
@@4RMS7TRONG thats 100% incorrect mate. IF someone is stealing content to compile it, when the content itself is unique to said channel. Under YT Terms and conditions they can NOT reuse it without permission. WHy do you think you get copyright strikes when you upload a song, its the same thing. I get countless thieves stealing my content over the last 8 years and i've never lost a copyright complaint.
@@AridersLifeYT songs are different because they have royalties. Technically you can't upload a song to UA-cam that isn't royalty free. However, you can upload any old video and anyone can download and chop it up and make their own. Id watermark it with my channel name and simply accept the thieves taking it as extra advertisement 👌
@@4RMS7TRONG Sorry mate, Lets just agree to disagree. Maybe in the county you are in, but anyone whos ever stolen my content has had copyright strikes. 1 guy stole 2 of my videos and he got banned for stealing content and just reposting the video. Go download pewdiepie's videos and reupload them as they are and watch your channel get banned.
Editing or modifying someone's original work doesn't grant grounds for reuse.
Never has, never will.
You’ve just made my decision, I’m getting one of these bikes along with a black widow exhaust
So how's the bike?
I got the 2020 version and I LOVE it, except seat is super stiff.
Absolutely love this modern retro vibe the manufacturers are going for this year, bike looks amazing mate and sounds to match
I heard from a really good ecu flasher who did many many runs on dyno that eu4 engines need a richer mapping with full exhaust systems.
Cause they run stock lean to reach eu4 homologation and with the decat full exhaust its again more lean, so its possible that you do nothing good to your engine without mapping and full exhaust.
Sry for my English.
Cheers
Sounds great with the baffle in. Probably different for you. A louder can does change your riding behaviour, even just a little. Most might not admit it. I have my CB650 demo next Tuesday. I tell you what, who ever designed the look of this new model needs a pay rise. It's bloody lovely.
Definitely changes your riding. She's a beaut! Enjoy your test ride.
One thing on the CB and CBR650 I don't get is the hideous tail/license plate holder.
Sure, you can go aftermarket but considering the design on the current CBR500 it could have been an excellent OEM solution.
It's a legal thing apparently. The back wheel can't be the furthest point out on the rear.
Just bought a 2019 CB650R and it as the black widow fitted, sounds awesome😊
Oh my god... I have the CB125R in red and I thought I'd get the same color for the 650 but I am honestly falling in love with that blue. Great vid!
We have a huge bike shortage here in the South Central USA. I cant find a CB1000r, and a dealer friend found one of these for me brand new. I love the sound of this exhaust after watching about 2 hours worth of clips lol. Thanks for helping me with my decision my fren. I go to the dealer tomorrow afternoon!
I mean, i'm the 790 duke guy, but i have to admit: the CB650R looks gorgeous. Crazy retro looking and simple lines that make her shine. I really like the sound of the full exhaust kit. I enjoyed every bang :Q___.
CB650R looks kinda fun. Like a secret hooligan bike hehe. Nice vid sir.
love that blue...wasnt sure but yours is the first vids I've seen with that color. Looks even better than on the website!
Oh my LORD, that sound!
I'm a big kid at the best of times! 😂
Cant wait to get my CB650R and start doing bits to it, the Black widow is certainly on my want list. You're reviews of the CB have certainly helped to help me to make the decision on one! Keep them coming man 👌
5:10 “its rather chilly, so were not going crazy” *cuts to bike screaming*
😏
One of the best sounding systems IMO
It looks good. Stock isn't ugly either. I am doubting, but that sound is real nice!
That exhaust sounds amazing what an upgrade
It sounds amazing, did you have to flash the ECU or dyno tuned the bike after the exhaust install?? I am planning on upgrading my 2020 CB650R in California, Not the greatest state to modify a motorcycle
I wonder the same if i have to tune the bike, would add to the costs significantly - how did it go with you?
Super stuff sounds great.. all you need now is a bit of induction roar ..K&N filter maybe air box mod, a remap. Oh the list goes on and on..
Haha yes, that's the worry.
Rupe Wilson induction system and a tune, should be able to get close or a little over 100 bhp
Hey mate... I just want to say a huge thank you for all your videos. They are by far the best I’ve seen out of all of youtube. Keep it mate!
Thank you for the kind words. 👍
Dude could you do a review of the Kawasaki z400 pls 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 as it’s a really popular A2 complaint bike for new riders like myself! Pls as there seem to be sooo many mixed reviews.
@@adaminhongkong There's no Kawasaki dealership near me but I'll see what I can do.
This exhaust sounds so much better than the akropovic or sc project you fitted later
It was simply too loud, even with the baffle in.
I liked that colour. Congratulations.
I'm actually looking to buy this exact bike and exact exhaust. Now I'm super excited tbh
I really like the looks of the stock exhaust and the sound of it is good also.
Makes me want one even more now 😩
i learned driving on this model. i got my license on this bike.
so it will always have a place for me
Anybody with what they possibly think is the best exhaust out there for this bike
Great sound. Have you done a remap yet? thinking of getting one soon for the new CB1000r
Decided with this since the akrapovic is unfortunately out of my budget. Did you use a power commander? An installer i talked to said i would need my ecu flashed first before putting any full racing exhaust particularly on the CB650. Is that true or recommended? Or can i get away with just the power commander and still not harm the bike long term down the road? Appreciate the guidance. Thank you in advance. Your videos are awesome
It's like a roaring 🦁 damn that's exhaust is crazy!!!!
Watch my Akrapovic flyby video... 😁
Would be great if they could make a canister that is more blended like factory or the Akrapovic. Sounds rad
Did you need to loosen or remove the radiator to fit this or is there enough clearance to get to the bolts without? Thanks
Initially I did loosen the rad bolts to move it about an inch but actually using a universal joint meant I could do it without when fitting the Akra and SC Project exhausts.
My CB650R in red is due to arrive and i can't wait!!
One question i have on my mind, does installing a full system like yours void the manufacture's guaranty? Ta
No not at all. Enjoy your bike, it's awesome!
it does if you're not in EU or US. Most manufacturers hold Asian, African and Latin customers hostage to it.
@@cagednm69 I can't believe that's accurate. The UK is still in the EU (don't even get me started on that mess) and aftermarket exhausts definitely don't void your warranty unless something breaks and the exhaust was the cause. Some manufacturers even have deals with exhaust companies. Not only that but it would severely damage the aftermarket industry if that were the case.
@@Englishbikerdan None of the aftermarket exhausts are road legal so if you're outside EU/US your manufacturer will refuse to honor warranty because the bike does not meet road legal status they homologated it for and thus, when they refuse to honor warranty the customer cannot go to court because the bike is modified against the govt's regulations(almost all exhausts are track only now). So the customer has no option but to forfeit a court option.
Most owner manuals for bikes sold outside EU/US come with a clause that specifically mentions warranty would be void if the vehicle is modified when under the warranty period.
@@cagednm69 Ah you mean outside the EU/US? In that case I have no knowledge so I'll refrain from further comment. Here and in the EU at least it's not an issue and manufacturers would have to prove the issue relates to the aftermarket part being the issue if something did go wrong.
Is it possible to get an end can only that fits the 650 or do you have to change the whole system
Whole system, unless you want to cut the can off as its a closed system.
@EnglishBikerDan, sounds awesome! Is this exhaust MOT friendly?
I godda say it's not a nice looking pipe but it does sound pretty epic.
Yeah it's not the most fancy looking for sure. But godddd the noise 😍
Hi Dan, great info about the exhaust just bought my cb650r before the lock down definitely going a buy the black widow exhaust.
What a machine !
Hey Dan, bike sounds amazing!
Did you have to fit a power commander or need and ecu map?
I did not. As they didn't have one available back then. It probably would have helped with the flat spot.
I suggest to change your fps to 60fps (minimum), better result for high speed (more than 120kmh)
It is already at 60fps. I can confirm this as I get the option of playback for 720p60, 1080p60, 1440p60 and 2160p60. Perhaps your internet can't cope with 60fps.
By emoving the cat converter... doesn't it messes up somehow the ECU calibration??
Should be the same as my MT07 that retains the lambada sensor so no issues 👍
Exactly that, still has the lambda sensor so you don't have to remap. Although I'm planning on a dyno run once it's had its first service.
Wa,, that stock exhaust was really, reaaaaally sad, glad you changed it :D
Sounds cool
Wonder if they do one for the new blade 🤤👍🏻
where is that tunnel by the canal ?? the rest looks like Pirbright bends
I receive my Cb650r next week 👍🏻
Enjoy it, you'll love it.
Mine is coming tomorrow. Can't wait
Tomás Pires 👍🏻
Sounds good! Now loosen the clamp nearest the can, and rotate it so that ugly bolt isn't on display.
I don't worry about such things with a cheap ass can on the bike! 😂
Can someone explain how it sounds like any other inline 4 (except r1's crossplane) even though it has unequal length headers? I cant hear any uneven-ness in the sound
Wuiiiihhhiiii, that's great mate 👌😁
Man the CB660 sounds amazing just saying
Sounds freaking sick man
My mind made on what exhaust I’m getting then
Vicious sound mate👍👍
Did you have to do a remap after installing the new full system exhaust?
I didn't have a remap, but it probably would have been a good idea!
@@Englishbikerdan i bought yesterday a black widow exhaust for my '22 cb650r but now i wonder if there will be any power delivery issues 😰Have you ever experienced any after the new exhaust install?
So what do you think in terms of power delivery? Did it change something? And is this exhaust street legal in the eu without the cat?
Every exhaust without cat is illegal here in UE...
Power delivery still great. As far as I know (edited) it is illegal if tested at the roadside but the chances of that are slim. I have owned bikes that have passed MOT without a CAT and I've had one fail with a CAT. So it depends on the emissions.
Hi Dan!, do you know if this version is suited for the 21' models as well, in the black widow site they have only long necked pipes for the newer models that dont quite look as compact and as nice as this one, thanks in advance!
Hi, unfortunately I don't know.
do you have a tune on the bike? Exhaust sounds spectacular
Hi Dan! Great sound! I want to buy one!!... I looked on eBay to order one, but I can’t see the specific model for the honda CB650R 2019... Do you have a part number or is there another bike this model fits? ... Just to make sure I order the appropriate system! THX!
@englishbikerdan hi where did you use the exhaust paste , the can Join ? The four pipes?
Do you know if it is also legal in Germany? Because on their website they only say „streetlegal in UK with baffle“
Can you spin the clamp around so the screw is on the bottom or backside of the pipe? I think that would look much neater.
I totally missed that! Good spot!
THE BEANS!!
soon my baby will be 1yo and looking for her a gift hahaha. I really like stock exhaust cause its a bit deep and not sooo sporty. Does it worth it?
and what about "clearance" after install, is it the same as original one? very hard to see it on your amazing video ;-) asking cause I have lots of road bumps on the way to office and don't wanna lose it one day ))
Hi sorry late to thia but I have 2020 plate honda cbr650r and was wondering did this cause any problems over the years? As looking at getting one (the akro is to exspensive? Lol
Hi I have same bike but red model
Does this exhaust impact performance etc in anyway , I’m thinking of the buying the thinner can of black widow
Top vid..... Got this can on my MT07
Test rode the CBR today mate and thought that engine was fantastic...... Getting tempted 🤤🤤🤤
Do it mate, I do love the MT engine but the top end on this thing is bonkers. Plus the suspension is so much better. And the brakes. I'm excited can you tell!
@@Englishbikerdan I can mate 😂 but with good reason 😉 I think that engine was is soooo much more fun than I expected..... Tried the gsxs750 and was a bit "meh!" in comparison 🙃
@@alexwotherspoon5630 Honda sacrificed outright hp for better torque spread from 4k to redline. If you trim some weight off(you can lose about 250kg on this bike easily) you will have a potent track day bike and a road bike in one. Exhaust and Li battery swap is the easiest weight gain alongside passenger footpeg delete, grab rail delete, tail tidy and more.
@@cagednm69 Definitely mate, couldn't agree more 👍
I was really surprised at the amount of usable low end and it's city manners
(I'm in central London)
Not a fan of the stock tyres but can't complain given the retail price but I'd swap for something like Micheline R5's.
I think those tyres hold it back a little in the cornering stakes.
Reckon this may be my next bike 😁
Wow! What an amazing (and lovely) sound! Thanks for sharing !!!
Thanks for watching!
Massive fan of your videos buddy, any chance you have any idea the full name of this exhaust? Cheers
Looks like the can will hit the ground in a hard lean before the peg feeler. Did you check that?
Sounds awesome though. Beautiful bike.
Not something I've checked or worried about but it makes sense as this bike has the biggest hero blobs I've ever seen!
Sounds good! Does the bike come with Metzeler tyres or did you change the stockers?
Came with them thankfully!
sound really good
This is so good. Thanks for the reviee
I can’t get this exhaust in the US which sucks.
Can’t go wrong with black widow 😎
I hope u know u need to re-map the ECU when change to a full-system . . . . .
I have the feeling I will be the only one who likes the stock sound better :P
Not at all, it does have a decent sound for a stock system, just a bit quiet for me! Cheers!
@@Englishbikerdan totally agree, I absolutely love the stock sound of my cbr650r but at speed, or when another bike pulls up next to me, it's just too darned quiet
Bw w/o baffle sounds like a raptor calling its friends in jurassic park
Do you know what part of the bike that whistling is coming from Dan? Heard it when I was taking one out for a test ride and thought it may have been my helmet but can clearly hear it on your video now
Probably my helmet too as I hear it on my other bike.
It's your helmet... not the bike...
Would you say this exhaust is louder than the akrapovic exhaust?
Hi man ! I’m planning on to buy one for myself , is this the 300 mm edition ? Or the 230 mm ? Plz let me know , you can’t see it in a good way on the site . Tnx !! Like your vids !
This was the 230mm one, cheers!
How would compare the 200mm to the 300mm BW exhaust? Got in touch with BW and they warned me against the 200mm as it’s apparently “extremely loud” and that 300mm is the better choice. I’m currently running stock and looking to make more noise! Would love to hear your thoughts!
The 200mm is OK if you have the dB killer in but way too loud without it.
Thanks! So with the DB killer in its not unpleasantly loud? (Obviously subjective...) Sounds amazing on your video in terms of tone etc but it’s quite hard to tell the volume on a recording.
Love your channel by the way!
Did you have any issues with the new gaskets the ones I have seem smaller and once fitted the system blowing like mad from the headers
I used the original gaskets as the bike was only a couple of days old when I fit the new system.
@englishbikerdan did you need a engine remap for this system? Also will it affect the Honda 2 year warranty? Thanks.
I didn't do it but I'd say it may benefit from one.
Great video, quick questions: is your Black Widow system 'Low level' or 'high level'? Thanks in advance
Hey, thank you! I have the low level system, seems much better to me.
@@Englishbikerdan Cheers
I don't like to change the stock exhaust, but I change my mind after watching this
So dope! I'm looking to pick one up once I buy the bike itself in Canada sometime in the near future. Does Blackwidow ship worldwide, let alone Canada?
I'm not sure about shipping I'm afraid.
@@Englishbikerdan that's alright, I might come by just to pick one up 😂 Thanks for the quick reply!
@@shahzinshajid Welcome anytime! 👍😁
great systems for the price iv'e had two just wish they did one for the 1200 super tenere .
Looks and sounds great! Did the exhaust change much with your insurance? Im excited for mine now!
Not too much actually. Enjoy yours!
wait what??... they know an u have to pay more for insurance or wtf there???
Does the honda belly pan still fit with that exhaust?
Do like the look of this bike, especially the exhaust but I do think you will have taken a few BHP and swapped them for noise. If the cat is removed it will need re-mapping at some point. Cheers and thanks for posting.
Thanks, she's a great little bike! Not sure it'll be needed, by that I mean it runs seemingly fine without a tune. I might not be getting the best out of it for sure but boy does she sound good. Going to dyno it soon and make a call on a power commander then.
@@Englishbikerdan Guess if you can get it on a dyno and then see if there are improvements to be had..... make a good vid👍👍Loads of the guys on my MT10 forum have gone down the decat route, all have got big gains from getting the ECU set up (flashed) rather than the power commander route. Cheers
@@Banditmanuk Thanks, not something I've done before myself. Will have to look at all the options, ecu flash might be better! Love your bike......... one day I'll have one! Cheers! Dan
Sounds great and slightly less ugly than the original.
I have ordered the same bike In red, it's on it's way from the factory. I'm thinking of getting this exhaust, how easy/difficult was it to fit it and does it require reprogramming the ECU?
I had no real issues fitting it, just make sure you don't tighten all the bolts, especially header bolts, until it's all on. If you do you might have issues getting the can into the correct place. Remap not required, runs great! Also I used a 3/4" ratchet drive with a universal joint to get to the header bolts without needing to move the radiator. I'll cover this in part 3 though.
Did you have any issues with the o2 sensor not being long enough after fitting new system ?
No issues, reached just fine. 👍
Woukd the sound be too different between full exhaust black widow and just the exhaust?
Most exhausts are full systems due to the exhaust setup. Full system is worth every penny, you get rid of the huge cat being the number one reason
How much does this weigh? Is it a lot lighter than stock?
Part 3 will explain all. Thanks!
Iss this one louder than the Akrapovic ?
No remapping required. As per black widow.
Really wish I could afford this bike right now...
That sounds great.
