After that, Rodarcus begins to respect Merlin and has a huge house with many windows to watch the stars build for him in the middle of forest, ordering 70 scribers to follow Merlin and writing down everything he says. He himself often search advice from Merlin and so do many kings and leaders. You've got one thing wrong... Arthurian Legend is set in the 5th and 6th century. It was written in the 12th century. That contradicts Merlins school years at Hogwarts after its foundation.
Yeah, what I was thinking too and I'm an American who loves the Arthurian Legend and have read everything I've been able to get my hands on. Myrrdiin was born a lot earlier than Hogwarts 990AD, so he couldn't have been in Slytherin.

To hell with these awful Fantastic Beast movies, what the Harry Potter Universe needs is a high budget series with competent writers (that are actual fans of the Universe) that tell us stories like these. Imagine the following stories as a Netflix show: - Proper retelling of the Harry Potter saga that’s fully faithful to the books. - The story of Dumbledore and his battle against Grindelwald (not drawn out with useless subplots like in Fantastic Beasts). - The creation of Hogwarts and the houses with Godric, Rowena, Helga and Salazar. - The story of the Marauders. - Voldemorts youth and rise to power. - The creation of Ilvemorny with Ysolt. - The story of Raczidian. - The story of Ekrizdis. And those are just some on the top of my head. I mean these people are sitting on a gold mine yet don’t seem to understand the potential this universe had to offer to its fans.
@@dboymax1 ther comepletly written by her but she isnt a screenwriter. Crimes is a good Story ther ar Details ther but it Was written like a novel. Steve kloves is neded to then work with her on adapting it.
I think Merlins birth stays faithful to the legends. The muggles with their prejudice portrayed the wizard who fathered Merlin as a devil. Making Merlin a muddblood which is why he cared for muggles because his mother was one
More or Less unrelated but I was writing a Croosover Fanfic Between Harry Potter and Fate were Merlin is a Vital Character to the plot, he has yeat to appear but he is not only Crucial in Voldemort's History but also for Harry and he mets him. There will also appear other magical mythological figures but Merlin is one of the Most important to the plot.
I imagine that Merlin was a full-blood, half-blood at the very least. If he had been a muggle, he would never have been accepted into Slytherin, especially while Salazar Slytherin was still alive.
For those who are interested and have the opportunity, I suggest you to go to the Brocéliande forest in Brittany, there lies Merlin's grave. The legend says that Merlin's wife Vivian (not sure of her name in English) asked him to teach her his powers. He did it and told her of a spell that could trap someone into a jail made out of her. Vivian, deeply in love with Merlin, and so jealous that she was afraid that he would go out with another woman, waited till he fell asleep and trapped Merlin into that air jail. Legend says that we can sometimes hear Merlin yell that someone lets him out.
Ok guys y'all need to watch Merlin BBC on Netflix.... its my favorite show and it had my favorite ship in is (Merthur) it takes a few episode to get into it but its reallyyyy good but the last 2 episodes broke my soul....
If you like Merlin, an excellent Mystery series has him as a detective, but he is not a wizard but a scholar. I personally really like this version of Merlin, the first book is called "The Excalibur murders" by Blair, if you're interested.
Would be cool to have a movie of merlins time threw Hogwarts, showing his story as a young wizard in the Harry Potter universe while also showing the school in its earliest years.
Watching this video was super interesting, even though it conflicts heavily with one of my favorite shows, BCC'S Merlin. I've always thought that Merlin pre-dated Hogwarts and more modern advancements such as the latin spells and defined departments of magical education. It's so interesting how a person can be so disctintly different in each tale about them.
YALL totally should watch BBC merlin It's just so much fun, thrilling, loving, sad It has it all I would totally recommend it It has the most cutest ship ever (merthur)
You said in the start that Dumbledore used it to express surprise. I don't recall to have heard it from Dumbledore, but I have a few other scenes in mind where other wizards have used the phrase, in surprise. Wizards in mind are Slughorn, Arthur Weasely, and Amus Diggory. Slughorn uses the phrase frequently through the story of the Half Blood Prince. From where Dumbledore and Harry meets Slughorn the first time, through the film, also in flashback later, where we see how Slughorn had a conversation with Tom Riddle in the past. In The order of the Phoenix, we hear Arthur Weasly say: "Merlin's beard", as Kingo just sneaks into the elevator in the Ministery, telling that the time of Harry's hearing have just been changed, (hindering Harry and Dumbledore in particular, I'm sure, to attend to it in the first place) And in The Goblet of fire, we hear Amos Diggory express "Merlin's beard" when he meets Harry Potter the first time. Those three scenes from throughout the franchise, are the ones I can come to think of, on my sitting rear end.
I would have liked the BBC version and HP to be one of the same (in regards to his birth) Although he had a muggle mother, his father was a Dragon Lord. Merlin (AKA Emrys - Druid Name) was born OF magic.....he wasnt born WITH it. This is what made him the most powerful sorcerer ever to walk the Earth. He was born of the power within the Crystal Cave (birthplace of magic) and commanded Dragons as a Lord (by even being able to speak to them in their tongue) I think it would have been cool if this version of Merlin was the one who actually went to Hogwarts and to Slytherin
I actually wish that Merlin was the one that put Harry's name in the Goblet Of Fire due to a vision he had of the consequences if that confrontation did not take place. It also seems weird that Rowling did not leave him in his century. He should be a figure of magic of any witch or wizard of any school in the world.
I always believed that Merlin was somehow related to Slytherin based upon his real legends. Possibly the child of Slytherin himself but did not agree with his father's ideas and was more drawn to Gryffindor and Hufflepuff in how they thought about muggles. He would have used his ambition, resourcefulness, determination, and cleverness to bring the magical world together with the non magical world.
I’ve always felt this story or chapter in history is a prequel set of books in and of itself that is worth connecting to the Harry Potter world. The same light hearted magical net can be cast onto the mind of kids and story allowed to mature and develop into a young adult story full of deeper and darker concepts. I’d love to see it.
Merlin also shows up in the third book of C.S. Lewis's Ransom Trilogy, "That Hideous Strength" in which he had slept under Bragdon Wood since the 5th century, awakening in the late 1940s just after the war when the trilogy takes place.
Merlin plays a big part in “That Hideous Strength” the final entry of C.S. Lewis’s Ransom trilogy. It partakes of deep drafts of Arthurian legend. A good companion work to examine the underlying sources of the series is a new release called “Deeper Heaven” by Christiana Hale.
It's interesting that Merlin was such a strong believer that the muggle and wizarding worlds should co-exist yet he was actually in Slytherin at his time at Hogwarts :0
Fan theory : His mother was a muggle, his father was a Dragonlord and he was "cursed" or "infused" with the essence of a demon during the pregnancy. He has wizard magic cuz he's Muggleborn. And all that is why he's so op.
Cool video, quick note though, arthurian legends way older than the 11th century. We're talking dark ages, post roman Britain. Think the first recorded stories are around the 11th century but "Arthur" or at least the myth would've been pre-viking.
Gilderoy Lockhart lied about his achievements when he was awarded the Order of Merlin third class. Peter Pettigrew also won due to false claims of bravery.
The big contradiction you left out is that while stories of Arthur come much later he supposedly ruled in the 5th or 6th century. Which puts a large hole in Merlin studying at Hogwarts. In terms of Arthurian legend yes he's usually supposed to have been the child of a demon (probably an incubus possibly Satan) and a human although there's a school of thought that the oldest stories may hve said his father was a god and the Christians changed that to demon.
Never made sense that you go further back in time and all of a sudden muggles are a danger. Wizards were infinitely more powerful and the further you go back muggles are less of a threat and there's no way they could be driven into persecution
@ if he was in school under Slytherin himself, he would have had to be pure blood. The house only accepted pure blood for a long time, but as the ages went on, it became more and more rare to have a true pure blood lineage. So they started accepting others.
I think merlin could be half blood, he could have had a very good relationship with his muggle parent which could affect his relations with muggles in general, his dad could be a wizard (someone muggles would regard as a demon) and his mom could be a muggle He could of course also be a muggle born but I doubt that and I don't think he is a pureblood because we don't hear any pure blood family brag about having him as their ancestor And blood status has no affect on power
True, though notably, some of the most powerful and talented Wizards in the story were Half-Bloods. Voldemort, Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore was stated to be no slouch, either, though nothing compared to Albus, as well as Snape and McGonagall. Many of Harry's teachers have also commented on his natural power and skill, though he's not seen or spoken of as having anything near prodigious ability in anything other than D.A.D.A.. You do have a point, though. Perhaps his theoretical Muggle mother just being a great Mom made him see Muggles and probably Muggle-borns in a different light than most other Slytherins usually do.
What if Aretuza fall and in the ruins of the old school, 4 wizards rebuild the castle and create the Hogwarts? Toss a coin to a Weasly, oh valley of plenty
While King Arthur was a boy, he was home-schooled, and Merlin at the time acted as: "teacher" to him. Up in the tower, in Arthur's childhood home. In a room that was called: the library. A big fine owl bird was the mascot at the time. (Worked as assistant letter pigeon as well). Also Merlin's great wizard's book was out and open at that time, during the whole lesson indoors. Merlin also showed the boy King Arthur the big world out there too, as part of his teaching. And also taught him the legends of the great Mythical Beasts. (Like e.g. The dragons).
"Portraits are paintings made of certain individuals, namely witches and wizards. The subject of a magical portrait is sentient due to enchantments placed on the portrait by the painter. The portrait will be able to use some of the subject's favorite phrases and imitate their general demeanor based on how the subject appears to the painter; however, they are limited in what they can say or do. A portrait can also move from portrait to portrait, or else visit a portrait of them elsewhere in the world." Source: harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Portrait
It is not a Horcrux coz 1.) It doesn't contain a part of a soul of anybody, and 2.) It doesn't provide immortality to the owner. It just simply is enchanted.
Actually, a painting would be a pretty neat way to hide your horcrux, huh? Everyone would already be expecting it to be enchanted, so perhaps you could simply command it to "lay low", or something. Then again there's the whole "dark magic leaves traces" thing, so idk.
-Merlin was a Hogwarts student who helped muggles? What house was he in then? Griffindor? -No -Racenclaw? -No -Hufflepuff then! -No -so he didn't attend Hogwarts -He did, but he joined Slytherin -...
theres a big flaw in calling him the best of all time - its more likely he was the best of that time as time goes on more and more spells and charms are made to be made use of situations that he couldn't think of - ie during war times it would be expected an influx of defensive charms to be made or improved on
@jack rogers power doesn't equal best look at voldemort and dumbledore voldemort had more power but because dumbledore had ethics he didn't use them magic folk in recent times would have more spells compared to their counter parts in medieval times What I am saying is you cant say hes the best as there has been lack of a better word 'power crept' due to the expanded knowledge of magic compared to what he knew if you play any TCGs you can understand that old cards are outclassed by new cards because of new and better effects (spells)
@jack rogers sorry to say this but, we know very little about merlins power or life in harry potter. He was named as the prince of enchanters so theres no doubt he was powerful however, as the centuries passed, more spells and magical knowledge would become known so people like Dumbledore, Voldemort, grindelwald ect have much more magic to learn compared to merlin who likley was limited due to there being less magical knowledge back then
@jack rogers no it doesn't man. The harry potter wiki (which is not a canon source of information) states that merlin is arguably the most powerful wizard of all time. But thats just speculation, not fact. Il say again, we know very little about merlins life in the harry potter universe.
@jack rogers let's go with your logic then You are comparing things in the medieval times are equal to if not greater than current times That's dumb Everything has gotten better compared to then thanks to education Back then knowledge was limited I mean there wasn't a school back then til Hogwarts so it was homeschooling which relied on the parents knowledge But in recent times you have teachers that have to be trained and qualified to teach This gives students more of an advantage compared to Merlin, having 8+ specialised teachers compared to 1
@@matthewmcmillan1337 i think if we were to pin point merlins power, he likley grew more powerful than the hogwarts founders and was the most powerful of his age, however i dont think we would have reached the same heights as Dumbledore, Voldemort or Grindelwald (like you said, they have access to far more magic knowledge and spells that merlin did)
My take: There was an actual, separate Arthurian Merlin of the 5th Century, who served the historical Arthur during better times for Wizarding-Muggle relations. The one who attended Hogwarts may be a descendant of his and Nimue's.
I do feel as though being a Slytherin himself he had to have been born a pureblood for Salazar Slytherin to teach him as Salazar absolutely despised anything muggle born or half blood. Being that in the older days, the punishments for children were so gruesome that it actually led to the death of some students I wouldn't put it past Salazar to have been involved in those kinds of tortures especially with students that weren't pureblood.
Hes powerful for his age. When we see him right at the end of book 7 (when hes in his 40s and head of the auror office) hes likley a very powerful wizard.

I love BBC's Merlin. There's a Harry Potter/Merlin crossover on Fanfiction.net called Ancient Relics that I reread every now and then.
Gundam Heavyarms I read a crossover called Merlin & Harry Potter Loss of Light, I suggest you read it, it’s really good
yesssss 😩😩
The choice of music really adds to these videos. Best HP channel out there
Man you need to stop making videos , i recently discovered this channel literally sat my gf down the other day and binge watched every single harry potter movie 😅😅. Now I'm hooked to this channel , amazing and great content keep it up!
I like the BBC’s series of Merlin, and I like to link that to the Harry Potter film series
"Dumbledore says Merlin's Beard a lot."
Slughorn: am I a joke to you!?
"So why in the name of Merlin's saggy left--"
"What in the name of Merlin's most baggy Y-fronts was that about?"
Can we just take a minute to appreciate Ron's beautifully flowery Merlin-related vocabulary?
You've got one thing wrong...
Arthurian Legend is set in the 5th and 6th century. It was written in the 12th century.
That contradicts Merlins school years at Hogwarts after its foundation.
Yeah, what I was thinking too and I'm an American who loves the Arthurian Legend and have read everything I've been able to get my hands on. Myrrdiin was born a lot earlier than Hogwarts 990AD, so he couldn't have been in Slytherin.
Merlin's beard! He finally posted a video about Merlin!
I’m pretty sure if Merlin were Muggle-born, he wouldn’t have been in Slytherin.
*No young man, no matter how great, can know his destiny. He cannot glimpse his part in the great story that is about to unfold. Like everyone he must live and learn. And so it will be for the young warlock arriving at the gates of Camelot, a boy that will in time father a legend.... His name.... MERLIN*
To hell with these awful Fantastic Beast movies, what the Harry Potter Universe needs is a high budget series with competent writers (that are actual fans of the Universe) that tell us stories like these. Imagine the following stories as a Netflix show:
- Proper retelling of the Harry Potter saga that’s fully faithful to the books.
Also the first wizarding war
Weren't the Fantastic Beasts films partially written by JK herself?
Yeeeesssss!!
@@dboymax1 ther comepletly written by her but she isnt a screenwriter. Crimes is a good Story ther ar Details ther but it Was written like a novel.
Steve kloves is neded to then work with her on adapting it.
And jk rowling is the creatour . Noone can write better in a universe then the creatour itself
If Merlin was a student of Slytherin himself then, perhaps, he would have been at Hogwarts with The Bloody Baron.
I think Merlins birth stays faithful to the legends. The muggles with their prejudice portrayed the wizard who fathered Merlin as a devil. Making Merlin a muddblood which is why he cared for muggles because his mother was one
Imagine what Harry Potter's reaction would be if he met Merlin?
In what context. If Merlin had suddenly raised from the dead he would likely be in shock.
Merlin never died he just disappeared after Arthur’s death.
Good story idea harry meets merlin
Update the story a bit. Take a page from Star Trek and clone Merlin the same way the Klingons cloned Kahless.
4:27 that right there is an angel making her apperance before our eyes 😭❤️❤️
Merlin doesn't have the weakness of needing a wand. He just needs to be hidden and his eyes will glow. He is also immortal.
BBC Merlin is different from the Merlin in the HP universe. Lol but BBC Merlin would be unstoppable, Voldemort wouldn’t stand a chance 😂
@@Allthingsasian Merlin from Harry Potter & The tv series from BBC is considered the strongest wizard to have ever exist.
And he also has demon blood, demons being very powerful entities would make Merlin’s magic much more superior
The Arthurian legend actually takes place during the sub-Roman period.
Merlin was betrayed by his false love and apprentice in the end
Do you mean Vivian?
kasih saputra
There was only one betrayal outside of recent fiction so yes I hope so👌
Nimue
I love the story of Merlin in the series of multiple season from 2008 - 2012 entitled "Merlin".
Merlin's Pants
- Hermione Granger, Deathly Hallows
I imagine that Merlin was a full-blood, half-blood at the very least. If he had been a muggle, he would never have been accepted into Slytherin, especially while Salazar Slytherin was still alive.
Since they many wizards celebrate Christmas/ Yule I have to ask.. Were their any religious witches and wizards? Was ol' Jesus a wizard???
If Jesus was a wizard he's definitely a gryffindor.
@@christopherchuauhang4829 honestly I'd see him more as a Hufflepuff. Due to his kindness towards all and being a hard dedicated individual.
Most likely witches and wizards celebrate the midwinter "pagan" version of Yule, not the Christian version.
Merlin could have conversations with dragons.
some people would say jesus is a slytherin
I’d like to think Merlin had a talking own named Archimedes.
The highly educated owl lol.
*Owl
I agree, that was the golden age of bbc tv
Ik watching ig again
Is it ok for twelve year olds coz my parents are kind of strict
@@harrypotterstories2360 there are some kissing other than its clean 😊
Nuzeee_ K ok thank u
I always wanted a series about the 4 founders of Hogwarts and with students like Merlin that could actually be a really cool concept
I think merlin was a half-blood and hence his strong feelings when it came to muggless and wizards living side by side.
If you like Merlin, an excellent Mystery series has him as a detective, but he is not a wizard but a scholar. I personally really like this version of Merlin, the first book is called "The Excalibur murders" by Blair, if you're interested.
"Merlin's beard Tom...7 Horcruxes"
Harry's broken glasses.
Would be cool to have a movie of merlins time threw Hogwarts, showing his story as a young wizard in the Harry Potter universe while also showing the school in its earliest years.
Slytherin and Merlin, much like Plato and Aristotle.
Is Merlin welsh ?
Plus Plato where is Atlantis at ?
I’d love it if merlin and Atlantis were both true stories!
I wasn't really into Harry Potter until I started watching your channel but your enthusiasm is contagious, keep up the great work
Merlin was a Welsh wizard. I was born in a Welsh town called Carmarthen. Carmarthen is Welsh for Merlins Fort
YALL totally should watch BBC merlin
It's just so much fun, thrilling, loving, sad
It has it all
I would totally recommend it
It has the most cutest ship ever (merthur)
Yeah😢
Merlin and Arthur? Then I guess no...
@@Shadow-sq2yj it's your choice tho
The ending had me in tears
@@nickb6618 same 😢
You said in the start that Dumbledore used it to express surprise.
I would have liked the BBC version and HP to be one of the same (in regards to his birth)
Although he had a muggle mother, his father was a Dragon Lord.
Merlin (AKA Emrys - Druid Name) was born OF magic.....he wasnt born WITH it. This is what made him the most powerful sorcerer ever to walk the Earth.
He was born of the power within the Crystal Cave (birthplace of magic) and commanded Dragons as a Lord (by even being able to speak to them in their tongue)
I think it would have been cool if this version of Merlin was the one who actually went to Hogwarts and to Slytherin
I actually wish that Merlin was the one that put Harry's name in the Goblet Of Fire due to a vision he had of the consequences if that confrontation did not take place.
It also seems weird that Rowling did not leave him in his century. He should be a figure of magic of any witch or wizard of any school in the world.
I read that Merlin was imprisoned by Vivian, a student of Morgana. Legend has it that he will wake again when England needs him the most.
Albus once said to newt, "how in the name merlin you got this"
In fantastic beasts 2.... means merlin's era was way before albus's
If Merlin was in Slytherin it would be hilarious if Morgan Le Fay was a Gryffindor.
It’s crazy to think of Merlin as a STUDENT of the Founders-they were truly on another level!!
Rando: How strong are you?
Merlin: yes
I’ve always felt this story or chapter in history is a prequel set of books in and of itself that is worth connecting to the Harry Potter world. The same light hearted magical net can be cast onto the mind of kids and story allowed to mature and develop into a young adult story full of deeper and darker concepts. I’d love to see it.
Merlin’s Beard...that was bloody brilliant!
Fun fact: there is a Netflix show called Merlin
And Only reason to watch that is Morgana Pentdragon.
BBC show* one of my favourite
I'd kill to know how "Merlin's pants" became the thing to say ;)
Me too maybe Hermione knows as she uses it
Wish there was a movie for Merlin's story in HP universe, also bringing Founders of Hogwarts and their clashes.
“Emrys’ *BEARD!*”
Fan theory : His mother was a muggle, his father was a Dragonlord and he was "cursed" or "infused" with the essence of a demon during the pregnancy. He has wizard magic cuz he's Muggleborn. And all that is why he's so op.
Its seem everybody in the comment section has forgotten John Boorman's 1981 "EXCALIBUR"
Merlin in that movie, played by Nicol Williamson was amazing.
No one:
My life: hello and welcome to another instalment or Harry Potter Theory
I know that Merlin couldn't have been Muggle-born because if he was, there's no way he would've been in Slytherin.
What about Snape? harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Severus_Snape
@ Snapes half blood, like Voldermort. Half bloods are accepted into Slytherin.
@ if he was in school under Slytherin himself, he would have had to be pure blood. The house only accepted pure blood for a long time, but as the ages went on, it became more and more rare to have a true pure blood lineage. So they started accepting others.
I think merlin could be half blood, he could have had a very good relationship with his muggle parent which could affect his relations with muggles in general, his dad could be a wizard (someone muggles would regard as a demon) and his mom could be a muggle
He could of course also be a muggle born but I doubt that and I don't think he is a pureblood because we don't hear any pure blood family brag about having him as their ancestor
And blood status has no affect on power
Wizards: We are the strongest
Humans: Allow us to introduce the division of the atom
While King Arthur was a boy, he was home-schooled, and Merlin at the time acted as: "teacher" to him. Up in the tower, in Arthur's childhood home. In a room that was called: the library. A big fine owl bird was the mascot at the time. (Worked as assistant letter pigeon as well). Also Merlin's great wizard's book was out and open at that time, during the whole lesson indoors. Merlin also showed the boy King Arthur the big world out there too, as part of his teaching. And also taught him the legends of the great Mythical Beasts. (Like e.g. The dragons).
Based on his birth story in legend he would be a half-blood
Question how is a painting made is it like a hourcrux or something else
"Portraits are paintings made of certain individuals, namely witches and wizards. The subject of a magical portrait is sentient due to enchantments placed on the portrait by the painter. The portrait will be able to use some of the subject's favorite phrases and imitate their general demeanor based on how the subject appears to the painter; however, they are limited in what they can say or do. A portrait can also move from portrait to portrait, or else visit a portrait of them elsewhere in the world."
Source: harrypotter.fandom.com/wiki/Portrait
It is not a Horcrux coz
1.) It doesn't contain a part of a soul of anybody, and
2.) It doesn't provide immortality to the owner.
I like that jk didn't use merlin too much. So many other great characters to focus on.
Bro , MERLIN is one of the Coolest , Funniest , and Powerful character I have ever seen....IDK about HP Merlin but Real Merlin from BBC is best of all
-Merlin was a Hogwarts student who helped muggles? What house was he in then? Griffindor?
-No
-Racenclaw?
-No
-Hufflepuff then!
-No
-so he didn't attend Hogwarts
-He did, but he joined Slytherin
-...
theres a big flaw in calling him the best of all time - its more likely he was the best of that time
as time goes on more and more spells and charms are made to be made use of situations that he couldn't think of - ie during war times it would be expected an influx of defensive charms to be made or improved on
@jack rogers power doesn't equal best look at voldemort and dumbledore
voldemort had more power but because dumbledore had ethics he didn't use them
magic folk in recent times would have more spells compared to their counter parts in medieval times
What I am saying is you cant say hes the best as there has been lack of a better word 'power crept' due to the expanded knowledge of magic compared to what he knew
if you play any TCGs you can understand that old cards are outclassed by new cards because of new and better effects (spells)
@jack rogers let's go with your logic then
You are comparing things in the medieval times are equal to if not greater than current times
That's dumb
Everything has gotten better compared to then thanks to education
Back then knowledge was limited I mean there wasn't a school back then til Hogwarts so it was homeschooling which relied on the parents knowledge
But in recent times you have teachers that have to be trained and qualified to teach
This gives students more of an advantage compared to Merlin, having 8+ specialised teachers compared to 1
@@matthewmcmillan1337 i think if we were to pin point merlins power, he likley grew more powerful than the hogwarts founders and was the most powerful of his age, however i dont think we would have reached the same heights as Dumbledore, Voldemort or Grindelwald (like you said, they have access to far more magic knowledge and spells that merlin did)
My take: There was an actual, separate Arthurian Merlin of the 5th Century, who served the historical Arthur during better times for Wizarding-Muggle relations. The one who attended Hogwarts may be a descendant of his and Nimue's.
That's so lame i honestly don't understand why you like this take of yours.
We need a book and/or film about merlin.
How powerful was Harry Potter? The films made it seem like his power level was mediocre
Mac Welch in the books he was very powerful, in the movies he was mediocre at best
A video about this exists i think
Juan Manuel Cardona even in the books, I personally always felt like Harry was weaker than he should’ve been
Hes powerful for his age. When we see him right at the end of book 7 (when hes in his 40s and head of the auror office) hes likley a very powerful wizard.
no he is just lucky.
Merlin pants, this was amazing the visuals the information Everything Brilliant HP theory,💯👍
I think that Merlin would be half or pure blood as Salazar Slytherin taught him and we know his nature towards muggle born wizards or witches
"Merlin's beard!" said Dumbledore in a calm voice.
Hogwarts Legacy brought me here.
Being in slytherin, wouldnt he be at least a half blood
Who was the first student ever sorted in Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry? Good topic, just a thought!
