And considering the fact that people were still afraid because of the war 13 years prior, they decided it'd be easy to just have more kids than to try and save those. And also Molly is a very capable witch. Anyone who was even remotely capable either switched sides to the death eaters, or they were killed or went into hiding assuming that the war was already lost. But these are all speculations. I would've loved to see the final battle to be filled with witches and wizards from all over. In fact, muggles could become werewolves too. They were just very less likely to survive a werewolf bite, so there werent much muggle werewolves around.
True enough. In "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery", though, there is an example of a Muggle Werewolf -- Penny Haywood's Muggle friend Scarlett Sparks was bitten by a Werewolf, though hopefully not by Fenrir Greyback, and survived the bite, though she also had to cope with the shame and isolation after being infected with Lycanthropy and becoming a Werewolf. Many werewolves like Scarlett Sparks, Chiara Lobosca, and Remus Lupin keep their condition a secret and try to get by with their lives as best as they can. Fenrir Greyback really brought a lot of the Werewolf's bad reputation upon them and every other Werewolf by setting out to infect as many children with Lycanthropy as possible. Wolfsbane Potion is a recent invention by Potioneer Damocles Belby. While it can't cure Lycanthropy, it can help a Werewolf maintain control over his/her/their lucidity during their transformation. Because sugar and sugar substitutes cancel out the effects of Wolfsbane Potion, the Werewolf has to drink it pretty quickly to not dwell on the taste so much.
I was just thinking the same thing. He EATS people in his human form, I can't even imagine how much more dangerous he'd be with his wits about him while he's transformed.
I don't know if Fenrir Greyback ever took Wolfsbane Potion or not. Wolfsbane Potion allows the Werewolf to maintain control over himself/herself/themselves during his/her/their transformation and was a recent creation, though it can't be taken with anything sweet, not even sugar and sugar substitutes, or the effects will be neutralized.
the wolfsbane potion wasn’t invented till mid to late ‘80s and it was a difficult potion to make, so it’s unlikely he had access, but it’s possible there was a competent potion maker in the death eaters group..
It's been so long since I've read the books it never occurred to me to ask why Remus was a werewolf. I just accepted the fact and moved on. But now hearing the backstory and knowing the truth it's heartbreaking that happened to him and at such a young age.
Read books 3 and 6. In Book 3, Lupin talks about when he was bitten, how there was no cure for the bites and infection, and how Dumbledore made it possible for Lupin to come to Hogwarts as a student when no other headmaster would have allowed it. He talks about how he found out it was Greyback who actually bit him, and Greyback’s behavior after he himself got infected, in Book 6. Pretty much everything said in this video was told in the books. I love Lupin’s voice in the audiobook versions narrated by Jim Dale. It’s really interesting. It took me a while to link the 2 stories together. I think it took me 3 times listening to the audiobooks to finally sink in.

Something I've never understood is if once the wizard transforms into a werewolf, he loses the sense of right and wrong and seemingly not remembering who his friends are (e,g., attacking friends in the Forbidden Forest), how could Greyback be in such control of who to attack in wolf form (e.g., seeking out Remus as a child)?
Video idea for you to do: What additional effects do spells have that are not seen in the movies? For instance, what else can the patronus charm do besides ward off dementors?
I would say that Greyback's hatred, especially of children, points to his transformation being done as a child...perhaps even as late as 10 or 11...right before going to Hogwarts. He would have been TAKEN after his parents were killed...and it would be easy to manipulate his feelings for OTHER school age wizards toward hate. In his motives to warping young children into werewolves was likely reflective in how he was treated himself. So, there's an evil werewolf...a father figure that's a murdering werewolf..that is behind Greyback's insanity.
I've always wondered what would happen if Voldemort gets bitten by a werewolf? Would the curse affect him in any way or would he be immune given how much dark magic was already surrounding him?
The first thing that would happen is the werewolf would feel kinda sick and then feel very very dead... As for what would happen to Voldemort I have no freaking clue what kind of wolf snake man mutant you would end up with on a full moon.
i think option 3 book version is that after greyback was left disabled in the battle of hogwarts, that someone likely killed him. He ruined countless lives on a level that any of the death eaters scarcely could even rivial. so it would not be hard to imagine that seeing him defenenceless during the battle that someone may have put an end to him once and for all to make sure this terrible man could never harm anyone ever again, whether that comes from a place of personal experiment with family or friends affected by his actions or a sense of justice. Also while stunned the chaos of the battle with the numerous beasts like arcomantula included he may have been killed by the falling of debries or perhaps a hungry young arcromantula that saw an easy meal. It would be fitting with the latter if greybacvk did meat his end at the hands of a hungry spider like he did to so many others.

Those years doesn't go with me, as Fenrir was born 13.1.1945 (saw it somewhere). If he was really born 1945 he attended Hogwarts in 1955 and ended his attendance in Hogwarts assuming he was bitten shortly AFTER graduation which was in 1962. So he was bitten around his 17 max 18 yo. Somewhere I read Fenrir started resenting wizarding society after Lyall's insensitive wording during trial with Fenrir pretending he's muggle; which held place in 1965. This had to string something painful inside of Fenrir's heart because he decided to bite Remus, not Lyall as a revenge. So I assume he was probably disowned by his family due to his lycantrophy and Lyall's words reminded him this. In Fenrir's head was probably: "You said that werewolves are all monsters and deserves to die. So how will you like if you'll have your own son being turned into werewolf?" By the way, RIP the great David Legeno, who portrayed Fenrir Greyback and made his character exclusive. Especially in HBP. (If there could be any replacement for Dave I'd think about Khabib Nurmagomedov but he's not an actor but retired fighter in octagon :D Dave was both :D )
Muggles don’t always die if bitten, in the order of the Phoenix, when mr. Weasley was bitten by nagini and was in hospital, we see remus go up to a muggle who was bitten and was mentioned more than once
exactly some muggles survive and some wizards die, wizard usually have longer lifespan than muggles so there could be higher resistance, but the survival of werewolve-bite can go either way, for both muggle or wizard, it´s just that a wizard body is way way way more likely to survive....all of this not regarding the amount of injury, that the werewolve brings you alongside the actual bite, which is highly likely to shift the possibillity of survival^^
the man that was bitten by a werewolf in St mungos was a wizard not a muggle, the mention of the muggle in St mungos was a guy that had some fingers bitten off by a bewitched muggle artifact and he had come in to have them regrown and his memory modified
After the things he has done, I can completely see Ron or Nevil killing him, he ruined Lupen and many more lives and had no remorse. Those are the types you take down for keeps.
Absolutely. There's no guarantee that Fenrir Greyback would not have bitten one of Harry's and Ginny's future children, one of Ron's and Hermione's future children, one of Neville's and Hannah's future children, Draco's and Astoria's son Scorpio, etc. had somebody not brought him down.
Lupin was scared because wizarding world doesn't teach anything about genetics. And also nothing about birth control or talking with my wife if we wants to have a kids. :D At least not back in 80's and 90's where is all HP story dated
He was afraid of passing the curse to his child because werewolves having offsprings was unprecedented. They were never known for breeding. He would therefore have no idea if he would pass the curse on to his son by way of genetics.
No. Fenrir Greyback was bitten by a Werewolf and chose to bite and spread Lycanthropy to as many children as possible. Remus Lupin is scared because he doesn't know that Lycanthropy is only transmissible via bite wounds and that his and Nymphadora Tonks Lupin's son Edward "Teddy" Remus Lupin would not inherit Lupin's Lycanthropy. I can't vouch for two Werewolves actually being able to mate and procreate while they're in their Wolf forms. If they are, their puppies would look so cute.
Could you do a video please on the weasley family clock and how it works by keeping whereabouts and conditions on the weasley children I read in the order of the phoenix book

I reckon Greyback survived the battle of Hogwarts too. Although I don’t know what the crystal ball contains that Trelawney hit him with. It could’ve fried his brain 🧠 and sent him into the beyond.
squib is reversed muggle in wizarding world so I think he wouldn't survive. and you don't want Filch to be werewolf on top of all his nastiness. He would surely have a fleas!!!
"A became a fully fledged monster once a month". Huh, who would of thought my girlfriend and someone with the Werewolf curse would have something in common...she too becomes very agreesive once a month and sheds blood. I was just hit, and she's not due to transform for another couple weeks.
I've wondered why being a werewolf was such a disability for a wizard? I mean it does suck and place inconveniences on an infected individual. Couldn't said wizard just aperate to the other side of the world a couple nights a month and sleep it off during the daytime, thereby avoiding the lunar cycle and transforming?
Considering lycanthropy in this universe is somewhat of an allegory for the AIDS virus, it makes what Fenrir did to Remus and other children especially haunting, almost as if he was a molestor.
It's explained in book; he saw Sirius and Pettigrew coming into Shrieking Sacks on Marauder's Map he confiscated from Harry earlier. along with Ron, Harry and Hermione. So he left in a hurry there and Severus who brought him his goblet missed with him, instead of Remus he found that map...
Ok me and my cousin sky rose 🥀 both love Harry Potter but I feel bad for Lupin and Grey back no one wants to be alone or outcasted or hated but she still has no gate she loves this and I do feel feel bad about Remus and Grey back but it’s still sad because no one wants to be a werewolf or anything to give others fear or anything
Frankly, I think the naming wizards should have been killed. Clearly the parent's of both Fenrir Greyback and Remus Lupin hired these people to name their kids. Otherwise, what stupid parents already with lycan related surnames would give their kids names like Fenrir and Remus?...that just screams "Bite my child!"
werewolves transform under the full moon. canon. the full moon was already risen but remus didn't transform until the clouds moved aside and revealed it. is it the light of the moon or it's relationship to the earth? asking for a friend.
There is evidence of mixed breeds between goblins, veela, giants, and humans with wizards. Does that mean they are all part of the same genetic family similar to horses, zebras, and donkeys being part of the same family and interbreeding? How did the veela, goblin, and giant species come about? Spells, potions, or natural mutations? Did they come before wizards, same time as wizards or after wizards?
Okay considering that I have heard JK herself an interviews State the exact opposite as far as Muggles being able to be transformed into werewolves I'm going to take that part of it with a huge grain of salt, but as far as everything else with the video excellent work my dude
I've not read the books, so maybe this is addressed, but wouldn't a blood transfusion be the answer? If your blood has been infected with lycantheopy, wouldn't this be the perfect solution? You need new blood
@@EnderOfFlops in a transfusion, you are not removing all of a person's blood. Don't you people know how transfusions work? The person is receiving blood. You learn their blood type. The hospital has all blood types available. The individual is then provided the blood that matches their blood type. How much they are given depends on their size. Blood isn't removed, it's given! That's why a transfusion is the best solution. About every 6-8 weeks. Plenty of people have blood transfusions every month. Hemophiliacs, those with sickle cell, for example. It is done all the time!
@@unionjack84 well then it wouldn't cure anything given lycanthropy is CANONICALLY a parallel to HIV, which resides in the blood when contracted and cannot be removed.
Snape literally saved his life with the wolfsbane potion 😭
He is a prime example of (fictional) how if you isolate and victimize someone they will become a thorn in your side…
You got me RIGHT together. Ima watch it again. 🐼💙

@@shinobi2237what one do you use please tell me 🙏
If Lycanthropy can be transmitted for a bit does that mean it's a bacterial curs
Could a witch drawn powers from a werewolf heart?or give a pack of wolves a heartache from one werewolf heart.
Where was all the 80's and 90's fashion!? I didn't leg warmers and Neon!
This guy sounds more interesting than Voldemort tbh 😮
Let's be honest with ourselves here people grayback was so weak even the inquisitors could kill him.
Tonks was so beautiful.
Fenrir Greyback stand alone movie
And get Powerwolf to do the soundtrack.
But I thought Lupin was scared of passing the curse to his son... So it's possible Fenrir was born a werewolf.
A very powerful werewolf that was able to die while walking at the death valley...
shut up, okay? -_-
In the series I never see or hear a witch (fe) becoming or transforming to a werewolf just the males
Out of the villains tho he's up there with the best
Voldemort is just human nature hating his own since his is half blood as well
How is the werewolf population kept under control after so many centuries? After so many people being bitten, how are under control
Sadly, the actor of Fenrir passed away due to a heat stroke.
I saw that Hogwarts Mystery in the video! 👀😎

werewolf humor is on a different level.
They make better heavy metal musicians.
I've always wondered why werewolf of London was written lol
RIP Greyback
I reckon Greyback survived the battle of Hogwarts too. Although I don’t know what the crystal ball contains that Trelawney hit him with. It could’ve fried his brain 🧠 and sent him into the beyond.
Could a squib become a werewolf? I would think not,....but I'm not 100% sure.
squib is reversed muggle in wizarding world so I think he wouldn't survive. and you don't want Filch to be werewolf on top of all his nastiness. He would surely have a fleas!!!
I think it’s so messed up how werewolves and Thestrals are treated by the Wizarding world.
Very Succinctly put, keep Up The Good Work 🤩
Can a woman become a werewolf? If not, can't we have a bunch of witches ensuring that they don't attack anyone?
Could you do a video on Igor Karkaroff he is a very mysterious character
If wizards have no idea what they've done as werewolves and vice versa how did greyback remember his grudge against lupin snr?
He had a grudge with him before he turned into a werewolf
Considering lycanthropy in this universe is somewhat of an allegory for the AIDS virus, it makes what Fenrir did to Remus and other children especially haunting, almost as if he was a molestor.
How come Lupin didn't take any wolfsbane when he changed under the whomping willow?
It's explained in book; he saw Sirius and Pettigrew coming into Shrieking Sacks on Marauder's Map he confiscated from Harry earlier. along with Ron, Harry and Hermione. So he left in a hurry there and Severus who brought him his goblet missed with him, instead of Remus he found that map...
The Line of Fenrir Greyback:
Unnamed Werewolf - Fenrir Greyback - Remus Lupin - Teddy (Nymphadora and Lupin's Son)
Actually, in the Deathly Hallows, it's said that Teddy is NOT a werewolf!
@@a.j.vantassell2785 exactly, he's metamorphomagus, like Nymph
Ok me and my cousin sky rose 🥀 both love Harry Potter but I feel bad for Lupin and Grey back no one wants to be alone or outcasted or hated but she still has no gate she loves this and I do feel feel bad about Remus and Grey back but it’s still sad because no one wants to be a werewolf or anything to give others fear or anything
Wait so who bit Greyback? I missed that part.
Me
Strange they didn't find a way to turn at will.
If Nagini was bitten by a werewolf would she turn into a wolf?
nope because she was already maledictus
I thought you can also be born a werewolf, like Teddy Lupin
Teddy wasn't a werewolf.
I’d love if Teddy and Victoire hunted Greyback down years later and eliminated him.
IT MIGHT B INTERESTING TO

He used to be the transporter, huh
werewolves transform under the full moon. canon.
the full moon was already risen but remus didn't transform until the clouds moved aside and revealed it.
is it the light of the moon or it's relationship to the earth?
asking for a friend.
Did werewolves have to get wolf like names or did you have to have a wolf name?
Grey back should have been introduced movie three
There is evidence of mixed breeds between goblins, veela, giants, and humans with wizards. Does that mean they are all part of the same genetic family similar to horses, zebras, and donkeys being part of the same family and interbreeding? How did the veela, goblin, and giant species come about? Spells, potions, or natural mutations? Did they come before wizards, same time as wizards or after wizards?
Thats a good revenge.
The Tale of Wolf-Man Greg
Im sorry....I think Fenrir is so handsome. I know he is despicable but i can't ignore his looks
Okay considering that I have heard JK herself an interviews State the exact opposite as far as Muggles being able to be transformed into werewolves I'm going to take that part of it with a huge grain of salt, but as far as everything else with the video excellent work my dude
How much do all the Harry Potter movies?
Greyback is regular wizardlogic
I've not read the books, so maybe this is addressed, but wouldn't a blood transfusion be the answer? If your blood has been infected with lycantheopy, wouldn't this be the perfect solution? You need new blood
nope, it's not how it works... it's not even any close with how transfusion works
@@raveniaelhoran2647 Why would it not work? A transfusion would be a idea solution. What Remus needed was new blood. His blood was tainted.
@@unionjack84 you cannot remove all the blood in the body without killing the person, so no. You cannot just transfuse blood.
You cannot remove something that lives in blood without removing all the blood in a body which again, would kill them.
Am I really the one who knows nothing of transfusions here?
