i agree a lot with the new mechanics part. All of tech mods are based around giving inputs and spitting items/fluids out. What happens is that this becomes boring and applied energistics needs to do the work. Some things like create's rotacional energy go in the right direction, but dont really add depth, which makes those systems just another incovenience later on.
GT6 adds in a few structures I think. As I was traversing the wilds a few days ago I came upon a bunker in the middle of the ocean that had some useful resources and many books. It felt so mysterious especially given barely anyone plays GT6
Too much chemistry? I think we should adapt the aluminum processing line from SuperSymmetry I would also like to see freq added to the power gen system. Like, not only do we have Volts and Amps but also Hz. Like, some machines generate, say, 300hz by default which then would have to be converted to 50/60/... hz to be used by other machines Also, would like to see temperature affecting machines. Say, you have a server room and it gets overheated, so you have to let it cool down and until then you're unable to use your ME system. Each drive generates, say, 40k Joules by default. By adding more cells, the number gets higher. So, you would have to put it all in a some sort of multiblock to sustain the right temperature in the room
I'm developing a 3D game engine in C++. It's not a voxel engine like minecraft it is an engine like unity. I'm working on it for 2 years and I'm still developing it. Maybe we can make GregTech but in C++. A new gregtech game maybe
@@jopiesaus33 I think you meant microsoft. They can say whatever they want but it's 1.7.10 and as long as the guideline doesn't apply to older version ppl are still going make gun mods
The only thing I sorta agree is the mechanics thing the rest is 1. The endgame "issue". As much as yes, it is bullshit for some modpacks, like GTNH, it is meant to be bullshit. You are already progressing at speeds way higher than actual humanity, so you will obviously use ludicrous power, and more advanced machinery in the extremely late stages of the game. 2. Chemistry. GregTech is meant to be in the end somewhat realistic. And most heavy industry, that is presented in GT, these days rely on chemistry. Although it would be cool to see more mechanical machine chains, or a bit more touch on the research part, and making it also come sooner into the game. 3. Exploration. GT is a tech mod. NEEEEEEEEEEEEXT 4. Lore. GT is just a minecraft mod. NEEEEEEEEEXT 5. Warfare Like you said, it would take a whole new game engine. Just make a whole another game at this point
All things you list have been added to gt6 already. Gt6 doesn't have a lot of chemistry chains, god damn, there are only few ways to process oil you get from underground. Different energy systems. Gt6 ads a lot of them and you need to use all of them, and as YOU said in your vide, it takes a lot to get to electricity in gt6. All steps are complex and have their place in the progression. What about different mechanics? 1 entire new mechanic of metallurgy and automatization 2 geology system which generate ores in different stone layers, so each stone has it's own ore to be generated in. And there are several types of oregen. The same about gen of oil, water, lava and natural gas. 3 changing behavior of different types of water, yeah, gt6 ads a lot of them 4 bumblebee system is also a new mechanic in gt6 and differs from forestry bee system. About more reasonable progression chain, if you don't want to play gt6, you can alway try impact. Now it has it's own quests, interesting mechanics and custom multiblocks. Also you can spot mentioned ages of progression in the quest book whicjlh 2ill lead you from primal age to space. And ther's no any dtpf or eyes of harmony or stupid recipes which Will take you several hours to execute in endgame. And important facts: there's no magic, there's no stupid causality like in gtceu pack. God damn I felt like I'm playing mekanism when I opened gt ceu pack after IIA. Almost forgot: your super cool a lot of steps supersymmetry chemistry chains of getting polyethylene where in gt6 already 4 years ago :)
I'd like to make it a bit like pneumaticraft, but with more Physical Quantities and complex physics formula that requires calculus to solve, for example, bernoulli law or maybe carnot cycle for engines and freezers. By doing that, we can connect it with opencomputer and make real research, not just throwing some GPU to a computer and plug it up with power for ages.
In general, i feel like gregtech lacks the visuals of other mods like pneumatic craft or create, and also the whole physics aspect. Create is very stricking bc a belt is a working belt, a press is visually pressing stuff, and a mixer is visually mixing stuff, instead of either blocks or cubes doing something. I like both create and gt but create engages more with the world than greg, and if create simulated is as good as it seems it might add a competent physics system with sub-worlds. There's stuff that greg has that's more in-depth and thats what i like about it but it lacks a ton of other stuff that sadly holds it back for many people. Chemstry is way more interesting in greg rather than the rudimentary system of create, but since is just following jei it gets tiring
tbh i think another issue is the amount of sci-fi cubes and the way multiblocks mostly (aside a few exceptions) dont have a true interface, would make more sense to have things like a big metal press in earlygame instead of the forge hammer/metal bender, and a lot of those would be better as actual multiblocks, would be a bit more realistic on the size aspect for the first tiers instead of treating most multiblocks as supermachines, making it more of a necessary inconvenience rather than a high cost high reward
I would imagine tanks to be easier to add than discovery or surprise, since documentation will always exist. You could possibly help facillitate experimentation, but I dont think it would pan out
can you make a top ten like rating of gregtech modpacks or modpacks that include gregtech i think it would cool to know what modpack you would recommed (i need a modpack but am to lazy to do my own reaserch)
they are kinda useless tbh, like at point you start making them with technological equipment they would only be useful as biopunk replacement, which at that stage is way behind accumulated might you possess, imo it would be rather useful to make specialized organisms like wetware, except using the result as a metabolic shortcut of some organic chain (rainworld reference)
to be honest i really wish there were more early game stuff i had the thought to add a big crafting table that is only specialized for making machines, machine parts and early game circuits and this crafting station will make you constantly think about GT:NH whenever it's used because the crafts in it take alot of durability also more early game multiblocks please!!! i think they're adorable!!!!! im not a coder or anything expert with minecraft modding but i wish the very 100% perfectly created GT modpack was there for me
i tried to make a addon that makes both terrafirmacraft and gregtech both compatible but i didn't have knowledge for java, time or the help. i just wanted a mod like this so i can play some thing a little harder. i know there is modpack like TerrafirmaGreg new horizon and honlestly i just wanted some thing were i can change it where i can play them by themselves on addion the mod "Gregicality Rocketry" and i hope they port it to 1.12.2
This may seem out of reasonability but hear me out. I think we must force bedrock edition modders to convert gregtech into bedrock 1.20+. Otherwise they will continue dumping thousands of hours coding realistic textures.
The goal of the game is to get the walrus wall
And not have the game crash.
Walrus parkour
Early game being harder and electricity taking more time to attain I like. Even steam age, it’s quite a jump from stone
i agree a lot with the new mechanics part.

if only we had realistic voltages and chemical reactions in create (ok well we have the destroy mod but that's more a library than a gameplay mod)
GT6 adds in a few structures I think. As I was traversing the wilds a few days ago I came upon a bunker in the middle of the ocean that had some useful resources and many books. It felt so mysterious especially given barely anyone plays GT6
Your changes sound like you should play terrafirma rescue with some RPG mod. By far more realistic Greg experience than new horizon.
no way manametal newhorizons

oh yeah, and def adding some extra intermidiate steps to reach electricity apart from steam as you said in the video
Realistc three phase ac for transmiting power and dc for powering machines giving us that delicious cable spaghetti

Looks like final goal of GregTech is to create Gregtech the game itself
I'd personally like to see a modpack that follows the history of science as faithfully as possible, but alas I dont think its gonna happen
Gregtech players bored of not having any modern weapons. Meanwhile HBM NTM players are automating Anti-Air rockets complete with giant radar arrays
Sadly mojang has banned guns and stuff like that

adding concentrations and pH levels to solutions could really make the chemistry alot better (and painful)

why is this a very good idea i love it
when somebody implements this i really wish i could code a minecraft GT addon like supersymmetry
THIS, i was so sad when i saw like none of the multiblocks have interfaces

how can i make panels that show memes in gtnh?
