I've been playing Gregtech since GT4, which is about 7 years. GT6 mod for MC is by far the best mod I've ever played. I play on the Bears Den server. and I can't say enough about the endless possibilities of gameplay. If you engage your brain, you will find that everything can be automated here. Simply beautiful, and thanks again gregourius. And also thank the Bears for testing this mod.
The automation in GT6 is much different than any mod I've played before since the sensors have several conditionals (equals to, less than, greater than, percentages, etc ) you can set so there's a lot of possibilities. Krallen_ is a UA-camr who's currently doing a playthrough of GT6, his videos are great. Wish there were more modpacks for GT6 though, TerraFirma Rescue is pretty cool but I feel like TerraFirma and GT6 are basically the same early game overhaul

As a person who has played gregtech for like 20 minutes, i dont understand any of this, and the chemical formulas and stuff make my brain overheat and explode, all i can say is that gregtech 6 looks very greggy
Im about 20 hours into a GT6 play through as I write this and I haven’t gotten to steam machines yet. But there’s a few things I’d like to add to your video. - There’s a system with food that punishes you for eating too much meat or fruit. If you eat too much meat in a short period of time you’ll get a heart attack and if you eat too much fruit you’ll get diabetes. Both of these are will start to lower your health bar until you die. This is completely non preventable once it starts. Both also kill you within 10 seconds of contracting them. - The beginning of the game isn’t like TFC but there are a lot of similarities such as the use of anvils. - The documentation for the late game is even worse than that of most big GT mod packs. Bear’s Den is the only one to have verifiably reached fusion in GT6 and he’s basically the only reliable source of info about it. If you want to play GT6 I’d recommend you join his discord. He also has the as of yet only GT6 mod pack with a quest book. -GT6 is compatible with most mainstream mods. Greg hasn’t had much contact with the community but he’ll still mess up all the big mods with his crafting recipes.
If You talking about TerraFirma Rescue, this mod pack use GT6U even more complicated than orginal GT6(oil processing, Plasma setup in Fusion reactors and much more machines), but little outdated. Don't be afraid when start to play this mod. After first shock, game give a lot of fun.
I actually am playing terrafirma rescue and am at the beginning, honestly the most fun I had in a gregtech modpack, it‘s hard but it‘s not boring at all, way more creative, alive and fun. It‘s pain in many aspects but it‘s really good and fun, fully fleshed out modpack I recommend it
why does anyone watch this crap? he uses my footage from 8 years ago back when the mod was new, gives false information like "greg doesnt talk to the community" he has his own forums, his own IRC channel, and talks to anyone that comes in with a question. he at times even comes into my streams and talks to myself and others. He also doesn't explain that the 1/72nds is the lowest common denominator from small and tiny dust and that there are barrels that can combine all of them from 1/72 to blocks of dusts into witch ever you want to store them as. Gregtech has always been about being believable inside Minecraft not Ultra Realistic. side note, he added magic, enderium and signalium circuits, but did you check if they had a use? obviously not since your playing my out of date pack from 4 years ago.
at least he gave the link to the official gt6 site and your channel, that is a plus already. also, please do note that he is more familiar with things like gtnh and nomifactory, which are very different from gt6 since they use gt5/gt5-based (gtce/gtceu) version of gregtech.

I wouldn't say that greg completely wants everything in his own mod, like say Create mod. He suggests other mods to play GT6 with, and has in-built integration for a lot of mods. even plays with packs himself. It's more so about making GregTech into a complete total conversion of minecraft to build and play mods from. Which is also what he is planning to do with his game. TL;DR : Unlike mods that literally want everything to be themselves, such as Create, Greg is very open to more mods being paired with GT and actively integrates other mods, unlike TFC.

What old school stuff? Vanilla farms work, but they are too slow. To progress you need to think on every step. Cheapest bucket - wooden. But needs any metal plate. You got metal? Get anvil and hammer. You can use vanilla stone as material for both of them. Will last 1 use. Need durability? Seek better metals. Oh! Totally new ore generation! No grid deposits. Do expeditions for thousands of blocks and check every stone on the way - ore variants of pebble show which block of ore lays under them (IF they got above ore blocks - guess yourself what really there). Available materials will lead your progression. Not your will. Some machines have equal stats, but could be made from different metals. Easy? No! Processing of this metals can literally kill you. Lead can be smelted using a little of tree bark as fuel. Gold will eat all fuel you got in no time and turn your crucible into a nuke. Middle game stuff - unlimited automated bedrock ore drills (in random ore chunks). End game is still not created fully. A lot of real fun.
PUV1 means Post-UV One. there are 4 unused tiers after this named similarly. will edit this comment as time goes on to leave knowledge about GT6. also if you're doing 1.7.10 mods, PLEASE cover ChromatiCraft by Reika Kalseki. best shaders out there. oh and HBM's Nuclear Tech Mod if you haven't covered it yet.
Honestly the only reason I didn't try gt6 yet is because all the textures look ugly af, I just can't play the pack that would look dogshit 80% of the time for at least couple hundred hours

Truth is, gt6 is just far to Gregic for us to handle. We thought to be Greggy was to be industrious, but we’ve truly lost the spirit of Greg.

I actually am playing terrafirma rescue and am at the beginning, honestly the most fun I had in a gregtech modpack, it‘s hard but it‘s not boring at all, way more creative, alive and fun. It‘s pain in many aspects but it‘s really good and fun, fully fleshed out modpack I recommend it
