I enjoyed your video very much. I wish you lived near me and did house visits. I'm 73 and have been in a hospital bed at home for over a year. It's impossible to get a doctor to do home visits and take the time to help with several different conditions. My main problem now is severe panic attacks. You seem so comforting. Hi, I use to have a terrible itch down there. I found that toilet paper always left small traces of paper. I decided to switch to flannel fabric. I bought second hand bed sheets, washed them a couple of times, ripped them up into 8"x8" pieces and I use these for #1 only. I keep a large cookie jar on the floor and insert the dirty pieces in it. Once the jar is full, I presoak for a couple of days and wash in the machine. I can't believe how much I save on toilet paper. My itch/infection never came back.

I can't believe they're still on the market. I've since started using plain organic cotton baby wash cloths in place of flushable wipes while saving money and avoiding potential health problems.
I have Lichen Simplex Chronicus of the labia majora due to Acanthosis Nigracans. It is extremely itchy, and there is no cure. But worse than that, NO ONE talks about it, nor specializes in it. It was too bad that it was not mentioned in this very informative 👍 video. 😊

I really needed all this information in my late teens & early 20’s. I constantly got yeast infections. I finally started wearing plain cotton underwear. Or no underwear at all. Drank more water. After experiencing burning in the vulva area several times, I came to the thought that perhaps it was the diet I was on. Sure enough, I found out that fresh spinach has oxalic acid in it and needs to be steamed for 5-8 minutes before you eat it! I've been doing that now and am eating more spinach and the vulvic burning is no longer happening! Several foods (e.g., sweet chard, kale) have this oxalic acid that needs to be removed in order to eat it. I'm appreciative to have made this discovery.

I'm still suffering and for many days i was researching about my symptoms and got to know that i have lichen sclerosis and told my mom the symtoms i have with all the guts i had cause if your an indian you would know that Indian mom's dont talk about that :( then she told even she has itching and the symtoms of lichen sclerosis so i told my mom you also have lichen sclerosis cause i read its also because of genetics ...then she told she had gone to 4 doctors but know one knewed what it was but one of the doctor gave tables which reduced itching so my mom said she will take me to that doctor and told me that some food reduced itching so she told me to eat some fruits and told me to reasearch what to eat for lichen sclerosis ...so still my mom did take me to a doctor:(

I only uses one brand of toilet paper, either I'm allergy to certain paper or because not soft enough that scratches my lips. When having cocktails , makes me urinated often, using paper tissue. I only use Antibiotics, but I needed them heal fast!☹️
During my last year of menopause I was experiencing vaginal burning. It made me crazy - it burned - it itched - I cried all the time. Around the 3rd time it happened, I went to the ER. Unfortunately, there were only male doctors on duty. Not one of them knew what the problem was nor the (young) nurses. An ER nurse had just come on duty suggested I visit her gynecologist upstairs the following day for menopause care. The gynecologist prescribed a "low dosage testosterone troche" - an absolute miracle!

Thank you for this video. I love how you deliver the content, makes me feel not so nervous. I've had the itch for 7yrs now and have seen a couple dr.'s and hopefully in the next couple months going to dermatologist for 2nd time. Would you suggest a gynocologist or dermatologist for vulva itch? The regular treatment doesn't seem to work for more than 2hrs and I'm hoping there is something stronger can be prescribed. I am trying alternatives such as emu oil and castor oils. The little orange pills for night seem to do nothing, not even help with sleep, not really sure what they are for. Itch over the last 7yrs is insane, scratching til blood appears and sometimes it doesn't matter how much you know it is gonna hurt afterwards it just feels so good at time. I really have to stop scratching, I scratch through my underwear and put holes in them on that one side that has the itch it's that bad. Nights can be bad as I don't fall asleep right away and without your mind as busy as it is while at work you notice it more I guess.
I have this same problem. For over 7 years. I noticed it after I had my prolapse bladder surgery I started with this itch. Never had it before. Does it have a name for this condition? Do you know?

This was a very interesting and entertaining video. I have suffered from lichen sclerosus for a number of years. I keep it in check with Terrasil anti-bacteria/ skin repair cream.
I worked as a health technician for a dermatologist. He would tell the patients with an itchy rash (which they had obviously scratched a lot), "one scratch is too much and a thousand is not enough". I thought how true! There's a bit of torture to intense itching.
My mother had psoriasis so bad. She had a heart attack open-heart surgery and then when she was in ICU afterwords, they noticed the psoriasis around her lower area and the top of her thighs. It was so bad they did not know what it was, and had to call in wound care until they asked us, and we told them it was psoriasis it was horrible.

I have lichen sclerosus. I’m 64 and got diagnosed a few years ago. How often do you suggest your patients get rechecked? Right now I go once a year to the gynecologist, but thinking about that it can cause cancer makes me wonder if I should be going more often than that. Your video is quite entertaining and there’s not a lot of information out there about this lichen sclerosus issue. 😢😮 I actually read and knew that you could have a higher chance of getting cancer, but I haven’t really thought about it until now watching your video. I'm still suffering and for many days i was researching about my symptoms and got to know that i have lichen sclerosis and told my mom the symtoms i have with all the guts i had cause if your an indian you would know that Indian mom's dont talk about that :( then she told even she has itching and the symtoms of lichen sclerosis so i told my mom you also have lichen sclerosis cause i read its also because of genetics ...then she told she had gone to 4 doctors but know one knewed what it was but one of the doctor gave tables which reduced itching so my mom said she will take me to that doctor and told me that some food reduced itching so she told me to eat some fruits and told me to reasearch what to eat for lichen sclerosis ...so still my mom did take me to a doctor:(

My twin and I complained about itching as teens and it was concluded that we were using shampoo to wash our pubic hair. Summer Ease has a cleanser that is PH balanced...I think. I have urine retention and have to wear Poise Panties. I also used t under my belly flap. It helps really well.

Just got diagnosed with Lichen sclerosus. The steroid cream I've been prescribed has been a life-changing experience, the first day I kept wanting to cry cause it didn't itch or burn for the first time in well over a year

Thank you, I'll check this out! When I urinated a lots, using toilet papers, scratches me easily, then itchy, next stinging, drive me crazy!
I only uses one brand of toilet paper, either I'm allergy to certain paper or because not soft enough that scratches my lips.
When having cocktails , makes me urinated often, using paper tissue.
I only use Antibiotics, but I needed them heal fast!☹️

During my last year of menopause I was experiencing vaginal burning. It made me crazy - it burned - it itched - I cried all the time. Around the 3rd time it happened, I went to the ER. Unfortunately, there were only male doctors on duty. Not one of them knew what the problem was nor the (young) nurses. An ER nurse had just come on duty suggested I visit her gynecologist upstairs the following day for menopause care. The gynecologist prescribed a "low dosage testosterone troche" - an absolute miracle!

Great video and explanations. I really struggle with the itch cycle 😖 I've had chronic itching on and off for years and I'm really fed up now so I'll be looking into the things you have mentioned. Thank you for this video. I love how you deliver the content, makes me feel not so nervous. I've had the itch for 7yrs now and have seen a couple dr.'s and hopefully in the next couple months going to dermatologist for 2nd time. Would you suggest a gynocologist or dermatologist for vulva itch? The regular treatment doesn't seem to work for more than 2hrs and I'm hoping there is something stronger can be prescribed. I am trying alternatives such as emu oil and castor oils. The little orange pills for night seem to do nothing, not even help with sleep, not really sure what they are for. Itch over the last 7yrs is insane, scratching til blood appears and sometimes it doesn't matter how much you know it is gonna hurt afterwards it just feels so good at time. I really have to stop scratching, I scratch through my underwear and put holes in them on that one side that has the itch it's that bad. Nights can be bad as I don't fall asleep right away and without your mind as busy as it is while at work you notice it more I guess.
I have this same problem. For over 7 years. I noticed it after I had my prolapse bladder surgery I started with this itch. Never had it before. Does it have a name for this condition? Do you know?

I worked as a health technician for a dermatologist. He would tell the patients with an itchy rash (which they had obviously scratched a lot), "one scratch is too much and a thousand is not enough". I thought how true! There's a bit of torture to intense itching.

My mother had psoriasis so bad. She had a heart attack open-heart surgery and then when she was in ICU afterwords, they noticed the psoriasis around her lower area and the top of her thighs. It was so bad they did not know what it was, and had to call in wound care until they asked us, and we told them it was psoriasis it was horrible.

I have lichen sclerosus. I’m 64 and got diagnosed a few years ago. How often do you suggest your patients get rechecked? Right now I go once a year to the gynecologist, but thinking about that it can cause cancer makes me wonder if I should be going more often than that.
