    I have an inexpensive micrometer stand. Cost about $20. Useful when you are measuring some item that you need 3 hands for.

    I have some cheap plastic calipers to measure magnets for 3D prints.

    I just use my calipers and a unlevel table Great success! *in Borat voice* lol

    Don't use blue tack it moves. Use clay instead.
