I am a side sleeper and bought a Saatva Classic. It was awful and sagged within a month. I started sleeping on the other side... same thing. Its going back in a few days. I can also feel the coils if I press on the bed. I got the firm.

I personally have the Layla Hybrid. I'm a big fan. I have back issues and I feel good support and pressure relief. I'm a fan of the soft side memory foam hug feeling. But I love the option when my back flairs up I can easily flip to firm side which still soft enough but a little more support. I love the quality and I'd say it's temperature neutral I naturally sleep hot, this isnt cooling to the touch, but good airflow so with a good temperature room should be well regulated and comfortable.

I’ve gone to multiple mattress stores. I’ve tried out many but from this list the only ones available at the stores are the purple plus and the purple hybrid 3 and those are great. The saatva looks great and luxurious. I like the Layla flippable option incase I decide to sleep on my teen’s bed when she goes to sleepovers. I’d flip it to the soft side. Lol.

I’m strictly a side sleeper and have been having problems with my shoulder and hips on my current mattress. Due to being on a fixed income I can’t really afford a good mattress. I felt the Helix might be good for me. I took the quiz and it suggested the Midnight Lux. It would be a blessing to be able to win a free mattress. I was a RN for 31 years and had to take early retirement due to my disability. I’m about to have my 5th total knee replacement surgery on February 22nd. Yep, my 5th. Just had my 3rd on my right knee October 26th, and it will be my second on my left knee. Thanks for the reviews on all the mattresses. Anyone of them would be better than what I have as I’m miserable.

I’m a side sleeper and currently have a TemperPedic all foam in medium. I am having a lot of trouble with it being too firm. Shoulders and just numbness in my body from being to firm. It’s less than a year old so it’s a lot to buy another mattress that quick after spending 2,000 on this one.

    Question for viewers:
    I am a combination sleeper.
After researching mattresses for over a year, I like Puffy and Dreamcloud. I’ve had a few shoulder surgeries. My doctor
Recommends Puffy or Dreamcloud. The Doc likes both beds as they’re both a good choice for shoulder and hip pain relief. Thank you for all the work and time you put into your videos.
Take care and have a great day…

    • @The_GreenMachine

I ended up buying a dreamcloud premiere hybrid and I hate it. It's extremely firm and hurts to sleep on my side! It's been 3 months now and the middle still has a dip in it like it never fully expanded so I keep end up rolling into the middle even when I sleep on either side.. Ended up getting a 3" gel foam topper for it and now it's perfect in terms of softness, but man it's so hard to find a mattress with this same soft/firm feel to it. Everyone has different ratings that don't align across brands, a medium in one brand may be soft in another.. The nectar premiere I tried out in a store and it felt extremely plush but in this review they rate it a medium!!

The LAYLA HYBRID Mattress looks best for me as I am a side sleeper, I also have had back surgery on my L5- S1 lower back and have been sleeping on a recliner chair for the past 4 years since injuring my back, as I feel more comfortable in a "L" sorta shape.
    I'm

Did you ever get that mattress? I havent had back surgery but pretty much anything that can go wrong with my back has gone wrong...I also I have hip dysplasia in both hips AND I tore my rotator cuff and have a partial biceps tear. Im not a surgery candidate because of being on blood thinners...so like you, I am a recliner sleeper and its about to give out. I want an adjustable platform because I know my husband would not like the recliner feel but he agrees a adjustable is the way to go but not sure what mattress will work with these mattresses.

HELP. HELP. HELP. - No idea what I should get and it’s driving me crazy. Research overload. 6’2”. 280 lbs. Double hernia lower back. Arthritis. Sciatica. Lately I can mostly only sleep on side. Other times only on back. Any dip on lower back to on back can trigger hernias. Too firm on the other hand sleeping on side can trigger lasting pain in shoulder or knees. Usually have bought memory form or latex including Temperpedic. HATE traditional mattresses. Have never tried hybrid. It needs to work for both back and side given my height, weight, and medical issues.

Oh absolutely. You can’t go by reviews, and the reviewers are NOT unbiased. They get a kickback from the mattress companies for reviewing these.
You really need to take the time to go to a store and lay on them for a good half hour EACH. I’ve had purple, puffy, tempurpedic, and also a BeautyRest Black. I don’t like foam mattresses at all but the Puffy Lux is the one which kept its shape the longest of all the foam ones.
I only keep my mattresses for around 5 years, so I don’t buy the most expensive; I haggle on the price (mattress stores will do this; don’t listen if they say they won’t), and honestly the best mattresses I’ve gotten came from Costco.
