@@anthonyrystad Sorry for the late reply! I still have in the same place no issues. I have had the 3M tape holding the action cam mount for 7-8 months and it is still holding on
so much thought was put into this, thank you for sharing! Did you use the rear facing camera or the cabin facing camera? There seems to be 2 options, a wider, verses a telephoto. You mentioned that rear with cable is 140, and rear module only is 30. Does this mean the one you have is the 30 degree one, since you are using the rear module?
I knew there was something I forgot! Sorry for the late reply! as a "base" I am using this store.dji.com/ch/product/osmo-action-mounting-kit then I have attached one of the armst and "plates" from a similar kit like this to the DJI base. Might require some modification amzn.to/3IVwNBF
Who is at fault due to a brake check causing an accident can vary by state. In most states both drivers will be at fault. The rear driver for following too closely, and the front driver for reckless driving or endangerment.
@@Themazcorner yeah. I've had an awful time trying to find something that works like yours. I've bought a 622gw, and I want to mount it in my mx5 just like you have it, coz the view of the cabin and the road is wicked, and im going japfest silverstone soon so i wanna be ready for that! But after calling nextbase, they dont do anything that mounts to surface, and ive bought a pack of various dash cam mounts and non of them work with the 622gw :( If you could be so kind, could you provide me with the details of the mount you are using? Would be a huuuuge help

Yeah you can see it! I can revert back when I am back at home. But you can see the speedo on the video itself, or you want to use it as "action" cam as well?
this is very clear. thank you. I understand you don't worry about the parking and use the car for spins but what camera do you recommend for parking etc? You mentioned it but I can't find it. Also do you still recommend this location as opposed to the front facing? If it is parked some one might be inclined to see and steel the camera via smashing the window
I would go for a system from Blackvue or thinkware if the parking mode is important. With regards to the camera placement I think it works well as such but the rear camera has a narrow field of view (the module that connect directly to the camera) I will try the wired rear facing camera as well to see if it give a better FoV
I am using the provided mount and have attached that to an action cam clip(with the adhesive side attached to the clip) which I got in one of those kits with like 100 pieces for action cameras(I believe I have what type in the video), that clip is in turn attached to one of these: m.dji.com/ch/product/osmo-action-adhesive-mount-kit
Been reading lots of user reviews on the 522 and 622 models and lots of them complain about the dashcam freezes all the time. Does it happen to yours? Do you use nextbase overpriced SD card?
I am not using nextbases SD-card however I have very seldom checked the footage. I have to get back on that. You mean the camera freezes up or it skips recording ?
I have some example footage here: vimeo.com/619888279 The rear camera records in 720p when running in 1440p on the front camera (in the examples in the link), clips are roof open, roof closed and roof closed during the night
yeah most dashcams are bad on getting the plates! During daytime it works pretty well, on my Blackvue the quality is quite a bit better but still agreed!
I didn't expect it but the video from that placement turned out quite good!
Yeah I did give what I wanted in term of visibility.
I have some more example footage here: vimeo.com/619888279
@@Themazcorner Have you kept the dash cam position? I like it, but am concerned long term it's going to go flying! Thanks for the great footage.

Will get back to you tomorrow

Great and simple install , I will be doing this - what does the rear camera view look like with the hood up?
Yeah it turned out great!

Let me know if you are wondering about anything else
great thanks! how was the camera? do you still recommend it?? thank you
the camera as such does it's job, but compared to my Blackvue I think there is no competition. I would maybe go for the 622 and a wired rear camera

In Sweden if it cannot be proven that the driver in front caused the accident the fault is per default on the driver behind :(
Been looking for a similar mount that you have for the dashcam and I can't find one at all. What is the make of yours? Where did you buy it?

can you post link for BlackVue dash cam?
Is the forward facing camera able to pick up the instrument cluster. Mainly speedo and tach?

No it it will not if it is 3M tape used for the purpose
