This is the on 1990 to 1999 GMC and Chevrolet 1500s
Truck will Jump hard on Reverse and Jerks hard on Drive
95 GMC Jerks & Jumps on 2nd & 3rd gear
GMC truck have a Delay switching gear
So now (change the throttle position
sensor on 95 GMC C1500) (TPS)
I'm using the
New Yall Throttle position sensor TPS
To fix this issue on 1995 GMC truck

Hey man I just wanted to let you know how thankful of you and the time you took to make this video. Long story short my life is on one of those downward spirals that happens to us all. Seems like all 99 problems happens at once. My truck started to act super bad shifting and I thought for sure my transmission was going out. I was so worried and devastated with no hope for help. Real talk my soul was broken. I came across this video and figured I may as well give this a try. It worked!!!! Brother I can get to work a few more times now. Some of us fight and work so hard just for a little to nothing. That rusty truck is and will keep me going. Doesn’t have to be pretty just has to get me there. Much love from Indiana!

My 1995 GMC Sierra was holding gear till around 2500 rpm and then shifting hard . I replaced the TPS yesterday and it fixed it instantly . Couldn't be happier ! Thanks Ish Motorparts !

Just got. 96gmc sierra k15oo 5.7v8 350 auto trans this is exactly what is happening to my truck no doubt I’ll be replacing that part I thought it was an Iac valve replaced same problem now the tps sensor awesome video
Hey Bro, thanks for watching, after I changed mine out it lasted Little over a year it came back I tried to change that sensor again but it didn't work but when get Time to find or fix the problem on mine I'll try make a Video of it, or I can call you and talk about it

Just wanted to let people know. I have owned my 1995 GMC since 1995. Mine also did the same thing idle high harsh shifting. Tried changing the tps sensor helped for a week then came back. Turns out the wire plug going to it was wore out. Changed the pigtail and it never came back. Hope this helps someone.
I may try that because mine is intermediate. It'll change smooth from 1st to 2nd and then other times it'll shift hard again.

I have a 1994 was running great one day to another added a sound system and it’s like not making the gear shifts but then if I let it cool down out of no where it dose them

If you talking about the one noise at the end of the video, it was the A/C and Heater Blend Door Actuator got stuck

Hello I’m having a similar problem on my 95 Silverado, the check engine light comes on and turns off sometimes ….and when check engine light comes up on the dash …. The engine will rev up high on the rpms and not switch gears from 1 to second gear and will switch later on and jump hard to 2nd. What weird that the light turns off after a day later drive completely fine. Also the transmission jumps when switching from reverse to drive.Do you think it’s the same problem? Please help
Very interesting question, yes thats the exact problem I had, this method worked but only lasted for over year and half it como back on, i tried to change this again didn't work, I'll post another video later when I figure it out

You may have warn transmission mount or worn ujoints on your driveshaft. Most likely transmission mount though. Its an easy and cheap fix.
I have a similar issue, but now it wont move on drive unless i rev real hard on the engine then itll kick in. Is there a vacume hose i have a k1500 1990?
I have a 95 chevy z71 my problem is it feels like it is stuck on a 3rd or 4th gear. At a stop sign or red light I will take off but it doesn’t change gears I feel nothing and when I get on freeway it only goes around 50 mph and nothing more but rpm’s are high. This should help to change all gears I hope. I need to try this.
Try changing out the ignition switch cable. The one that goes from your key switch to the bottom of your dash
i'm having the same issue but my truck is stuck in first gear , i have 1997 gmc sierra and it started jumping and now won't go out of first gear. will go thru R N D fine no jerking but when in drive i hear like metal clinging around . no engine light either.

I bought 94 silverado, The car has been lying dormant for eight years , when I started to test drive, It shifts gears 1 and 2 very smoothly, but for gears 3 and 4, I have to press the gas pedal several times to change gears, When I looked at the transmission fluid it is full of bubbles, I will change the fluid tomorrow, Do you think the problem is with the transmission or other parts?
I don't think it's Transmission it self, it could be the ATF solenoid just make sure clean or replace that before you put the transmission back together
I gonna try fix tomorrow I will know the outcome

Hmmm my 95 Chevy Cheyenne does the same thing, only in 2nd gear though the other gears shift smooth / Changed out the sensor no change.

Try to clean the throttle body and see your air filter its clean if nothing happens to the hard work replace the transmission fluid filter and silinoid valve in side the transmission after that if nothing happens then you need a new transmission or rebuild , sorry for not helping.
My 92 GMC Sierra doesn't want to shift out of 1st even when I give it a little more gas. I'm wondering if a trans flush would get what ever is lodged in in the shift pressure solenoid
That's sounds like my, see my it do that but when i given more gas it will jump in to 2nd and 3rd
If the fluid is low it will not want to move or not move at all.

You can try this method but its sounds like it your transmission silinoid but and again don't my word for it and thank you for your comment
i have the same problem when I shift into drive it jerks and when I drive it takes a long time to shift but it shifts right of way when i left off the gas for a quick second, it also shifts fine when I shift it manually. they keep telling me its the throttle position sensor or the speed sensor what you think?
That have to be the throttle position sensor,

Well in this video as you can see that part I changed out that the Throttle Position densor) that should be your problem or just clean the entire Throttle body first
@@IshMotorparts I pulled off the throttle body and had it clean already my only thing I haven’t checked is the wiring
My truck is a 93 with the 4l60 it doesn’t shift out of first in drive but if i drop the gear to first and shift it manually to second it will grab second and if i shift it to drive manually again it will just lose the gear. Also my speedometer don’t work any ideas?

If it works manually, gave to be a Sensor could be a TP, VS, or WS, Sensor, in your case make sure you check or change that (Vehicle speed sensor, ) first and then move the next step if the problem not fixed yet

My it come back on about six months ago and it doing exactly as before and I pull the code 22 and for my understanding the 22 code stands for Throttle position sensor error/ low signal, hope that helps thanks for watching

By changing the AT fluid and filter it could be the first I would do before spending more time and money on it,
But again could be something very cheap and easy sometimes some of those things it's ABS, vehicles speed sensors, engine temperature sensor, and more more more, those could paralyze the transmission to activate or respond ,

I have a 97 suburban and it will only shift when I come off the gas. It does it with every gear any suggestions

Try hard reset on the computer and drive around for a few minutes. Worth a shot

@@IshMotorparts I change that part it was a little to late for me but it probably needed it. Also I think it has coused my torque converter to go out I am going to try to change it next.

What if you only have P and N but no other gears. I can feel it engage and my idle changes but I dont move. Driveshaft is fine.
Have you checked your trans fluid?
Transmission is gone. Getting a full rebuild done. Fluid was black.
Mine is we’re when I put it on low or high it feels like one wheel is jerking to one side idk
I'm not sure, but yours sounds like ABS sensor, or axle problem

That kind of issue most of the time
It's a Safety matter that means it could be the brake sensor, parking position sensor/Switch, Hope that helps
When you order it does it matter what year your truck is

My truck 1995 silverado 1500 z71 5.7 turn on normal, but after 5 minutes or so does, start fine and everything but does again, also I have to shift from park to 2 to drive it, when reach 15 mph shift to drive and all good but need to press gas on every stop, or it'll die again, can anybody help me please!!

To me it sounds like the Fuel filter needs to be cleaned or replace it and also check any rubber fuel line make sure nothing bend or twisted

Check your Transfer case Speed sensor
Make sure there's no broken wires if its looks good then take it out and test it you should see signal when by moving the little gear around start with that before you move on to something else big, hope that helps
Try switching out your ignition switch wire. Goes from the key switch to the bottom of your steering wheel. 100$ and it’ll bring back your rpm’s and speedometer
Anyone can help me out with info regarding my 1995 I accelerate and idles alot so I have to take my foot off the accelerater for like 3 seconds then put my foot on it again and then drives and does the changes like it's suppose to any ideas?
Check your throttle control valve or sensor, hope your timing chain didn't jump, hope that helps, let us know if you fix it that will help other viewers 😉
