After six months of trying to get one under $40k I gave up. Why are you even bothering with advertising when it is impossible to get one, is beyond me.
I can also personally attest that the demand for all new generation priuses far exceeds supply. I sure hope Toyota is building them as fast as possible, but the $$$ markups are disheartening.
Nice car. However, one has to deal with abusive Toyota dealers and even then cannot get this for list price. Buying experience from Toyota dealers leaves a lot to be desired.
Not many cars reaching US shores, not sure if it's because of parts supply issues, OR Toyota trying to deliberately control supply and allow dealers to jack up the price. Anyhow, in LA the pre 2023 Priuses haven't held up their "looks" (paint loses luster, dings and paint rashes . . . size of car and perhaps visibility hard to maneuver and avoid the occasional bump), and it's known as an "Uber" car. With this, not sure how well the new Prius will hold up with time.
Great car but almost never available anywhere near me unless I pay a ridiculous amount over MSRP. I'll probably get a Tesla for the "no nonsense" purchase process.
Hello Toyota, I hope that at some point soon you will be able to eliminate dealers from the purchasing process of your vehicles. Not only new ones but also used ones. In Puerto Rico there are very few regulations on the profits that dealers make, therefore the cost ends up being unaffordable for some of us. Although it was not at a Toyota dealer, I recently bought a used Lexus and they sold it to me with a damaged transmission... I am in the litigation process to see if I can recover what I have spent so far. (So you have an idea of how dealers are managed in Puerto Rico). Thank you for making the best quality cars on the planet.
Thank you for the presentation. I would go for the option of solar panels which has been estimated to get 3-4 miles per day (not much, but that is 1000 FREE miles per year). This adds up if you do not drive much or do no drive every day. The solar panel will generate electricity when I'm sitting in traffic (at least I get something when stuck in a commute).
I got the SE 2023 model. A couple days ago, I drove for 46.8 miles with AC on before the car switched to the hybrid (gas engine). I forgot to use the ECO mode, and I had to check relatives going to the country side (some up the hill involved). If there is enough charge, the care will start in the EV/EV mode. The look is awesome and sporty. This car has a good response from the electric motor on the highway (220 hp electric motor). I did not buy the car because of the "looks," but because of the PHEV battery system. I will be able to charge it with solar panels in order to check on family members in case of "major events." The closest charge station is about 20+ miles from my place which make it unpractical. I will have 40 miles to check on family and only a few ounces of gas to finish the trip back home. There was a Category 4 hurricane where I live and later an earthquake, and this place looked like a post-apocalypse's no man's land. Gas stations were unsafe, and lines had more than 100 cars waiting for gas to arrive (hard to believe isn't). Do your research, and do not listen to me or the "car salesman." Money is hard to come by these days, but for me, this car was the right choice.
I don't have nearly the extreme circumstances you face, but my line of thinking is the same. There is no situation where your car completely runs out fuel.
It’s the same car. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 24 cars are actually the 23 inventory that never made it here. So by the summer of 24 we will finally get the 23 cars.

With the recall, these are impossible to find. I like my 2017 Prius, but I wanted to get the new Prime with that horsepower. 😢 Please bring back the Prius and Prius Prime in 2025.
Was interested when I heard about it but … I bought my gen3 with 30k miles on it for $12,500 years ago and its still going strong getting over 50mpg .. sure its down on power compared to newer models but it gets around juuuuust fine and I do all my own maintenance and repair work so for me with the markup on these new cars, it makes zero sense financially. I’ll probably run mine into the ground and buy another used vehicle down the road.
Toyota really should have gotten rid of the Prius name with this update, at least in the US and unfortunately admit the extreme right has successfully tied the name to weakness, faggy, wimpy, tree hugger, etc. They would sell way more cars to a wider variety of people. Intelligent people wouldn't care about the name change, people that cared about the name change would buy it anyway because they are rational and irrational people that live in their own media bubbles watching coal rolling videos and loving it would consider buying it because to them it would be a new not saving the planet, but saving their wallet type of car. I've told many right wing people about this car and their answers are essentially the same. "I love it, unfortunately it's called a Prius and would never buy one." "Great car, too bad it's called a Prius." "That's a really nice car, but I'd never be caught in a Prius." If it was renamed, people that shallow would have no idea it's a Prius under the covers and buy it for its merits. Call it a Toyota Freedom or something like that. Give it a big giant useless gas tank too so you could advertise 1000+ mile range. Another thing people think they need.
Many dealers in Wisconsin have a mark up of at least 7-8k Almost all dealers in Green bay,Milwaukee, Madison are rude to their customers. Shame on them and i wish someone writes up in mainstream media about the mark up

That should be a feature you can use anytime after you purchase the vehicle, it should come standard with the vehicle or as an option that you pay for upfront like a package or something. This whole subscription thing is so stupid.

Intrest rates are stupid too. You'll be making a huge mistake buying at these prices. You should be preparing yourselves for the HUGE crash that is about to hit. Don't say nobody warned you.

Had my 2005 Prius for 17 years. Best car ever. 300,000 miles Unfortunately it was the car that was targeted for their converters had to replace mine twice because of thieves. Love the car waiting for a new Prius, but I am told without a Camry trade-in probably not even in the running I mean what kind of world is this now this is just ridiculous.
Prime has a battery capable of give you lot of electric miles, pretty much if you do local errands in town you don’t have to buy gas, I’ve seen people buying gas twice a year.
I'm 6'4 so I understand this vehicle wouldn't be a good choice for myself and I prefer something like the RAV4 PRIME but I understand that the toyota venza might be available soon on phev greetings from oakville Ontario thanks for the presentation
Spend less on marketing and more on production. I offered dealers thousands over their asking prices (already thousands over MSRP) so that I could buy a Prius and a Camry as gifts for family members. I placed deposits in 2022 that still aren't filled as we come to 2024. Make more cars!
