- Former CNN host Don Lemon is now a former X host even before his first show dropped. X canceled its partnership with Lemon following his interview with X owner Elon Musk in what was supposed to be the first episode of "The Don Lemon Show," which Lemon had called a commitment by X to work directly with "new and diverse voices."

I’m sorry I hate to say bad things about people but Lemon is creepy.
As the host - you can be unnecessarily harsh when interviewing people and the person being interviewed can choose to end the interview, etc.
When that person is also paying you - they can also choose to end the relationship. Which is what happened here.
You can upset people above you at any job - sometime there is consequences to that.
If someone asks you a personal question - choosing not to answer isn’t a free speech issue.

According to Musk, the Lemon wanted a guaranteed amount of money from X for the show, regardless of how many people watch, or don't watch. Musk said no to that, but that Lemon is free to monetize his content on X, just like every other content creator.

That said, Lemon's argument about Musk not upholding freedom of speech is totally flawed. If Elon kicked Lemon off the platform, censored the interview, or prohibited the posting of the interview then yes, it would be hypocritical. But all Elon did was decide not to pay Lemon extra money compared to other content creators on X.
Freedom of speech does not mean being forced to endorse or compensate speech.
Elon was gracious enough to help little Donny and even gave him an interview thinking it would be a casual talk. Leemon acted like he just scored an interview with Hitler.
