I have to let you in on the joke between my friend Sue and I…she has a serious Hobby Lobby 0:02 addiction so I have officially dubbed it the “Mothership” and now I am lumping you into the group.
There is a difference between being controlling, and respecting the relationship by letting your loved one/s know where you are planning to go and be.
I let my hubby know where I'm going bc it's the safe thing to do. If anything were to happen, he has some clue where I've been that day! ❤

It’s crazy how just communicating with your spouse makes others think the spouse is controlling. My husband and I both tell each other where we plan to go, and what we spent. We probably don’t need to because we both have access to the accounts and we can easily see what was spent. But we still try to stay on the same page and communicate.

Most of these modern day females can't even cohabitate with a man let alone be an actual wife. They have no idea what a loving, functional marriage looks like. Their opinions don't matter. Period.

My husband and I do this same thing. I get home from home goods or the antique store and he goes, “what did you buy?” And I say, “nothing,” with a faux guilty face. It’s like flirting. He loves that he has made it possible for me to go out and get things to add to our home together.
I agree with another commenter, that my skin is not tough enough to put myself out on the internet. But boy am I so happy that yours is! I adore your content and have been following along for 6-7 years but really became a huge fan during the 2020 shenanigans. Your content is like a warm drink on a fall day. I see nothing but love, compassion, boundaries, growth and far beyond exceptionally beautiful souls. I've been gone from UA-cam a while so I have a lot of catching up to do. Somebody will always make it what it isnt.
My husband is similar, he's so NOT controlling sometimes I wish he'd save me from myself! I often speak like you do saying things like "I'm going to check with my husband before I do that or buy that" not because I think he'll say no or be upset if I barrel ahead but out of respect and wanting his input. I desire his wisdom and point of view in these things. We complement each other.
Why don’t people just sit back and enjoy your show and have a good time. Learn something about cooking, pantry, etc. just whatever and leave the other stuff alone. People are all different. I love your program and I love seeing your husband interact with you. Keep up the good work.

Some deal with it better than others. That’s why we help each other on UA-cam community. What you post is what works for your family. What you post doesn’t work for everyone, it’s an idea of what can help others. I love your content.
I really appreciate you addressing a comment with compassion and honesty. I think it is so easy for people for people to make assumptions based on what they see without knowing the whole story, I do personally think those things should be kept to themselves, but this is the internet and some just cannot.

People are beyond ridiculous anymore!!! Ive been married 36+ years, my husband is absolutely amazing! I can count on 1 hand how many times hes told me "No". Once was about goats. I RESPECT HIM!! Hes not "controlling" me!!! Hes said yes so many times to things he dodnt want but knew it would make me happy, I can RESPECT that he feels strongly about acouple things! Ladies! If you have a good, hard working, loving relationship, remember your man has feelings too!

At the time, she already had like 20 different reptiles, Guinea pigs, an iguana, fishes, 8 dogs!! What does she do? She gets not 1 but 3 snakes! Then she sits back & cries, when hes had enough! (Shaking head). Edit* 2 HUGE rabbits! All inside

If I ever get to go to Utah I’d love to meet you and the Mr.Toodles❤️ kimmie you bring so much knowledge about stocking your shelves and shopping from that stock up. I had your planner 1 year but it was just too much for me. (I’m 70 retired, single and only 1 grand child left to help take care of) I know you can’t make “custom” planners and that’s okay. I just didn’t need all the extra “days or weeks” but loved the “inventory list, the holiday prep list, and the paper that my ink pens glided over! (I’m a pen freak). Thank you for all you do! Well Thank you for being willing to share. I wish I was closer. Wish I could have done the same thing. My husband and I have experienced a ton of loose in our marriage. Kids being one of those, I went through a very bad sickness at age 27, didn’t get married till 36. A very painful devised hard and not safe family, and death on my side of the family. But yet God has blessed us with a commitment that will fight through the hardness and tremendous pains you can go through. I am 60 now and will get to retire next year. Looking forward to it. I appreciate all the hard work you do and look forward to your videos❤

Honestly you are one of the few UA-camrs that I still relate to. All the other ones I use to follow now have huge homes, lavish parties and extravagant vacations. They are so out of touch with reality. I appreciate watching someone who is budget conscious, especially in this economy. ❤

Love you friend! In our house, I make sure my husband knows where I’m going if nothing else so he just knows where I am 😅. And it’s so true, the assumptions about UA-camrs is willllld. We can’t put every single possible thought, action, or discussion we have out there in our videos, so it’s just a snapshot. Yet it appears to the outside as the only part of our life because it’s the only visible part.

Also, I remember a while back you toasted 2 pieces of bread in the same slot. I was so intrigued so I tried it. I will never have toast any other way. I am not a huge bread fan unless it's fresh out of the oven! I bake my bread using homemade butter and homemade buttermilk. So amazing!

I LOVE to watch you clips or what ever they are called. I love to watch you shop and cook. I am a grandma in Idaho and I live on a ranch. I have always been interested in shopping and saving money. I think you are always positive, and if people don't take it that way it is because they are looking for something to complain about or feeling sorry for them selves. Keep up the good work. I also shop my shelves. I have to because I am 5 miles from a grocery store and 120 from a Sams, Cosco or Walmart. I have to be more organized because I just can't run to the store for something. Keep up the good job.

Mostly we all have someone in our lives that helps us through thick and thin. And I am so glad that Mr. Tootles does vids with you at times. You have a system that works for you. This is a great example of how people see 10-15 seconds and can make quick assumptions that are off base from actual reality. :) People have a misconception about how much money you make just by doing UA-cam, but it is actually all of the OTHER things we do in the outside sphere that bring in the actual higher revenue. UA-cam is a marketing tool and honestly a lot of times just focusing on blogs, email lists or other platforms can be a lot less stressful. Great video! We are living in a unique time where a lot of us that started when it was still brand new, that we have to keep pivoting as things in the whole landscape of the platforms evolved. 4:48 is it! Whatever is on YT should be fun!

Kimmie I have been watch you for so long that I personally know that you are a completely normal mom and wife. And Yes I tell my husband where I am going and ususally the order of stops so god forbid something should ever happen to me or if I a Not home at a certain time he doesn't worry. I am not asking permission just another kind of should I buy it or not. and again Respect. As for how much money you make and who is the major breadwinner is no one's business. You both work for your family financially emotionally educationally and spiritually that's what all couples and parent aim for. That's a successful team and partnership. Some of us women don't work for money but we work for the family finances by cooking from scratch buying deals etc it's all about being a team

Saying people that you live with where are you going and when you plan to come back is good manners and respect. Imagine, you cook dinner for family and no one shows up without notifying you? It is not controlling or being the boss of the hause. When we live in the same hause, we need to interact with respect.
I am married for 10 years and tell everything to my husband. He does the same. We have a child who we are raising to be open and honest.
I am at the 2:08 minutes into the video and my blood pressure goes up, so I must say it - I never never ever had the impression that your husband is controlling you, or trying to control you. In so many years of watching, never. Contrary, I was asking myself how is possible to not be annoyed once for the camera and your yt things. And always smiling and supportive. Is a feeling that he cannot pretend what he is not, so I have no doubt that you are absolutely genuine in every way. And about who brings the money - is not our darn business. I can understand curiosity, and for this are the q&a videos. We see 20 minutes from one day of your life, and all we can do is to assume...? Is the audacity.. .Just ask, don't assume or judge.

My husband doesn't control my spending, which I'm now and have been a homemaker/housewife since 2020 during covid on. I have been wanting to post videos. I have started recording on things I have done, but I just don't know if anyone would watch or if they are good enough or they need edit help. Don't know where to go to learn how to edit. But I want to bring money into our household someway. Our youngest just graduated from hs, and our oldest just has one class left, and loans have already started on his college til he graduates. So it is either going back to a 9-5 job, which I don't care for, or do something at home. We, too, have been married 26 yrs this yr!!! 🎉

I totally relate to assumptions thing. Once I said in a video several times can we get that l, can we can this etc at a plant nursery just pointing this & that out to hubby. Others assumed and commented that why I needed hubby’s permission to buy stuff ummm no! I just meant should we get this, do you like that etc. just running it but him etc. Not at all what it seemed to them.

Kimmy I just love watching your videos. We are so much alike I also have ADHD, PCOS and I say what comes to my mind as well and I have no shame for that. When you said that comment about hobby lobby and Mr toodles said his comment my husband always says the same thing and it's because I have a problem when I go to hobby lobby I tend to spend too much money. So when I come home with not a lot of stuff he's actually surprised lol.
