Wow, seeing them all next to each other the 2022 blows them away. All of Lego’s small changes to the legs and feet, the stance, some of the angles, and the color blocking really improved the accuracy of the vehicle. I have a couple little non-Lego toys and models of the AT-TE and I can say looking at them the 2022 Lego set is best.
2008 AT-TE walker you forget to mention the specially feature only that one has and it’s the special hidden missile projectiles that shoot from the front.
If I remember correctly the 2008 AT-TE was one of my first official LEGO Star Wars sets I ever got and I absolutely loved it and used it all the time. Until it broke and I never put it back together. But man the memories of that set
The 2008 has a special place in my heart since its the first Star Wars set I ever bought and I had my big brother in US who some how miraculously bought it and bring it oversea back to me with the whole box. No idea how he did it but thank you brother. Honestly the 2022 version seem more compact and cooler with a kick ass set of figures so I might look into getting it when I got the chance. Was thinking of getting the collector edition AT-AT but I already grab the collector Gunship a few months earlier and didn't feel like dropping another big purchase.
2013 will always be my favourite, but I can see everyone's gripe with it being small and almost having no clones, but all in all, opinions are opinions, and Im glad you made this video comparison on the 4 infamous lego clone walkers.
So many fond memories of customising the interior of the 2008 at te, but I think 2022 is by far the most accurate (and sizes well next to the best turbo tank, 2010)
The 2022 is hands down the best one, most accurate and most detailed. However the 2008 is still my favorite due to childhood memories, and I feel very fortunate to have 2 of them.
Man it feels like only a few years ago since the 08 at te. And the 2013 one feels like it came out only months ago ahahaha. Hadnt realized itd been so long. Ohh how time flies
Damn the 2008 brings so much nostalgia. I remember getting that on the christhmas eve and building it with my dad the next morning. Idk why the size’s of all the sets nowadays are so small compared to the clone wars sets. Loved the big ass sets back then as a kid
I just got the newest one, because I've always wanted an AT-Te. I wish I was smarter when I was 5 and bought the 2008 one. I still think it is the best out of them all!
the 2008 at-te will always be the best imo, i think it looks the most balanced and not cramped like the two newer ones. still cannot wait to get the new one tho
David you and I are the same age, and I remember when your 2008 At-te review came out. I got it for my 11th birthday that year. Oh how time flies my friend.
Whover thought it’s a good idea to make those huge colorful eyes instead of black dots for the clone wars mini figs… Why did they think it’s a good idea?! It’s a nightmare fuel 😂. Btw definitely should do the nostalgia video 😂 your videos were one of the first ones I watched on you tube. Still remember pretending to understand you (I’m English second language) and after few months I realized I don’t need to pretend cause I do understand 😂 you improved my English so much when I was still a kid. You’re a legend and you still have a place in my heart 😄 keep up the great work!
Never had the 2008 version, and its details and coloration are pretty underwhelming especially when its size is held back by the huge gaps all over it. Despite its flaws, it is very nostalgic as this was the time period that i first got into Lego at all, and i remember pouring over that beast in a catalogue for hours wishing my parents could afford it. I overpaid for the 2013 one a few years back, and it seemed like it would be very hard to improve upon, but i love the 2022 version’s improved details, especially the interior. Not to mention the fact that I’m a sucker for its brick-built leg details, despite the presence of a few stickers still being there.
The original lego Star Wars AT TE set was actually released in 2003 not 2002. All four models look amazing together, however the 2008 clone wars version is my favorite one.
The 2008 atte walker has a soft spot for me too because that was the first video I watched of legoboy12345678. I remember watching it everyday in hopes of finally getting it
I'm a sucker for the sheer size of the 08' version, however the side gaps I modified to not be as gappy. 22' nails a lot, still needs refinement. Miniature selection in 22 and 08 are perfect though.
can't wait for it to release. The only thing which bugs me about it, is the the holes on the helmets. I wish they put the holes in the same place where they used to in the phase 1 clone helmets. It really stands out, but otherwise it's perfect
2022 they made the feet resemble the right sized and they fixed that middle leg sticking out so far to the side. I understand wanting a printed piece for the joint but honestly I really like they tried to make it using just legos. I missed the 2013 wave and had wanted atte’s for the longest time and this one was just such an amazing set I love it.
You know I don't even really care how long it takes him but he has a bad habit of telling you when he's gonna do something, then not doing it when he said and is really bad at updating people. For one of the biggest Lego UA-camrs I expect more NGL, a lot of people with much less viewership than David are much more reliable with their content.
The 2008 version had one hidden function that was amazing : the 2 canons hidden under the front armor panel... now that shooting mechanism are smaller, i wonder why we still don t have this function implemented?
My first AT-TE was the one from the clone wars series (2008). I like it, but I will get the 2022 AT-TE. I didn’t know that the 2008 AT-TE was the biggest. Good video!
7:00 I did not expect you to be that cute haha 😳 Also 2008 on is my fave because it is the one I have from way back then. But I do agree, I prefer the smaller scale of the newer one.
I would have liked to hear a comparison of the cannons. I do like that the 2008 model is compatible with the LAAT/c - trying to make one with spare parts.
To me the 2008 is the GOAT. I remember back in the day my friend got the 2008 AT-TE and I got the 2008 clone wars republic gunship which is also the GOAT for the gunship.
bought 80 of the utapau troopers back in the day, so I've just been buying loose or minifigure-less 75337s for like half retail lol. Makes it easier to build up a little AT-TE lineup. Don't like how the new 212th figs look anyway personally.
Only one I have is the 2008 clone wars version. But I'm planning to at least try to get the new 2022 set. Now we just need a play scale republic gunship. But it's not anyone would be able to get a hold of one. I bet it would sell out the second it releases lol.
I’d rank them as: 1. 2022 Pros: PHASE 2 COMMANDER CODY. Five clones. Great interior space with seven seats. A side build. Gaps between panels mostly being small. Most detailed and accurate to source material. Cons: Dwarf droid as the side build. While being a good dwarf spider droid build, isn’t accurate to the scene (we should’ve gotten a crab droid instead). Despite helmet holes being there to accessorize troopers, most people won’t use them except for Commander Cody. The helmet printing on the 212th troopers are wrong, with no point. 2. 2008 Pros: Accurate to how it looks in the Clone Wars show. Accurate figure selection to the scene (Anakin, Ahsoka, Rotta, Rex). A side build (which unlike 2022, is accurate to the scene). Giant spring loaded missile. Can connect to the Republic Dropship. From one of the best waves in Lego Star Wars history. Cons: No floor in the interior (Might not matter for most, but that makes it look worse imo). The stickers are clear, which can cause air bubbles. Can see into the interior due to gaps between panels. ONLY 2 CLONES. 3. 2003 Pros: A speeder bike hidden in the back. 4 clones. Clean interior space. Classic set nostalgia. Cons: Sits too low to the ground, Red pieces are prone to cracking in modern day. Green windshield. Can see into the interior due to gaps between panels (obviously since it’s from 2003 but still). Despite looking great for the time, looks the worst out of all of them. 4. 2013 Pros: COLEMAN TREBOR. Looks accurate (not as accurate as 2022, but still really good). Interior sticker detail showing a spider droid (another set you could get at the time). From one of the best waves in Lego Star Wars history. Cons: NO INTERIOR SEATS. ONLY 1 CLONE. MORE DROIDS THAN CLONES IN A CLONE VEHICLE. (Not as many cons as the others, but just those ones mentioned really push it down to the worst)
I like the 2022 the best, it’s a great blend of 2013 and 2008. The shell is a more detailed 2013 with more detailed interior of 2008, and whilst I like the 2008 due to nostalgia. I will say it is quite gappy especially on the bottom of the interior. I wish Lego gave us the cannon of the 2008 on the 2022, as it has the same one as the 2013. Idk if it’s just mines but the cannon is starting to sag a little on the 2013 but the 2008 one is still fine. Though it’s an easy fix for me, still a great set all round will definitely be picking up on day 1.
How does the rebels at te build measure up to the new one? Just interested in the differences in the actual at te build as opposed to everything on top of the rebels one
I lost a bunch of pieces the 2008 at-et walker which is also the set I never finished because I was missing the rubber bands and it was also the first set I bought with my allowance $100 back then in 2008 I felt like Elon musk
I am very new to collecting Lego Star Wars sets and figures. This looks like a great kit but as per my local Lego shop they are listed for 01 August but they have said they will have no news on stock etc until Friday 29th if anything. I can’t preorder, or put a deposit or pay in full in advance. They suggested queue outside the shop from 0600 on the 1st and when they open @0930 they will or will not have any and they may only get 10 sets? I assume this is normal for a brand new high demand kit? It’s not the case with 1/35 armour and 1/350 ship kits that I normally spend $$$ on. Thanks in advance. 👍
I'm not gonna get the newest ATTE unless there's a 212 battle pack so I can fill it up. Cause although it looks good, I have the 2013 and the 2008 and there's just something about the size of the old ones that make the 13 look small in comparison.
The 2008 one was so much fun to me as a kid, but the 2022 version is beautiful.
The interior space really does it for me.
He didn’t include the rebels one… L
@@Tmandoesgamesbad set
What a legendary Star Wars vehicle, so glad LEGO listened to the fans and gave us the remake we’d been asking for! Great comparison David 🙌
Hi TLB, are you gonna get the new walker ?
I’m happy for the fans who wanted the at-te back after waiting for so long
He didn’t include rebels one… major L.
Hello my fellow Brit
#justice4bricks
I personally liked legos choice of not choosing the dish for the legs as it makes the set look more natural
Exactly for the first time it's proportional
@@lancefisher8358 that makes no sense, they’re the same sizes. It’s just multiple stacked dishes.
@@Tmandoesgames the 2022 version got the middle legs right, I never liked the disk there
That entire middle leg seems to have gotten a much need redesign.
@@Tmandoesgames I think they mean laterally face the front/back of the walker
2022 is pretty similar to the 2013 but has pretty good improvements that make it the best of the bunch. Great review!

@@Tmandoesgames You comment this everywhere. We get it.

So many fond memories of customising the interior of the 2008 at te, but I think 2022 is by far the most accurate (and sizes well next to the best turbo tank, 2010)

Great side-by-side! You can really see how LEGO has refined the model over 20 years. Thanks for the awesome content!
Thank you for this video! This makes it a lot easier for me to decide if the 2022 version is worth it, as I own the 2008 version already.
