The seating arrangement on the interior is more faithful to the cross section book than previous sets. I LOVE IT. Anything to seat extra soldiers I’m a sucker for.
Fun fact: The actual AT-TE model used in the movie has so many mechanical parts on the underside that an interior doesn't even fit. Because there's no space for an interior in an AT-TE, in The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch they have to do all sorts of jank to make it look like it has an interior when it in fact does not.
Seeing it next to the 2013 model, you can see not only are the feet more accurate in size, but the whole stance of the legs is much more accurate to the in-universe vehicle. The older models kind of splay out like a big spider, making the stance much wider than it should be. Really happy with the improvement there on this model, as well as the better shaping on the back. Sold!
3:20 Actually there was a dark-red visor in the set 9488 „Elite Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack“ as an alternative to the red antenna the ARC-trooper minifigure had.
I loved that that set included the visor in red, made a more accurate commander Fox possible. Now this one in orange will also help make phase 1 cody minifigs better!

I'm too used to having a full compartment filled with technic bricks, it almost feels weird. The price isn't bad, maybe I'd pay 20€ less, but whatever. It'll go just fine side by side with the 2013 one. Hopefully we'll get a new minifig scaled LAAT sooner or later... :')
@@elipetrou9308 same, I got the 2013 one, but it's not in a good shape due to dust and a bit too much sunlight. Definitely a new model would be great also due to the updated piece catalogue and techniques. It'd probably be a bit smaller and more compact nowadays... Still, one can hope... :')

I think they should’ve kept the clone trooper helmets the same like in the 2014 212th battle pack and prior prequel clone sets. These helmets look more like the clone wars helmets than the actual ROTS phase two helmets.
Frankly they look ugly. Sucks Cody was done dirty with it but I knew they were going to put him in this design before they ever released their plans to the public. At least commander gree has a good helmet.
When I first heard about the 501st battle pack I was set to buy a few dozen sets, assuming they were in the 2014 style. Then I saw the Clones up close and realised how ugly they are. The new style is just terrible, especiallIy when it comes at the cost of the perfect 2014 style. Honestly, the same applies to Snowtroopers, Stormtroopers and Hoth Rebels too in my opinion. All of these were great in 2014 then got a downgrade in 2019.
I’m thinking the dwarf spider made it in to the set because it was going to be an E2 set, and when they switched the mini figs to be 212th and Cody they just didn’t rebuild the ‘opposition’ and kept the spider
Still prefer the 2014-2019 P2 clone design. Every time LEGO starts making clones again they change the design so you never get a complete and comprehensive lineup. The previous designs came with sets that are almost completely up to date with their current building style so I don't see any justification for changing them again.
I actually think the helmet holes are fine since you can make them more like arc troopers/unique if you want to. Personally I will be throwing a Kama and either a range finder or a visor if there’s an extra on one of these guys if not multiple of them. I just wish they started doing the holes with the 501st battle pack because now I have a ton of basic 501st troopers but no unique 501st troopers. I would have really liked to have had one look like the heavy 501st troopers from Battlefront 2 with the visor and Kama.
I know people wanted a Crab Droid over a Dwarf Spider Droid. Thing is, if this WAS originally an EP.II set and they switched it, they'd likely want to make the least changes possible. That would include not changing the DSD as it appears in EP.II (albeit in brown)

@@mybawzarerichie They could be saving a crab droid for a potential 212th battle pack. Also, a spider droid is fine because it uses fewer pieces and they probably want to have some bad guys vs good guys play value. 3 battle droids are the most we've seen in YEARS so I wouldn't complain.

This is the best review I’ve seen for some time, I always watch mandrprouductions and he complains a lot lol I like how you didn’t complain about the helmet holes and spider droid the whole, and just gave it a good honest review. Great video
The holes aren't the only things that's different about the helmets. There is now a protruding band around the top of the helmet that the black line now sits on top of. These new changes make the top of the new helmet appear thicker than the previous helmets.
I count 4 extra seats when you put all your clone troopers in the at te. They could release a clone battle pack with 4 clones and that would fill the seats perfectly.
I think that there’s a problem in the Lego Star Wars community whit people over buying certain sets like the at te and the 501st battle pack because Lego doesn’t make these kinds of sets very often
It’s pretty sad that grown adults are supposedly saying they wanna buy more than 2 for themselves. That hurts the target audience and collectors who don’t care about building “dioramas”
How is nobody else talking about the false advertising for the printing on the 212th troopers!? The images show a point for the orange stripe on the dome, and the figures are completely missing that. Ridiculous.

@@trentoninnewjersey hopefully they do make a 212th battle pack and a 332nd battle pack and maybe just a plain white Clone battle pack The plain white clones will go nicely with the Lego bad batch set Because pretty much all the bad batch fight is plain white clones. And maybe even a crosshair imperial squad battle pack. That would be awesome.
This IS the battle pack
@@boogie1434 this isn’t the battle Pack they usually go for $30-$40 this is not a battle pack it is more of a expansion battle pack.
Yes!!!!!! I’ve been so excited to see this review!
People getting 6+ just absolutely ruins the market. I’m not a botter or even someone who’s great at getting “timed release items”. Could someone please explain how I can get my hands on just ONE of these sets? Do i need to camp out infront of my mall lego store on July 31?
Facts. I’m 16 years old, recently got a summer job, and have the money saved up for this set but adult fans who decide to buy more than 2 ruin chances at getting one
@@trentoninnewjersey shoutout 609 but yeah like even this UA-cam buying 6 sets is so unnecessary especially with how strained the market is right now. It’s a shame lego doesn’t do more to stop botters and scalping.
I love that they finally put holes in the phase 2 helmet, so much more customizable now, arc troopers coming up!
This is a really great set, but im saving up for the 90th anniversary castle so this will have to wait :)
Finally someone who doesn’t complain about the mini figs yes
This is the best review I’ve seen for some time, I always watch mandrprouductions and he complains a lot lol I like how you didn’t complain about the helmet holes and spider droid the whole, and just gave it a good honest review. Great video
He literally complained extensively about the spider droid. Did you watch the vid before commenting bro?
This is an amazing set to build your army
Fr it’s been so long since we get a lot of clones in a big set
i want this set but, its SO expensive
I didn’t realise the new one was so much better than the 2013 set until seeing them side by side wow
Man, this is is worth it just for the phase 2 Cody alone. But man the value and design is great.
Is the geonosis moc gonna be the ep2 version or a clone wars version? If it is the cw version you can actually use p2 cody!
The holes aren't the only things that's different about the helmets. There is now a protruding band around the top of the helmet that the black line now sits on top of. These new changes make the top of the new helmet appear thicker than the previous helmets.
Resellers are going to have a field day on this set
A great set.. and a shame we still don’t have a crab droid
I think how and where you got it would be a good question since I'm sure all of us can't wait to get our hands on it!
I think LEGO sent the set to him themselves. Not sure though.
I mean i saw other less popular creators also get it so it's really a mystery!
@@Average_Explosion_Enthusiast Huh interesting.
@@BurntTM I mean i think it's probbaly those moments when a store near his house releases the set early for some reason
@@Average_Explosion_Enthusiast Yeah. Makes sense.
Facts
8:16 "with ✨FaHhifE✨" 😂😂 love it!!
It’s pretty sad that grown adults are supposedly saying they wanna buy more than 2 for themselves. That hurts the target audience and collectors who don’t care about building “dioramas”
Shut up
Yeah facts
This is THE set to buy in 2022!!!!! Excellent review man!
DUDE I JUST WANT 1 DAMIT WHY THE HELL ARE YOU BYING 6 WTF DUDE WHYYYYY!!!!!!
I know you only need 1 or 2 at tes!
How is nobody else talking about the false advertising for the printing on the 212th troopers!? The images show a point for the orange stripe on the dome, and the figures are completely missing that. Ridiculous.
why would you buy 6?! you don't need 6, nobody needs six. just buy 1
I *knew* Lego would include an accessory pack for the clones! I can already imagine the kinds of crazy customization people will be doing with those visors and antennas
Like the entire Lego Star Wars fan base I’m ticking the ‘must buy’ box for this set! Excellent content as always! 💪
This is a much easier and better review than mandrproductions one, just because of how you don't complain and whine 🤣
Always the best reviews from this guy!
5:32 is that a hair on the droid?
"This is the first time a clone has a unique head"
The bad batch and 2021 Boba: am i a joke to you?
Content is just amazing don’t stop with the greatest content on the platform love watching the reviews so I can see what I’m getting when I get these things great content David!
