I love this channel. Started playing cs go like 8 years ago as my first pc game ever. Something about counter strike is so intriguing when you first play it, everything has a super nostalgic feel and all the movement/shooting mechanics feel so crisp. I’ve always felt like a total noob cuz I don’t really keep up with the culture consistently but videos like these are so awesome for learning about the little nuances of the game. Keep up the good work bro, you deserve the growth you’ve gotten recently 👍🏻
I was messing around on office learning utility angles and got bored and started shooting the computers, I was impressed to see you can shoot out all of the PC components
As someone who only very recently bought his first PC and is getting into CS and half life i find your videos really interesting and informative, it feels like history has happened in the last 20 or so years and I know nothing about it.
The thing you said about the players' impact could change the game, is really accurate. We were down by 5 rounds then our bot frag literally clutched a 1v3 post plant with a Deagle, after that round everybody started to play good and we even tied the game
Ohne watched your video on stream and put the whole thing on his clips chanel. I'm glad you're getting some of the exposure you obviously deserve, your passion for CS is obvious and the top comment is right, you're clicking into Philip's niche comfortably while still being different enough to get an instant subscribe. Glad to be here before 100k
the reason for the gaps in things is floating point error, which is why you can only see it from further away. the perpendicular surface directly behind the wall on overpass is showing because of "catastrophic cancellation", which happens when two verry similar or small floating point numbers are subtracted from eachother, resulting in the small precison error dictating whether the outcome is positive or negative
6:40 in a similar vein, there's an ATM on overpass that you can shoot to dispense money. If you look behind the SWAT truck on A site by long there's a few ATMs (on the same wall that has the entrance to bank), the one farthest out to the left will gib money
I remember watching that furia boost live. For the rest of the game every time 100T pushes ramp they basically had their eyes glued on that spot giving so many free kills to everyone else
What a phenomenal thesis, and at the very end of the video, no less. So glad your channel came up on recommended! We love to see a truly fine addition to UA-cam
I absolutely agree that only a small portion of CSGO matches are a lot of fun (and when they are fun they are REALLY fun), but I think team chemistry matters way more than the raw number of rounds that must be played before a match can be concluded. More often than not, a match goes on for longer than usual not because both teams are playing great but because both teams are making ridiculous mistakes that cost them the rounds. A match is only fun when both teams are competent enough and also have enough chemistry so that you feel exactly as you explained: YOU can make a difference, both for better or for worse.
Your production quality is so good! However, sometimes you stutter on words, but it really isn’t a big deal! But re-recording those aswell as normalizing your audio and keeping a more equal distance between takes, sometime I can hear alot more ”NPR” radio voice (sitting really close) which causes some mic popping on S and P sounds and other times it’s perfect. Just some feedback! Love your vids ❤️
appreciate it! it was raining when i recorded some of the audio which made some of it kinda bad. I wish i could've re-recorded but I was kind of on a crunch because I had a busy ass week other than sunday. I'll try to stay a specific distance away from the mic LOL
@@PenguinCS2 I agree with him on the voice/Mic part. I can fall asleep wqtching these while still being interested and paying attention until i fall asleep (alot of people have auto play on so more $$$$$$$) . Perfect mix of casual, entertainment, good voice, and good information. I will watch 3kliks, anomaly, some fpl players during the day. When I'm laying down to go to bed, these videos are my go to. Keep it up man!
as for the popping sounds, de-essers always helps (thank god for de-essers, the greatest invention of audio technology) or if you're too lazy, I highly recommend iZotope RX
I think you should do a video looking beyond the playable areas on csgo maps. I love going on a empty server and fly around with noclip and looking at stuff that I never paid attention to... Like how theres a barbegue grill and chairs on top of pop dog on train or how theres a cool crane on dust 2 b site, or the many cool balconies on various maps or even the pizza shop sign on short dust. If you go on a map and actually look around it doesnt take long to see something cool that you never saw before. You could never before spot it because in the middle of a round the only thing you focused on was the gameplay and not the map and its cool details. and usually valve made maps have more cool stuff to find.
I don’t even play CS:GO, but i love the passion with which you make these videos. There’s few youtubers out there that care about their game as much as you do, and you’re able to turn it into an entertaining, well-written video.
In video games there is this thing called LOD's if you aren't familiar. Which is just models that switch based on the players distance from the object with lower detailed ones. That might be why overpass gap exists far away, but not visible up close.
Please make more videos like this!! Until AsumSaus’s videos, I was a Smash Ultimate player and knew almost nothing about Melee and it’s complexities that it brung to the table, and since I’m a Valo player now, I’d love for CSGO to get that same treatment!
checkout WarOwl's and KliksPhilip's old Csgo videos! they were the channels i started watching when i first got into csgo definitely recommend csgo if u alrdy enjoy valorant. cs excels in pretty much every facet compared to valo its skill ceiling is unlike any other fps ive played, allowing the best players to win w/o any annoying rng some major categories worth looking into/researching would be: movement, gunplay, economy, map knowledge, util, and gamesense
Something I'd strongly recommend for future videos: RECORD AT HIGHER SETTINGS! Turn on some anti-aliasing above all else. I completely understand if these are the settings you normally PLAY on, but RECORDING for a video is different. The relatively low resolution of your game is really noticeable and distracting, especially when you zoom in. Pixelated jaggies dancing around the screen especially ruins the beauty shots. Keep up the good work!
Another bug with Molotov is that if they are thrown close to a ceiling they go through it a lot of people know this in mirage but it is also on overpass lake and nuke among others.

What i discovered on office- by myself accidentally is that if you shoot at the projector in the projector room trough the chair that is right next to it, or a wall, it doesnt break from the first bullet, but it stops shining 🤨Also, if you shoot at the TV that hanging on the other side of that room, trough edge of the wall, if falls down as usual, but it remains the same colour, it doesnt ”explode”
6:52 the screen is only on for the first two or three seconds of the round, so even if it does happen in a round it is impossible for a player to see in normal gameplay. That's why it took years for anyone to figure out the easter egg was even there.
I saw it in a normal round. I was running there exactly for it everytime on T side and then walk to A. I got it on my second match where I was trying to see it.
I once shot an R8 through the wall from the bridge into the right most window in apts on Inferno and HS some dude and have tried every time since to take a few deag or scout shots into it for a kill
