This is the perfect video I needed haha I'm starting to work on my handstand again and feeling some discomfort/lack of warm-up knowledge. Cheers Daniel!
+Mist Shrine Not the most fun thing to do but absolutely necessary.
Can I use this as a rehabilitation program after a wrist injury? Thank you so much!
Yeah probably man just be careful, i tore some ligaments, skateboarding, just don't push too hard
I used some of these exercises, and do bout 10-15 reps with each exercise, and I didn't feel any pain in my wrist when I planche, or handstand thnx daniel, for this vid really needed it and it's very helpful
I started getting into shape about 2 months ago and I was really concerned how am I going to do a lot of exercises that need me to use my wrists. I always had very weak wrists, some months ago I just sat on the counch leaning in one hand for about 10-15 minutes without realizing and my wrist hurt so bad, I couldn't use my hand for more than a week (luckily it was not my dominant hand!).
I tried doing this routine as part of my general warm-up pre-workout, about 15-20 repetitions for each exercise, and it was a lifesaver!!! I really felt a huge difference and my wrists are no longer painful!
So thank you so much for what you do!!! 🙏
This helped a lot. I was concerned with my wrist weakness when I started my fitness journey yeara ago. This was one of the videos that popped up. When I progressed from body weight exercises to lifting I had little trouble keeping my grip thanks to these!
Now years later I'm getting back on the fitness train after an illness, this is still my go-to for my warmups.
Thanks for putting this out there!
Actually this is one of the most exciting videos. I've been waiting for your take on this matter. Good one! And thank you for sharing!
Oh my gosh my wrists are so tight I can’t believe I didn’t get injured... thanks for making this vid or I’d have never known
Stretch to avoid injuries. So i strongly recommend this to everyone.
P.S. - Nicely done, and big support to you Daniel.
My job is very taxing on my wrists. I've been dealing with pain recently, so I know I'll have to take better care of them. Thanks for sharing !
Literally the best set of exercises for warming up your wrists, if you are heavily leaning (pun not intended) on your wrist while working out (push ups, hand stands and dips)!
I disagee. These types of videos are very interesting to watch. Mobility training is my weakness, so I apreciate these videos over tutorials of movements. Keep them coming mate!
Thanks, man it really helped with the reverse prayer pose. I have been working on it for about a week with no noticeable progress. All I needed was this 4-minute video for my wrist mobility. I still can't do it perfectly, but at least I know now what I need to work on.
Keep up the good work! 💪
2:32 - Sprained my wrist snowboarding in January. Been trying to stretch my wrist and work on mobility but nothing ever helped. Just doing this @ 2:32 felt instant relief.
Most thorough wrist program I've seen yet, well done!
Thank you very much Dan! Been already doing the rocking for- and backward motions with different hand positions before every workout but I'll incorporate more from the exercises in the video. :)
To the end of the video. People who are serious about their training are thankful for this type of video, most stuff might be already known because of the sources you named, but seeing an expert do them is very helpful! Keep them coming. Training videos are also always good to see!
I watched one of your old videos and now all are appearing to me again. There are great memories in watching those and my goals are now more close to this then before, so they are even more helpful now :D
I really like your voice. It's so calm to listen to.
+FitnessFAQs wow I've had wrist problems for a while and these mobility exercises really helped. Appreciate it.
Well done. Lots of wrist stretches for help with gymnastic movements and olympic lifts. Thank you!
I got pretty much the same wrist warm-up. I think I picked it up from Ryan Hurst. Great video Daniel.
This is actually my favourite video on your whole channel
One of the best lads on UA-cam
this is the first video i watch and use to start every workout, it's such a valuable resource. Thanks so much man keep up the intense training
Some from good ones from GMB too . Really great wrist warmup and work. I fucked my rotator with tucked planche holds with no focus on scapullar posture, felt my shoulder amazingly stronger and tried too hard because of my ignorance. What I sure did well meanwhile was improving my wrist flexibillity. Helped lots. No more pain, wrists healthier than ever. Helped even with guitar related wrist problems.
Love your videos man. I would like to see you more on rings. BTW, can you do iron cross?
2 videos in one day
+XCMam7 :)
+XCMam7 I'm positively surprised, don't remember last time 2 videos in one day.. :)
+aleksandar736 Friday 06:00 GMT+10 new video weekly
This help me a lot every time I land a back handspring my wrist hurt so bad but it doesn't hurt after these stretches
Your videos are great !! I love them and you're a great example of a good calisthenics teacher !! thanks for your effort, you help us a lot !!
Your video inspired me to shoot something similar myself. Thank you. 🙏
My wrist and I are very thankful for this information sir!
really great ! I ride bicycle and have some paralysed fingers... This help a lot ! Thanks ! I'll do it every day now :)
Great video ... i got minor injury in wrist recently because i didnt stretch prior to handstand ... thanks for warm up routine :)
hey Daniel, i still do your "stretching in 60" exercises for wrist and legs, keep it going with the good vids
+bozz1g Cheers man.
Nicee, what i've been looking for! This is savedd to my list and recommended to anyone that needs it!!
+Jason Calisthenics Thanks brother.
+FitnessFAQs you should know how many times I've used your muscle up tutorial for people that asked about muscle ups.. i lost count lol😀
Thanks for the great tips. How about a video showing the whole warm-up before going into a training session?
Thanks Great video. Pain is gone 2nd last stretch really felt good and hit the spot.
Excellent information in this video Daniel well done man! Please do a straight arm press handstand tutorial, just watched your other video about focusing on your weaknesses and it is a huge one of mine. I've been training gymnastics properly for about 2 years (with about 2 years of half hearted effort before that) and I really feel its something I should be able to do.
i needed this coz i've been doing handstands lately.
Very helpful instruction. Thank you!
Honestly so useful thanks man
i am so fucking great full for this video man ive had no success in the past trying to find wrist stretches so i just did little wrist circles now i have more i know i can do thanks dood
ive been looking for something like this !
Please do a nutrition video. It d be awesome. Youre great man, respect
Thank you so much Daniel, for the science you provide to my beginner's training.
Hey Daniel, can you please make a video on intermittent fasting? Keep up the great work, mate!
Thanks for this video...I always forget to warm up my wrists and then they hurt...think I will do this before next workout :)
Hey Daniel! Do you do these before and after your workout or, just before? Awesome video as always man!
Awesome video! Been having flexibility issues with my wrist positioning for front squats. Going to try this and see if it helps...
Thanks you!!
great vid Dan. just tried this and the usual pain in my wrists when doing hspu's isn't there. definitely need to do this more often.
Thanks. I will do that, starting point: level 0. From today to 8 weeks. Let's see ...
Thanks man, really what I need right now!
Great video, this is just what I needed :)
Cool video thanks allot. It has really helped me with guitar.
Some of these stretches are a bit complex...
You maybe the only source on youtube that has displayed some of these.
Where can I find more in depth info about these stretches?
im gonnamaster all of these
Great video
Awesome channel! 👍
One of the best ways to stay motivated for training is to create a youtube channel where you start uploading your progress and skills and after a while doing calisthenics as a job. Oh. now I told everyone your secret, Daniel! muahahahaha
that video is gold! thanks brother! :)
+Michał Daniel just wanted to add it's so valuable content, not only for calisthenics lovers, but also for gym rats. I prefer those videos instead of vlogs of some famous fitness gurus that are repetetive and doesnt provide any value - just waste of time.
make a complete upper and lower body warm up
What can I do if I've already injured the wrists doing handstands and such? How can I speed up the healing process? Really need this cuz I cant do most of the movements I wanna work on.
The actual key of stronger calisthenics
wow! Thanks a lot because i just started to planche challange
Thank you Daniel 👊🏼
Great video! Can you do a similar video for albows? That would be really helpful. Keep up The good work!
Found it very helpful. Thanks for share!
Hi, Daniel from this video I figure we should prevent injuries. I think I read that you are physiotherapist so I guess you may be able to help me understand my condition. I already have injury in my wrists (too much pressure on not warmed up wrists: handstands etc.) This injury I have been carrying around for over couple years now. I am 24y old and I basically cant get into handstand on ground because it hurts. What should I do? I am avoinding these possitions where I feel pain (parallettes, p bars, etc.) Do you think that streching enough plus getting strenght in wrists tendons and muscles could do the job? Thank you
Update?
nice video!
Thanks! Perfect I saw this video on bench day :)
2 videos in less than a hour. yeeessss jajajaaj
Thank you so much, You give me so much inspiration. I love how you teach and how you take your time to completely understand the subject to enlighten others. From watching your videos. ive progressed from only a couple pull ups to being able to do the bar brothers requirements and other tricks... Im still have so much trouble with my planche though.. Youre planche videos are so reassuring because its taking me ages to be able to hold a straddle for 2 seconds... Once again thank you for your time and dedication to this movement. Youve really helped me out and I know countless others.
+Aaron Hawkins Thanks for taking the time out of your day to write me Aaron, good luck with training.
Any chance of a wrist strengthening vid? What's your thoughts on the rice bucket?
Fantastic. Thanks!
put subtitles in your videos , I am Brazilian I follow your channel but not understand anything ... thanks bro
Recovering from a sprained ankle, any recommendations for stretches to get the mobility back?
Updates?
How long would you say it takes to get really great wrist mobility by doing these 3 times a day
great tips bro!!!!
Can't do a planche yet because my wrists doesn't bend that far, hope this helps me
Thank you!!!
Thanks!
very useful
Dan, the first three ballistic movements are not really good for the warming up session, as it could lead to ligament and joints surface damages. instead of short back and force bounces i would better recommend circular motions or wider range back and force movements, which are more physiological, as involving more surface and muscles.
PS: the tutorial is good as always +++
YES, Thank you!
I wanted to say first awesome video. my wrists already feel better. I wanted to ask I plan on joining the US Marines and I wanted to ask what Is the best way to get 20 deadhang pullups, 80 pushups and 100 crunches? I am currently at 12 pullups, 60 pushups and 75 crunches. thank you
thanks what i need
hey Daniel could you upload video about improve one arm push up
Could these exercises be used as a shoulder warm up too?
those are good for recovery and flexibility?
i had an wrist injurie 3 months ago.
i feel much better right now, and i feel no pain anymore
but, with all this time without doing anything, i have lost some of my wrist strength and flexibility
so, now i can't do many of my bboying and calisthenics stuff, because they start to get sore
hey bro salute!! How are you? i have something that i can ask you. I have a wrist injury and now im recovery of this but sometimes hurt me a little. im i wanna know what you recommend me about it. i injury my wrist after a fall of the parallel bar practicing freestyle in p bars! i wait can contact with you. sorry if my english is not good jaja i try to do the best that i can! peace bro and great channel !!
hello
What about upper body or mostly shoulder mobility. Isn't that the second, if not, at least the first important part with the wrists in order to perform most the movements. How about a guide for that? But thank you for this video at least
Hey daniel, do you know of a book that helps to have more knowledge about how to get ripped, healthy foods, etc?
Wooo, Ido!
I have small pain in my elbows while training for back lever any tips to avoid that??
I cannot place my palm down when putting my finger towards my knees in 0:35 How am I supposed to do all this?
why dont you do a front lever tutorial I bet many poeple would love to see it
Hi can you make a video how to make that whit equipment you use thank you ;)
it's very good
You think this will help for pain during front squats?
the best
This is Coach Sommer's wrist prep series, not Ido's or Kit's. You basically did the warm up to handstand 1...
+Chris Edgar Some of them are not though. Conversely, some of Sommer's wrist prep exercises aren't included. And there is still the possibility that Sommer actually learnt them from Ido, Kit, or some other sources.
I’m trying to do the handstand but I have horrible wrist mobility. I need to stretch everyday until I have greater mobility and try the handstand again. It’s painful
Hi, I need help on building LEAN MUSCLES!
I'm 183cm and weigh 67kg and i like the body that Frank Medrano has. My question is how do i burn fat and build Lean muscles without gaining much fat and increase my mass. Thanks in advance!
