Makes sense, LH is just a hormone to trigger ovulation. But it’s not a physical component to actually force ovulation so I can see how it could peak and still no ovulation.
This cycle I decided to start temping and this happened to be a disaster. I usually get a surge on cycle day 15-17 but this Time I got cm around CD 10 and by CD 12 I got a positive opk. Next day I got a bit of rise in my temp, then today I got a low temp again and I'm supposed to be 2 DPO. Tracking my temp is just making me sad and frustrated cuz now I think I got a anovulatory cycle.

I started my TTC this month so I did LH but it was negative after my period. Last night I checked my CM and had an egg yolk but checked my LH surge today it was negative but the app said my fertile window will start tomorrow Jan 27 and ovulation on Feb 2. I'm a little confused.
I got a progesterone test as well in day “7-8DPO” it was only 7.48ng/ml my period is a day or 2 late no symptoms no positive hcg. When I’ve tracked for 3 months my cycle has always started 15days after a positive lh surge, indicating I ovulate a day after the surge. It’s frustrating 😢😢😢😢 Today makes 17 days after my surge and 16DPO.
I bought opk after 4 years of being on BC. Im now ttc . Ive been trying for 4 months without luck. I finally decided to buy an OPK im on CD 9 3 days from my predicted ovulation day. But the test line isn't getting darker.
Could you please do a video on encouraging ovulation and a return of cycle postpartum? I am currently 14 months postpartum and breastfeeding 3x per day (night weaned completely) with no return of ovulation or any sign of my cycle. My previous two postpartum experiences were alike in that I didn’t ovulate until I was only nursing 1x in a 24hr period. At 16 months and then 17 months.
Why would I have positive opks at 10, 11 & 12 dpo but also am light bleeding?? Sure theres a faint line on hcg.. could the opk be picking up pregnancy? Light bleeding for 3 days cud be implantation u think?
I have missed 2 months of my period, and ovulation test since 9/27 every day up to now, 10-27, is been showing positive, but all my pregnancy tests are negative, at this point, i dont know what is happening. Did anyone have this problem? my ovulation tests are positive. no negatives
My traditional medicine doctor just told me that charting is inaccurate and shouldn't be trusted to know when you ovulated..🙃 Thinking of looking for a new doctor even though my whole family loves him!
Hello mam good morning iam from Andhra, I had a doubt regarding ovulation kit, last year November 16th period started and end with nov 29th. December month there is nothing so I waited for pregnancy test, simply I tried in ovulation kit it's shows positive and again I tested in pregnancy kit it's shows little bit difference, now my doubt is, whether iam not in ovulation but I got a positive results 3 times in jan month this year, can u explain this, iam in confusion mam
Question??? I took an ovulation test the last day of my period and got a faint line. Took again today after my period stopped and another faint line but darker than yesterday. What could it be? My first time ever ovulation testing. Thanks
That means you’re not ovulating, when you dip the stick in you’re urine for a couple seconds and wait a few minutes the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line for the test to be positive. When you’re not going to ovulate and you take the test, no matter what the test line will always show, if it’s faint it means not going to ovulate, if it’s dark that means your going to ovulate. Sorry that was so long lol hope you understand
Opk aren't always accurate. I was due for a natural ivf embryo transfer- where they await for you to ovulate naturally. I thought easy! Because I do! They make you use opk test straps and my lines were peak! So I thought yeah! Went for multiple scans during that peak time and (no sign of ovulation or a dominant follicle). The nurse said its quite common and the lh strips don't always indicate ovulation is taking place.
What if I get a mildly negative opK result ( double line but test line is only slightly lighter than control line) for 2 days followed by a clearly negative test (no/faint test line) the following day? During the days of that mildly negative result, there was EWCM. Does that mean that there is failed ovulation in the cycle, or that I just missed testing for a narrow window? I ve had this result most cycles tbh, but still have regular periods (albeit with spotting in the 3 days prior). Not TTC but slightly concerned about premature Perimenopause due to worsening PMS symptoms.

Ugh this is stressful! 🥴 I’ve been thinking I’m ovulating since I get a positive and the next day have a temp drop followed by elevated temps.
I’ve been using the LH strips the last 3 months.
It could be an ovulation dip! Especially if it happens every month. Fleur's mentioned it before and calls it a beauty mark 🥰
so right i see so many people on forums doing opk's while having PCOS.
some of them always have a positive test and its confusing them
It's frustrating right! Next month I'm doing videos on PCOS as well since it's PCOS awareness month
Does ovulation test become negative after ovulation?
A change or increase of BBT after the LH peak is what suggests you did ovulate after.
I thought OPK was ovulation predictor kit
Thank you for this video. Very informative & useful !
That’s what it is, in my experience.
Do you always get a rise in your BBT after ovulation? I read that some women don't get this rise in temp even though they've ovulated. Is this true?

Omg how useful is this video I wish many women see it!! Thanks for doing it

Doesnt opk stand for ovulation prediction kit?
It can yes, in which case the name makes sense right :) but for some brands / areas in the world it stands for peak.
@FertilityHomeopath ok thank you 😊 I

Could be that you just missed the true peak somewhere. I'd expect that to be ovulation still if the temp went up after those near positives.
AP does not stand for peak and stands for predict genius
