Hey, guys. Since this was released, there's been some confusion over the title. I named it 'The Legend of Korra' because that final scene encapsulates what in my opinion the series is really about -- finding yourself.
Crikey, the man himself! Just want to say your work on both Avatar series is truly wonderful. Thank you for being an integral part of something I love so much.
Jeremy Zuckerman Thanks for the work you and everyone else did on making this franchise come to life. It was a defining part of my childhood, and will continue to remain one of my favorite franchises. I'll miss seeing new episodes, as well as your awesome soundtrack. But all good things must come to an end, and even though it's over, I can always look back on it and smile, and one day show it to my own kids. And this was a beautiful and fitting song to close out the franchise.
"If you look for the light, you can often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see." ~Uncle Iroh This show has inspired me in many ways and I can't thank Bryan and Michael enough for creating this show that became a big part of my childhood, and my adulthood.
Yeah so deep. Thats sarcasm. It panders off his dialogue with Aang in Book 2 where aang is conflicted(something characters do when they let their flaws contradict objective goals) about choosing love over power
Crossfurr Darius Coatl Pretty much. I’m surprised that people don’t realize that Iroh basically told Aang and Korra the same thing, but in a different way given their current circumstances.
this is so unique. Usually the end of an adventure has an epic atmospehere and epic music. But this ending felt a bit sad and a feeling of something unfinished yet beautiful, leaving a hole of longing
You get the feeling of longing because you know that you'll never get enough. At some point, it has to end, and this was a good ending - but no ending can ever make one accept that the series is... ... finished. Maybe, at some point, there will be a continuation - but even if there is, it won't be enough. Avatar's too good for us to ever get enough of it.
I just finished this show and couldn't put my finger on the range of emotions i was feeling. These are the words. I couldn't have put it better myself.
Moreover, President Raiko wants to expand the city, rather than rebuild that area! So, the region near the portal can be preserved for tourists and spirits and without people actually living there, no one will be affected! :D
Agure Born and raised in NYC. Also, lived in Philly for college. And now I live in another city, right next to City Hall. And I've also lived with a big a** light outside of my window. It was never _not_ annoying (and yes, I had curtains). Not being able to keep the curtains cracked at night is inconvenient and it also limits the type of curtains you can use. And more importantly... it was just a joke. But thanks for the snark lol.
Nocktuk Daze I can see what you mean but who knows what new ideas they can come up with in those brilliant minds of theirs ;D..I mean after they announced LOK, I was literally thinking "what else could you do that hasn't already been done in ATLA?".....maybe they'll be inspired again :)
Lalisa T yea, they should work on other projects, then comeback to Avatar after a few years. *or* they could look at what ideas KorraNation has, and use those. I found a great idea for a sequel. It looked great, and if Bryke uses this idea, I'll be so happy.
Tyron Wells What are you talking about? The avatar series is licensed by nickdick It doesnt matter if its on "Netflix" Its still owned by nickdick so therefore you are never getting another sequal until nickdick releaves its rights too it. That is why im confused on why cnw didnt take it...
0:00 - 1:15 Slowly realizing that this is the end of the story. 1:16 - 2:15 Silently remembering the wonderful world that's been built and stories that have been told in it 2:16 - 2:41 Remembering all the fantastic characters that took part in this long story. How some of them annoyed you, made you laugh, made you smile, and made you cry. 2:42 - 3:04 Accepting that this is the end of that story but in no way the end of the beautiful world and characters that Mike and Bryan created. While the shows may be over, even with new comics and graphic novels coming out eventually, these shows will never die because of the fans. Just like Korra, we will be stubborn until the end. We will not let these shows fade into obscurity because they are a glimpse into the true beauty of creativity, imagination, and passion. Thank you Mike, Bryan, Jeremy, and everyone else that worked on these shows.
Well said. I agree with you because I also really enjoy watching these shows over and over again. They may be over, but they won't be over for me until I die.
"Excuse me Tenzin, Varrick is looking for you. Something about wanting to borrow a glider suit to fly off the tower?" And at that moment, the Korrasami fandom exploded.
k onan Maybe because it's much different to what we're used to seeing in animated shows? And because Korra has been a vastly different show than Last Airbender, would make sense to go the extra mile.
Tenzin's "oh noes!" expression as he ran off was almost comically exagerrated, and Asami's downcast eyes and awkward delivery of her lie makes me think that Tenzin knew that he was being 'gotten rid of", but he understood at least some of what was going on and that Asami wanted some time alone with Korra.
"I spoke to president Raiko. Tomorrow he's announcing a plan to expand the city, rather than rebuild downtown." "I bet Aang never could have imagined a spirit portal in the heart of Republic City." "Korra, you've transformed the world more in a few years than most Avatars did during their lifetimes." "But I feel like I've only just begun. There's so much more I wanna learn." "You don't know how happy I am to hear you so full of hope again!" "Its been a bit of a bumpy ride huh?" "I've come to realize life is one big bumpy ride." "I know I was in a dark place after I was poisoned, but I finally understand why I had to go through all of that. I needed to understand what true suffering was, so I could become more compassionate to others. Even to people like Kuvira." "Excuse me, Tenzin! Varrick is looking for you. Something about wanting to borrow a glider suit to fly off the top of the tower." "WHAT!? That doesn't sound like a good idea!" "Wanna sit with me for a bit? I'm not quite ready to get back to the party." "I don't think I ever really apologized to you." "For what?" "For being gone all that time. For not coming back sooner." "You don't need to apologize for anything. I'm just so happy you're here. I don't think I could've handled losing you and my father in the same day." "I am so sorry about what happened!" "Thank you. I'm just glad I was able to forgive him." "So, what now? Back to the dance floor?" "I'm kind of all danced out. Honestly, after everything that's happened in the past few months, I could use a vacation." "Lets do it! Lets go on a vacation, just the two of us. Anywhere you want!" "Really? Okay. I've always wanted to see what the spirit worlds like." "Sounds perfect!" I just love this scene!
+JSpiker178 The scene is perfect. It sums up Korra's character development. Tenzin being the second to last person she talks to shows her coming to peace with her best master, and Asami being the last person they show her with reflects hows she ready for something new in her life, and she's mature enough to take a step into romance and allowing something new in after everything she went through.
Jono the savage Thats specifically a peice of "The Avatar's Love" which is Aang and Katara's theme and notably plays in its full form only once at the end of ATLA for the balcony scene.
@@mannymoogolf Avatar's Love is actually a more emotional, slightly longer version of "Safe Return" which is used all over Avatar, mostly at the end of many episodes in Seasons 1 and 2... That's why I think it fits so perfectly with the end scenes for both series. We as the viewer form a connection with the music we hear - for example, Iroh's tsungi horn, which plays almost any time Iroh is giving wisdom, first to Zuko, and later to Aang and Korra. Safe Return is a cue that most ATLA fans know by heart, and we unconsciously(or consciously) know whenever it plays that everyone is safe, and we mentally prepare for the episode to end. So when Avatar's Love starts playing when Katara goes onto the balcony to meet Aang, before they even kiss, we already know it's the final moments of the series - the war is over, and everybody is safe, and now Aang and Katara finally have a moment of peace to express their feelings. The same is true for Legend of Korra - although, admittedly, the effect is more nostalgic than anything to do with the scene itself... It plays twice during Korra and Asami's last scene, except now, thanks to ATLA, the theme has a third meaning - love. The series is wrapping up, Korra is safe, and Korra and Asami are about to share a tender moment of romance in the calm.
the genius of Jeremy Zuckerman: the show started with just using the Ehru, the violin-esque sound. as she came closer and closer to truly becoming the avatar, and connecting with the other avatars, the kalimba, thumb piano sound from ATLA, slowly starts playing faintly. in this song, the final scene, both are blended to create an amazing beautiful score to show that korra has finally become the avatar.
princessthyemis SOME holes? It was something greater than a a few holes. A black hole maybe? But the music was so beautiful it brought me to TEARS I am grateful for that
2 years and I still cry to the first 5 seconds. This show changed me in ways I never would've imagined T.T Edit: 2018 update, still cried. Soundtrack too good T_T
+DCSUSHAZAMH “HShazam23” exoticbutters Everytime I listen to this music I start crying 😢 really I can't believe this show have been over since 2 years 😢it was really a beautiful and awesome show I've watched with my family 😞 why they didn't make another season I really wish that they make season 5 but this is impossible the show is over😢😢 😭
this summer i watched avatar the last airbender for the first time and completely fell in love. i was so sad it was over but then started watching korra and realized it wasn't for the time being.. i fell in love once again and cried so much. especially when it was over. this song literally makes me bawl my eyes out. i miss it already. it was my happy place and helped me everyday when i was feeling depressed and suicidal.
This will make your cry when Listening to this.. Read this and think of it in your mind: Korra and asami hold hands.. Walking to the portal.. Beautiful skies.. They hold both hands smiling.. And it shows up "The End"... I cry a lot.. ;-;
Agreed! I am gonna watch ATLA Book 1 to LOK Book 4 starting now! Or else, the reality that Avatar has ended will leave me incapacitated for days!! :'( #WeWantMoreAvatar #tearbending and, it'll be better if Bryke assuming they continue the Saga, do it on another channel!!
I miss this show so much. Woke up in the middle of the night and I just felt like listening to this tune. I can't believe it's over. I still can't get over this, really. To some of you it might sound really childish, but I am 24 and this show taught me more about life than any person I've ever encountered. God bless the creators, I can not imagine my life without Korra or Aang.
+Igor Trawinski I feel you. This show might not have taught me that much about life but as far as entertainment goes and feeling apart of the show, I felt like crying inside. People may pass this off as a kid show but its a true work of art. Good job creators
Tenzin: That doesn't seem like a good idea! The Korra: You want to sit with me for a minute? I'm not ready to get back to the party just yet. [Asami and Korra sit on the steps, looking out at Republic City] Korra: I don't think I ever really apologized. Asami: For what? Korra: For being gone all that time. For not coming back sooner. Asami: You don't have to apologize for anything. I'm just so happy you're here now. I don't think I could've handled losing you and my father in the same day. Korra: I am so sorry about what happened. [She leans in and hugs Asami] Asami: Thank you. I'm just glad I was able to forgive him. Korra: So, what now? Back to the dance floor? Asami: I'm kind of all danced out. Honestly, with everything that's happened the past few months, I could use a vacation. Korra: Let's do it! Let's go on a vacation, just the two of us. Anywhere you want. Asami: Really? Ok ... I've always wanted to see what the Spirit World is like. Korra: Sounds perfect.
When I watched the final episode the only word that I could think of was "perfect". This world has so much potential and so much more in it that can be told. It is sad to see the creators moving on and I can only hope that one day they add on whether it be more of Korra or to a new avatar. However this finale made me feel at peace with these characters and I am glad that there are such geniuses in the world that could make something like this. Best of luck to the creators of avatar in their future projects.
Fox Mcloud There is so much to explore in that universe. Especially now that the spirit world is completely open again. And I know that it can be hard to keep coming up with stories to fit into this universe. The one thing I would love to see is either a follow up on Korra in the future and/or the avatar after korra.
***** I just need a follow up on Korra, either in the series or in the comics. There are just to many questions unaswered and her beautiful character has so much potential left...
Oh my gosh. The last few beats, reminiscent of the first Avatar series, its like a finality, a conclusion. Thank you to the producers for making such a beautiful story for us all to journey through.
Thank you Aang! Thank you Korra! We've been through a lot, We cry, laugh, loved and grew together You both have a place in my heart forever! see you guys in your next life :')
kirbywinter You can hear the kalimba at that time, but that's not the "Avatar's Love" motif. Twili Vaati was right, the motif happens in the last bar of the score.
Just a quick reminder that Avatar started with a girl calling out her brother for his sexism and that Korra ended with two women falling in love Thank you, Mike and Bryan for such an incredible journey:)
This really did touch me (screw the haters) on an emotional level. seeing that the A;TLA was heart-warming, the music in LOK made the ending so perfect to me. I've re-watched this ending so many times, and the music gets me almost to tears, but this time it did. as I'm typing the out, my eyes are watering, and it not because it ended, it because of US, the fans. we made this show what it was, the emotional, building of characters, and seriousness when it was the point, of an episode and/or season (book 3). this ending song also made me remember the great thing a show like this can create, Memories that the show can give, memories that make you smile, laugh, get mad over, and cry over. the ones that create those memories are people like myself have remembered every episode from LOKB1, when everything is new, and we starting to hate the new avatar, but quickly change to liking her, because she was Different, and more like kids today. so most of us quickly jumped on board with our new character. remember those moments the show creates is amazing, being able to remember all the happy, or sad moments in the Whole avatar (T;TLA to LOK) series had created, sure will miss it, and demand more, but it we demand more, we destroy what the last series gave us, Closure. Closure gave us all we needed, sure we want a new avatar, but those memories that it gives us, need to be kept, and not forgotten when a new series comes along.
Shoutout to the people who can enjoy both series without trying to say which Avatar is better than the other. Both shows were beautiful and complimented each other nicely.
what is it about this show I can watch them both and each time I can come back and watch the hole series again and at the end I feel a big emptiness and sadness this show is so attaching and amazing and the songs make me very sad this is the best show on the goddamn planet
Baxneus i know there is a tightness in my throat and a pit in my stomach i cried in the last air bender episode! That never happened until that moment and has never happened since! They need to make a new one!
I can't believe they're not gonna make another avatar series :'( *I BLAME NICKELODEON!* Now I feel like there's like an empty space in my heart Korra really is a legend, she defeated The Equalists, Unalaq/Vaatu(the first dark avatar), The Red Lotus, Kuvira and she opened another spirit portal in the center of republic city
I did not realize this season was the last one until I saw the "the end " at the very end of the show I was shocked and deeply emotionally bitter sweet about it
I will always hold this show near and dear to my heart. Definitely one of my top favorite shows of all time, knocking ATLA and others down to 2nd and 3rd. It's really sad to know that the Avatar universe stops with Korra and it has ended. Thank you Bryke, it has been an incredible 10 year journey starting with ATLA at 6 all the way to finishing with Korra at 16. Taking me through childhood and nearing the end of my high school and teenage years, I feel like I have really grown up with Aang and Korra. And every other character in between. I literally cry every time I re-watch the last episode. It was a refreshing change to see a same sex couple displayed in the media... Which is why I feel Legend of Korra is one of the greatest and most inspiring tv shows of our time... Thank you, Bryke.
Barring your opinion of the nature of the ending involving romance... Korra was great, but there were a lot of elements that were missing from korra as to ATLA. Not necessarily bad, but the two shows are... Well... They're so different it's hard to say "I like this one better". At least for me it is. Though if I had to pick one it would be ATLA... Idk what they did but it seems like the character development is deeper.
jazminestryder i agree. i feel that Legend of Korra had a much darker... 'tone' to the show, compared to ATLA. I actually fell in love with the characters of ATLA more than LoK. But it definitely is harder to say which is better... With LoK, they had a new villain each book that tried to push their own ideology much too far, some of these dealt with some real life stuff too im sure.
I think it wise they ended the series when they did. All things must come to an end. It's a fact of life. And though letting go is hard, it's something we all have to learn how to do. Continuing the show would have run the risk of it overstaying its welcome. Korra's story on screen is over. Her arc is complete, so there is no need to continue the show. While Korra's story is being continued in the comics, her main narrative as a character has been fulfilled. It was simply time.
it is wonderful to see that even a kid show can compete against the adult shows with the incredible story and beutiful art style and so mutch more. This is simply the masterpiace.
Korra was a badass and people who think Aang was a better Avatar are simply butthurt or nostalgic.Aang didn't really change the world the way Korra did. She reunited spirits with humans, created the third spirit portal, defeated the dark avatar, won over the red lotus and made air nation a nation again. Aang destroyed firelord Ozai, ended the war and helped built a city. I am sorry, but Tenzin was right, Korra changed the world more in a shorter amount of time than most Avatars in their lifetime. None expected her to be this good, because how she was at the beginning, but she did exceed out expectations and will always stay my favourite.
at 2:43 - a bit of avatar’s love theme is playing which played whenever there was a soft moment between aang and katara, and the fact they played it at the end where korra and asami hold hands makes me cry every time :’))))) the start of their romantic relationship MY HEARTT
Man the massive clump in my stomach when this song starts playing. and the feeling that i wont have enough money to buy the comic books are killing me..
@@c.a.r1691 as a couple? *EXCUSE ME WTF* the writers never INTENDED to convey such messages, do y'all not now how Asian culture works? that's bonding ain't no coupling, fr yall western mind smh
Up at 6 AM, watching the sun rise, hearing this track after not hearing it for a long time ... this makes me remember the emotional and deep things in life, and makes me want cry over them. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that it found a pipeline to the left side of my chest.
TotalMadnessMan the music always gets to me, no matter what...gotta give props to Jeremy Zuckerman and the Track Team for creating beautiful and sentimental music ^__^
alot of people say that this show wasn't good or didn't love up to atla well it was it's own thing and redefined the series time and time agian and was probably better than any other cartoon show airing at this time
Sideswipe27 both series definitely were amazing, each with their own thing yet both equally memorable, I teared up so many times in TLOK, like when Toph shows up on screen or the face Zuko makes when he hears from his uncle through Korra. And ATLA was the one I grew up with so I love both series the same
NEVER SMOKE WEED AND LISTEN TO THIS MUSIC AT THE SAME TIME. I AM CRYING SO MUCH AND I CAN NOT STOP. I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH. I WILL NEVER STOP HAVING AVATAR IN MY HEART,
Yeah man I know the feeling. I watched the finale SUPER baked and I was just bawling my eyes out. Man my reaction when Korra & Asami held hands... let's just say I wish I got it on film lol.
Mitch T I WOULD HAVE CHOKED TO DEATH IF I WAS SMOKING AND WATCHING THE FINALE FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS SONG WILL ALWAYS REMIND OF THE WHOLE SERIES, JUST LIKE THE "BUILDING MODE" SONG FROM THE SIMS SOUNDTRACK REMINDS ME OF MY CHILDHOOD. I CAN NOT WAIT TO BE OLD, 60 AND LISTEN TO THAT SONG ONCE AGAIN AND REMEMBER HOW GOOD KORRA WAS AND HOW MUCH I WAS BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO WATCH THIS LIFECHANGING CARTOON.
tbh it was done rather poorly. Their characters are obviously unfit to be in a relationship since Korra keeps rejecting any, uh...let's say moves Asami makes, as well as Asami doesn't know enough about Korra to actually help her. The best example is Remembrances. Everytime Asami made a point, Korra had counter argument for it. It was Tenzin who's advice was able to help her. The ending made it seem like Asami was the one Korra could rely on, but if you actually added it up, she was there the least. Not to mention none of the interactions were romantic in the slightest, and Korra had a complete 180 degree turn of character to make it happen. I really, really wish i could go back and make sure they ended off on a note that better fit Korra's arc, like her going in the portal by herself, maybe have a Team Avatar ending.
@Nocktuk Daze ...I disagree. I think that there were many indications in their interactions that suggest something more than just a normal friendship. I noticed a shift during the car ride they took together (S3 E1) where Asami is teaching Korra how to drive. The two joke about their past relationships with Mako, and are able to move past it. Then Korra says "I’ve never had a girlfriend to hang out with and talk to before, except for Naga. This is nice." And they make eye contact for so long that they almost miss a giant vine in front of their car and nearly crash. To me, I see their casual friendship turning into a deeper one here. The next notable event for me was during the season 3 finale, when Asami is doing Korra's hair. The scene goes: "[close-up of her grabbing Korra’s hand] I want you to know that I’m here for you. If you ever want to talk [looks down] or…[looks up]….anything." This interaction to me shows that Asami cares deeply for Korra and her well-being. I would say that the hand holding can be seen as romantic. Imagine if Asami were a guy in that scene, and then I think you would see it differently. I also disagree with your point that Asami was there the least. In the first two seasons, sure, Korra and Asami had little interactions. But as I mentioned previously, I think this shifts in the first episode of season 3 since Mako is mostly out of the picture. In Remembrances, Asami is the first one who came to Korra's side to see if she was okay and talk to her. She even brings her tea because she thought she might be cold. Tenzin appears later on. And sure, Korra disagreed with what Asami had to say, but that does not at all mean that Asami can't be relied on. I think Korra trusts Asami and relies on her a lot. The best example of this can be seen when Korra goes away, and she chooses to only write to Asami. Korra writes: "Please don't tell Mako and Bolin I wrote to you and not them. I don't want to hurt their feelings, it's easier to tell you about this stuff." I think this is very significant. For three years, Korra only has contact with Asami because she feels closest to her. I again think that this is a romantic gesture, as it's comparable to writing love letters. One last example I'll mention of their romantic relationship is when Korra returns, and Asami compliments her on her hair. Korra blushes (and we don't see that very often..) and stammers out a compliment back. Again, I see this as a flirtatious interaction. All in all, I think Korra and Asami's relationship was well planned out. To me, it was Mako and Korra's relationship that felt rushed and uncalled for. Korra and Asami had many years to get to know each other, build a solid friendship, and then develop romantic feelings for one another. I agree with mskittykat1101, their relationship was very tastefully done. Also, if I may ask, what did you mean by " Korra keeps rejecting any, uh...let's say moves Asami makes..."?
Darci Morello I disagree because none of these interactions could be seen as romantic. Korra treated Asami like dirt in the first two seasons, and then Asami forgets about it? Doesn't once decide to call Korra out, doesn't give her a piece of her mind? Holy crap, this is insane. Ok, question, why? What reason would they have to look at each other that long? Nothing with relationships, but for the plot, because immediately after they hit the vine, a spirit gives Korra an idea. And if they were in growing, why didn't the show expand on that and *develop?* Not hint, develop and establish? I have no reason to think that stare meant love because the show was telling me this whole time they were enemies. The Naga part is really hard to believe since Asami is her first actually human female friend in her age group. That doesn't mean she's in love, it means she might've found a really good friend. Now, I can't take this seriously since you skipled all of Book 3 and went to the last episode of the season. That shows how inconsistent the build up is. As well as the fact that Korra was just poisoned and nearly killed. Caring about someone's well being doesn't mean she's in love, plenty of people throughout both shows cared about each others well bejng and weren't romantically involved at all. As well as its hard to take this as a Korrasami moment because Korra sat that staring into the void and didn't respond. Why? Because PTSD. It could be, but i have no reason to think that since the show never says they're into women or each other in a was everyone can understand. I meant *overall*, not just restricted to two seasons. The ending made it seem like Korra could lean on Asami when the actual show itself says otherwise. One conversation doesn't mean Korra can lean on Asami. See, the fact that Asami actually failed is a key moment here. Why? All you have to do is look at Book 2. One fight where Korra goes apeshiz is enough to have them breakup (and that fight in Reunion was *extremely* out of character). Trusts and relies on. What evidence do you have that Korra *willingly* trusts Asami? The problem is it was one letter in the course of three years, and it was written after two of them already passed. Plus, look at the letters. Mako couldn't write for his life and wrote a weather report, Bplin wasn't serious enough to give Korra what she needed, and Asami actually asked Korra how she was doing. Ok, show, don't tell. Now if this actually proves nothing of romance since the letter was just catching up on something, as well as the fact that Korra trusted Mako to go with her to the vines and to see Zaheer. These show she trusts certain friends with certain things, no romance involved. No it's not, because the letter itself wasn't romantic at all. It's also pretty unromantic to not reply to a letter after three years. *One compliment* doesn't prove jack, because waaay back in Book 1, she blushed at Bolin's compliment and she wasn't attracted to him, Toph blushed at Katara's compliment and she wasn't attracted to her either Blushing on its own isn't enough evidence of love, especially in Avatar. And to me, Korrasami was far too subtle and never established enough for it to actually make sense. Many years? They knew each other for over 4 years, and Korra was gone for three of them, as well as the fact that they still don't know enough about each other to actually be romantically involved. I mean Korra showed no signs of love towards Asami. The only two were the letter and the blush, but both of those counld be turned down easily.
+Nocktuk Daze This video was very helpful when looking back at all Korrasami interactions: vimeo.com/115373598. I would recommend watching it. Looking back, I realize that the show does only indicate that Korra only wrote Asami once while she was gone. I thought they wrote more frequently, so that was my mistake. However, as you said, Asami did actually ask about Korra's well-being. So when Korra needed someone to turn to, it makes sense that she went to Asami. In my opinion, Korra shared one of her deepest fears with Asami when she said "I worry I'll never fully recover." I think calling Korra's trust in Asami here unwilling would be a bit dramatic. Korra needed support, and like always Asami was there for her. In response to your "Korra treated Asami like dirt in the first two seasons" comment, I don't really see that at all. There was jealousy, sure, but they were never outright nasty to one another. Also, the jealousy was felt on both ends. Korra was jealous of Asami when they first met, and Asami was jealous of Korra once she found out Korra had liked Mako, and Mako started giving more attention to Korra. So I don't think Asami would have any reason to "call Korra out" since Korra never did anything extremely rude to her. Again, I think the car ride scene is significant because it marks the end of the two fighting over Mako, and the start of their friendship. They were seeing each other in a different light. Regardless of your argument concerning the blush, I still see it as flirtatious. You gave examples of other times characters blushed, but each circumstance is different. On the topic of what is considered to be love, I think we'll just have to disagree on that. I know that for me, one way to show I love someone is to care about them. To worry about their well being and wonder if they need any support. Love to me does not always come in the form of physical affection. This is primarily what I see between Korra and Asami. And by no means am I saying that Korra and Asami were in love through out the entire show. In the show, I see their relationship first being built on jealousy. Then, it changes into a friendship. Then they become very close friends. In the end of the series, I think they are acknowledging that they have feelings, deeper than just friendship, for one another. No one can say exactly what happened when they were in the spirit world, but I would say it's likely that they explored those feelings. Maybe at that time, they went from having a crush on one another to being in love. But no one can say for sure how much they liked each other at the end. That's the thing about this ending, its a little ambiguous. I'm going to end now (and likely not reply again because I don't think this argument can go much further) with a quote from Bryan Konietzko regarding Korrasami: "I love how their relationship arc took its time, through *kindness* and *caring*. If it seems out of the blue to you, I think a second viewing of the last two seasons would show that perhaps you were looking at it only through a hetero lens."
Darci Morello Interactions don't mean they're in love. If that were the case, literally every fan ship was fair game because they interacted. I never onced mentioned that from what i can remember, but the feeling was mutual. Asami cared about Korra, but she never returned the favor. Most of their interactions were Korra waiting for Asami to do something and for some outside force to get them together, which is out of character, and makes it harder to believe Korra fell for Asami. That was a deep fear, yes, once again, just look at the other letters. As well as the fact that if that sign holds weight, then the fact that she trusted Mako to go with her to the spirit wilds, and to go with Zaheer and actually face her deepest fear holds just as if not more weight than the letter. Asami was there for her? Yes, yelling at someone for giving you really good advice is definitely being there for someone, and Asami never once mentioned the letter after Reunion. Because kissing your "friend's" boyfriend while she's still with him definitely isn't treating her like dirt. The start, ok, but it was still laughable. And they never decided to expand on this at all. That's because the letter and the blush are the biggest signs, and it's hard to make it means something when blushing, especially in Avatar, doesn't always mean love. Jealousy, friends, close, lovers with what little development Asami had, with what little screentime, little development of each their sexuality? It's extremely hard to take your statement seriously when it they spent little time on key moments and factors, and overall actual development. If they actually had a crush on each other, Korra would've acknowledged it. She would've told someone about it and asked what to do, she isn't a subtle person. I don't know enough about Asami to know what she would do. And in response to those hetero lens, an LGBT ally actually rewatched the entire show with an open mind towards all the possibilities of each pairing (Borra, Makorra, Korrasami), and she still didn't see it because it was poorly developed. It's Bryke's fault for not giving me a reason to think they're anything more. He failed his duty as a writer. I'll end it off on a quote: "You know the old saying a joke's not funny if you have to explain it? In that same vein, a writer can't take credity for something if he has to explain it."
I highly doubt that's on purpose. Artists use complementary colors to achieve overall harmony in an artistic piece all the time. Yellow is the focus of attention here (the portal) so Purple is used to balance that (Purple and Yellow are complementary colors). You throw in a couple of Analogous colors too (such as Red and Blue) in order to achieve further harmony and you got what you see in the picture. :]
I can´t believe this amazing show is over. The amount of feelings i got from it is indescribable. I remember watching ATLA as a kid and absolutely loving it. This gave me so many memories of that time. In my opinion a good show is a show that leaves you with memories. LOK has given me memories that I will never forget. Memories that make me laugh and smile. This show has affected all of my feelings, both good and bad ones. This show is not only about war between nations, it´s about love, friendship, hope, sacrifices, success, motivation and accepting yourself as who you are.
I am happy that the creators has moved on and I think it was a good thing since they were probably outburned of making legend of korra, but I can not let go of this series, I have such fond memories of The last airbender and this from my childhood and when I learned it would not be anymore Avatar probably ever I got this big clump in my stomach and I have kinda got a bit depressed, it's so hard to take goodbye of these characters that it feels like you have got to know as you are on of their friends. I wish the creators good luck and hope for the best with these sad feelings that I have. You had a good run avatar, i hope you will come again. Would be awesome to see an earth avatar aswell as a fire avatar series. Just keep your hopes up... I guess I'll listen to this song a million times and cry.. I might be the only one feeling this way but, I am really sad that it's over I dont know why. I dont feel like this usually when series i like ends.
Me when first saw Korrasami:".....well that looked gay." After some thought: "naw, it's just sistersly love." Korrasami confirmed: "nuuuuu Korra can't be GAY!! WHY!? 2 hours later: "meh, who cares?" I'm very complicated... XD
Nocktuk Daze *_Bisexual_* though, not gay, since neither of them had any qualms about dating Mako before. It seems that both Korra and Asami had initially thought of themselves as _straight_ in Books 1 and 2 (when they were still teenagers with changing hormones), but first began having seconds thoughts by Book 3, since Kora and Asami were gradually developing romantic feelings for each other, even if they weren't ready to admit them, even to themselves.... However, by the time of their reunion in Book 4, Korra and Asami were already pretty much full-fledged adults, with Korra being 21, and Asami 22 years old. By this point in time, both of them were considerably more mature than before, and would have been much more sure about their respective sexual preferences. They seemed to have fully come to terms with their own bisexuality, and their romantic feelings would become somewhat more obvious (with Korra trusting Asami more than Mako or Bolin; Korra actually _blushing_ after Asami complimented her hair; and Korra calling Asami "sweet" for bringing her a cup of tea). However, due to the threat of Kuvira's Earth Empire, the atmosphere never would have felt right for them to admit their feelings to each other right then and there. Hence, they would only get to do so at the very end - silently acknowledging their mutual feelings through one tender glance, without uttering a single word... Hence, with all of that in mind, it would seem logical to me that Korra and Asami are bisexual. I think that by doing so, the series avoided the error of assuming sexual orientation, as many other TV series make it seem that there is such a strict divide between "gay" and "straight." Being bisexual myself, I will admit that making Korrasami happen was the best Christmas present I could have hoped for... I simply cannot say enough good things about that final scene! :))))
Samuel Savary Seriously... Why can't you people simply show some tolerance, and judge people based on their morality, traits, and behavior, instead of only their sexual orientation?! Must you really spew all that narrow-minded poison? :(((
Samuel Savary Well, at the end of the day, you're only making yourself sound ignorant, hate-ridden, and rather arrogant as well, I might add! :((( Also, I''m bisexual, not gay. But I get the feeling that it wouldn't change your attitude, since you appear to hate all non-heterosexuals...
Every now and then I come here to listen to this ,to keep the spirit of korra alive in me ,to feel the emotion that i used to get when i watched the show.... and it scares me that such a beautiful series will be lost in the sea of animation ,i wished more people had watched it coz there are very few people with whom i can share this feeling of emptiness.. I will show this series to my children in future to keep the spirit of korra alive in the next generation 💕 Ps. Sorry for my bad English
there was no movie. it was an illusion they have yet to make an avatar movie. there is no way that they could have made such a horrible movie and thus the only other explanation is a hallucination
preach! I just hope that one day someone with an actual brain in their skull ad who actually knows and cares about the show will come along and make an avatar movie so amazingly perfect that it will completely wipe all memory of shamalamadingdong's monstrosity from the fans minds and we'll have a movie we actually deserve. and I don't think that's too much to ask because at this point, anything is better than the hellspawn that we were given.
Why compress an entire season into a single two hour film, though? We already have so much well made content it would be redundant to make another original based off what we have unless it were a continuation of what's been made.
This show will forever have a very special place in my heart. Korra's journey and growth is probably one of the reasons why I'm still alive today. For a long time, I was severely depressed, not knowing what's wrong with me and why I couldn't just be happy and enjoy life. I hated myself and was very angry, without knowing why or how to get rid of it. Korra's hot-headedness early on and then seeing her being broken & almost destroyed by depression.. but then finding herself, her place in the world and gaining new strength, all helped me so much. I learned that I'm trans, which made my anger disappear, after carrying it around for so many years. I became a better, more compassionate & confident person and am happier than I've ever been. I wish I could give a hug to every single person who worked on The Legend of Korra. Thank you ❤
I would be so mad if they're going to stick to their usual "we're not going to release this soundtrack" mentality. I'm still waiting for Book 2 and 3. It's not the creator's fault though, Nick holds the rights to it. -_-
Indeed. Imagine: rather than the fans going to the creator's website or something like youtube to listen to it for free, they might have given money to Nick instead for a proper soundtrack. We're basically offering to throw them money and they still don't want any of it.
Starting at. 0:49, just that music that is so unique to the Avatar universe really tugs at the emotions. It makes me so sad to see the creators leave this universe, I hope they return to it in a few years.
Jeremy Zuckerman I love you
Jeremy Zuckerman That comment made me cry even more 😭😭😭😭
Jeremy Zuckerman Thank you
When you hit your lowest point, You are open to the greatest change
I miss this series so much it's so sad to see it go
I know, it took me awhile to get onto watching something else
I hope they make a third avatar
I hope so too, but Korra will always be my favorite :3
+ChaosLuna yea idk why so many people had mixed feelings.
As Roku once said to Aang...
"When love is real, it finds a way. And being the Avatar doesn't hurt your chances with the ladies either."
Lion_Turtle yup
If they ever make a new series, this needs to play when the new Avatar meets the spirit of Korra for the first time. Punch us right in the feels.
Don't think there will be a new Avatar since they said they don't want to ruin the Avatar series. But maybe they shall change their minds haha ...
Not unless Nick sells the rights to someone. Because we all know thats who would ruin it with their yo-yo dickery
fuck nickelodeon!
I hope they make a movie but get a good director
I really wish they might though and I want to see Korra again as a spirit
We have all entered the void now, my friends.
Not me. This show will be in my memories. I'll never enter the void.
what void?
Shari Paclipan season 3 reference. That silly philosophical nonsense that Zaheer kept talking about
aricente ikr. I wish he would quit with that philosophical mumbo jumbo. Dang...
Nocktuk Daze well, what with the show being over....
😢😭I MISS THIS SERIES GOODBYE AANG AND KORRA😭
I also miss the series 😭😭 but they Maybe gonna to tho more series.... I hope so
By the time now he will not make another avatar , but in the future he will....I hope so..
+Alexxrr Stories Don't worry. It is coming.
+Bryan O'Neill I hope it will....I'm always thinking about it....I might make a fan made cartoon 😊
+Bryan O'Neill really another? i want ittt!!!!
"If you look for the light, you can often find it. But if you look for the dark, that is all you will ever see." ~Uncle Iroh
This show has inspired me in many ways and I can't thank Bryan and Michael enough for creating this show that became a big part of my childhood, and my adulthood.
That's same for me.
Yeah so deep. Thats sarcasm. It panders off his dialogue with Aang in Book 2 where aang is conflicted(something characters do when they let their flaws contradict objective goals) about choosing love over power
Crossfurr Darius Coatl
Pretty much.
@MinecraftRick even if they continue this, Korra won't be there, and it makes me shiver more
I just finished this show and couldn't put my finger on the range of emotions i was feeling. These are the words. I couldn't have put it better myself.
Same here.
Depends.
That bright a** light is gonna be really inconvenient when the residents of Republic City try to get some sleep.
Curtains are a thing you know; ever lived in a city?
I think getting used to far more spirits than before will be a bigger concern. ; )
they need to build a switch for the portal. or set up a curfew for the spirits :)
I'm so sad that it's over
***** they never said they were officially done with it :) so there's still hope that one day, they come back to this amazing world they created
Lalisa T the one concern I have is ideas. They might have a ton, but use those other shows. Or it might just not fit the Avatar universe.
Nocktuk Daze yes to all that ^__^ but for now, a break it is LOL...what is your idea for a sequel?
aaaaand i am tearbending. i need more avatar in my life...
Krisha Actually i too
Well you can kiss that pipe dream out the window as long as nickdick has any say in the matter...
L L they don't Netflix does
Tyron Wells What are you talking about? The avatar series is licensed by nickdick It doesnt matter if its on "Netflix" Its still owned by nickdick so therefore you are never getting another sequal until nickdick releaves its rights too it. That is why im confused on why cnw didnt take it...
ho doesn't
0:00 - 1:15 Slowly realizing that this is the end of the story.
1:16 - 2:15 Silently remembering the wonderful world that's been built and stories that have been told in it
2:16 - 2:41 Remembering all the fantastic characters that took part in this long story.
Thank you Mike, Bryan, Jeremy, and everyone else that worked on these shows.
just a perfect comment. i can't describe this track better than you!
Best Comment Ever.
Thank you lion turtle :,)
Well said. I agree with you because I also really enjoy watching these shows over and over again. They may be over, but they won't be over for me until I die.
perfect ❤
my only disappointment is that we never got to see the fire nation, i always thought it looked beautiful
I know...and I can't believe Firelady Izumi only got one line...
Feelsbadman
***** IKR
***** but we saw so much of it in A:TLA, it was indeed beautiful
+Joylovecity That's the reason, because we saw so much of it in the last airbender.
+Twili Vaati There's always the comics.
"Excuse me Tenzin, Varrick is looking for you. Something about wanting to borrow a glider suit to fly off the tower?"
And at that moment, the Korrasami fandom exploded.
Ey. At don't really don't ship them so much but w.e. I was hoping for Bolin to cockblock at that moment 😂
iamnotlying89102 That's why Joseph said "Korrasami fandom" not everyone.
im not saying its a bad thing but why do so many people want korrasami to be a thing?
k onan Maybe because it's much different to what we're used to seeing in animated shows? And because Korra has been a vastly different show than Last Airbender, would make sense to go the extra mile.
Tenzin's "oh noes!" expression as he ran off was almost comically exagerrated, and Asami's downcast eyes and awkward delivery of her lie makes me think that Tenzin knew that he was being 'gotten rid of", but he understood at least some of what was going on and that Asami wanted some time alone with Korra.
One day, I'll show these shows to my kids
+Th. Noatak Kids usually become teenagers or young adults given enough time so that should work itself out.
+K. Rahimi nice one
Me too ,I will never let this show die it will be remembered for the next generations
me too
me too
i still have so much to learn
Dude why would you quote that line? *quiet sobbing*
we never stop learning
preach
Daniel Crecca I wish we could've still learned with her :'(
They're still comics
"I spoke to president Raiko. Tomorrow he's announcing a plan to expand the city, rather than rebuild downtown."
"I bet Aang never could have imagined a spirit portal in the heart of Republic City."
"Korra, you've transformed the world more in a few years than most Avatars did during their lifetimes."
"But I feel like I've only just begun. There's so much more I wanna learn."
"You don't know how happy I am to hear you so full of hope again!"
"Its been a bit of a bumpy ride huh?"
"I've come to realize life is one big bumpy ride."
"I know I was in a dark place after I was poisoned, but I finally understand why I had to go through all of that. I needed to understand what true suffering was, so I could become more compassionate to others. Even to people like Kuvira."
"Excuse me, Tenzin! Varrick is looking for you. Something about wanting to borrow a glider suit to fly off the top of the tower."
"WHAT!? That doesn't sound like a good idea!"
"Wanna sit with me for a bit? I'm not quite ready to get back to the party."
"I don't think I ever really apologized to you."
"For what?"
"For being gone all that time. For not coming back sooner."
"You don't need to apologize for anything. I'm just so happy you're here. I don't think I could've handled losing you and my father in the same day."
"I am so sorry about what happened!"
"Thank you. I'm just glad I was able to forgive him."
"So, what now? Back to the dance floor?"
"I'm kind of all danced out. Honestly, after everything that's happened in the past few months, I could use a vacation."
"Lets do it! Lets go on a vacation, just the two of us. Anywhere you want!"
"Really? Okay. I've always wanted to see what the spirit worlds like."
"Sounds perfect!"
I just love this scene!
FEELS FEELS FEELS
+JSpiker178 They make such a beautiful couple don't they?
+tokka af I loveeee youu 😭😭 PS . I just had to say that to someone...
kurrasumi . . etfadguwd
When you hear the little Atla theme at the end 😭
EXACTLY 💓💓
Jono the savage Thats specifically a peice of "The Avatar's Love" which is Aang and Katara's theme and notably plays in its full form only once at the end of ATLA for the balcony scene.
At 1:42 you can hear it aswell 💖
I applaud Jerry Zukerman for making one of the best score EVER!!
Yeah! Show may have some holes but this soundtrack might be even better than the original!
Jeremy Zuckerman*
Hays Collins this is probably the best music in all avatar soundtrack at least for me
the genius of Jeremy Zuckerman: the show started with just using the Ehru, the violin-esque sound. as she came closer and closer to truly becoming the avatar, and connecting with the other avatars, the kalimba, thumb piano sound from ATLA, slowly starts playing faintly. in this song, the final scene, both are blended to create an amazing beautiful score to show that korra has finally become the avatar.
princessthyemis
SOME holes?
It was something greater than a a few holes.
A black hole maybe?
But the music was so beautiful it brought me to TEARS
I am grateful for that
2 years and I still cry to the first 5 seconds. This show changed me in ways I never would've imagined T.T
Edit: 2018 update, still cried. Soundtrack too good T_T
totally agree
MellowSquash Same. I completely agree. I love this show so much
MellowSquash i totally agree. This show changed my life. After this i looked positive on everything. In every dark you can find a light.

Absolutely.
"...Toph?"
"Good to see you, Twinkle Toes."
this summer i watched avatar the last airbender for the first time and completely fell in love. i was so sad it was over but then started watching korra and realized it wasn't for the time being.. i fell in love once again and cried so much. especially when it was over. this song literally makes me bawl my eyes out. i miss it already. it was my happy place and helped me everyday when i was feeling depressed and suicidal.
i heard they weren't worth it. but i'm going to look into them.
Kylie Calliope dont worry they are doing a new series it will be released on 2017 june
back in live action
@@no0orevenge106 no hhh
They're unfortunately behind a steeper paywall, but there are Avatar and Korra comics. They're mostly really good.
This will make your cry when Listening to this.. Read this and think of it in your mind:
Korra and asami hold hands.. Walking to the portal.. Beautiful skies..
They hold both hands smiling.. And it shows up "The End"...
I cry a lot.. ;-;
I said the same thing, this song makes you feel like you should cry!
Yeah ;-;
It's literally just like when ATLA ended. its so magical ;-;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
I cried atleast 10 times
I miss this show so much. Woke up in the middle of the night and I just felt like listening to this tune. I can't believe it's over. I still can't get over this, really. To some of you it might sound really childish, but I am 24 and this show taught me more about life than any person I've ever encountered. God bless the creators, I can not imagine my life without Korra or Aang.
Igor Trawinski Same with me I always come back to this ever once in a while, because I miss it.
+Igor Trawinski You are not alone! my journey into enlightenment was partly sparked by Avatar: TLAB.
+Igor Trawinski I agree. I truly agree. This series has touched my heart in so many ways. I just cant believe such artists could do such thing.
+Igor Trawinski I feel you. This show might not have taught me that much about life but as far as entertainment goes and feeling apart of the show, I felt like crying inside. People may pass this off as a kid show but its a true work of art. Good job creators
+Igor Trawinski i cri evrytim too :((
'Excuse me, Tenzin? Varrick is looking for you. Something about wanting to borrow a glider suit to fly off the tower?'
Tenzin: That doesn't seem like a good idea!
The Korra: You want to sit with me for a minute? I'm not ready to get back to the party just yet.
[Asami and Korra sit on the steps, looking out at Republic City]
Korra: I don't think I ever really apologized.
Asami: For what?
Korra: For being gone all that time. For not coming back sooner.
Asami: You don't have to apologize for anything. I'm just so happy you're here now. I don't think I could've handled losing you and my father in the same day.
Korra: I am so sorry about what happened. [She leans in and hugs Asami]
Asami: Thank you. I'm just glad I was able to forgive him.

Korra bending the spirit energy to save Kuvira is such a powerful moment. And that's from a very hot-headed avatar
I was like "FUCKIN YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Did you know that the word "perfect" is actually the last word spoken in both series ATLA and LOK?
Ivan Williams omg... I looked up the last scene of atla to confirm this and I just wanna cry now... PERFECT!
***** Well, Toph herself said in episode 04x10 that Katara can't really bend that well anymore, since she's 90...
Fox Mcloud There is so much to explore in that universe. Especially now that the spirit world is completely open again. And I know that it can be hard to keep coming up with stories to fit into this universe. The one thing I would love to see is either a follow up on Korra in the future and/or the avatar after korra.
*****
I just need a follow up on Korra, either in the series or in the comics. There are just to many questions unaswered and her beautiful character has so much potential left...
Oh my gosh. The last few beats, reminiscent of the first Avatar series, its like a finality, a conclusion.
Thank you to the producers for making such a beautiful story for us all to journey through.
Safe return! 😢😢
The ATLA reference at the very end of the song always kills me 😭
Yep, it's the song that always played at the end of an episode when they escaped on appa and right before Katara and Aang kissed. :'(

I've seen your comments on other videos lol
Renee Nealis Well I am a Avatar SuperFan after all XD
You're the only positive ALTA fan that doesn't say rude things about Korra
*bows down*
Beezinthetrap Nicki I respect Korra for what it is. I love Avatar and the Korra series was Awesome :)
Your profile picture doesn't fit with your feelings, man. XD
at 2:54 you hear the smallest bit of the avatars love theme from the last airbender, T_T
Stop making me cry, you tearbender!
Actually it starts long before that. At 1:48, if you listen closely it's the Avatar's Love really slowed down in the background
kirbywinter You can hear the kalimba at that time, but that's not the "Avatar's Love" motif. Twili Vaati was right, the motif happens in the last bar of the score.
Scratch that, you hear it at 1:41, but it most definitely is the motif, only with the rests between the notes being a lot longer
Just a quick reminder that Avatar started with a girl calling out her brother for his sexism and that Korra ended with two women falling in love
Thank you, Mike and Bryan for such an incredible journey:)
+Fox Mcloud Sexism saves the world? XD
+Lunare Crepuscular Logically.... Sokka pretty much saved the world if you think about it.
Adam Stewart THE KARMA OF THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!!
+Lunare Crepuscular Pretty much
+Taylor Allen O.O Ow! That's true! Avatar was a great series. It's changed my history and the way I see the world.
I'M NOT CRYING
iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii don't belive u
Sam Muis you are...shut upp😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭
I don't care
YOU'RE CRYING, I'M NOT!
no you're tearbending :)
The same with me. I keep replaying the ending on high volume and I never get over it. The feels are too strong.
I think this is one of my fav soundtracks from the whole series aside from the Korra Alone soundtrack
Tyler Ferguson Goddam that essay
Tyler Ferguson I would have loved some closure for other characters, also closure that made sense would be nice.
The music is beautiful...
This _scene_ was beautiful...
The Legend of Korra is beautiful!
*LGBT REPRESENTATION IS BEAUTIFUL*
No way
YES
TheOneAndOnlyLuc yes to what?
To what the comment was about lol
Some Guy oh
So what LGBT representation was there...?
I don't care, i love Korra as much as i love Aang
Armen Serdaigle I love korra more
Armen Serdaigle No, I forbid it! *hint sarcasm*
I love her more :>
The problem is, Aang is gone from Avatar's spirit, which made her the worst Avatar but i still like her than Aang
Darth Prime she starts the new era Avatars. When she passes the new avatar will only have her for guidance.
Shoutout to the people who can enjoy both series without trying to say which Avatar is better than the other. Both shows were beautiful and complimented each other nicely.
Thank you for your reasonable comment! It's not a competition, both shows are wonderful in their different ways.
The development spiritually and emotionally Korra has had throughout the show is incredible.
2:43 ... Thats the point where I broke down
Selina Leticia i think thats the point where everybody breaks down, its overwhelming :,D
alex Loss i already broke down at 0:49 ...
Selina Leticia You lasted a while
Selina Leticia Exact same
Stijn Zant Emotionally at 0:05 for me.
I promised myself i would not cry....but i just can't help myself. this is so beautiful
what is it about this show I can watch them both and each time I can come back and watch the hole series again and at the end I feel a big emptiness and sadness this show is so attaching and amazing and the songs make me very sad this is the best show on the goddamn planet
Baxneus i know there is a tightness in my throat and a pit in my stomach i cried in the last air bender episode! That never happened until that moment and has never happened since! They need to make a new one!
H dude TV I think that they are or they should just to finish the two cycles
The fable games by Lionhead studios also has e loads and loads of replay value
I feel you.
Couldn't agree more...
I can't believe they're not gonna make another avatar series :'( *I BLAME NICKELODEON!*
Now I feel like there's like an empty space in my heart
Korra really is a legend, she defeated The Equalists, Unalaq/Vaatu(the first dark avatar), The Red Lotus, Kuvira and she opened another spirit portal in the center of republic city
Kawaii Potato We'll always remember Korra and her friends.
Comics will likely come out like they did with avatar
Yeah. ATLA: Smoke and Shadow trilogy. I'll get to see more of Zuko and Azula
Kawaii Potato I'm hoping to see some sort of redemption story between Azula and Zuko.
William Shanks When I was watching LoK, I was hoping to see a descendant of Azula that has a fire with different color
Both ATLA and LOK had amazing soundtracks. I think the LOK soundtrack was more emotional though.
Leaves from the vine, The Final Agni Kai, Safe Return and Finale: Am I a joke to you?
I did not realize this season was the last one until I saw the "the end " at the very end of the show I was shocked and deeply emotionally bitter sweet about it
I miss this show soo much...
Avatar Roku I need my own show.
Avatar Roku I'm avatar Roku not you.😐
we all do
I will always hold this show near and dear to my heart.
I agree. Here's to potentially another Avatar series somewhere down the line *holds wine glass*
beautifully said
So much true words. Have a bazillion cookies. With double-choc!
With LoK, they had a new villain each book that tried to push their own ideology much too far, some of these dealt with some real life stuff too im sure.
they need to bring back Korra fuck Nick can't Netflix fund them so we can get are beloved show back
i've heard rumours netflix are making a new one themselves as a netflix original
saitama black goku On July 2017 there will be a comic book on Avatar the legend of Korra which continues the story
It was simply time.
sunburst223 You're right
saitama black goku That black goku pic tho
Happy third anniversary to the finale of The Legend of Korra, and to Korra and Asami!
it is wonderful to see that even a kid show can compete against the adult shows with the incredible story and beutiful art style and so mutch more.
Igor Trawinski I think both avatars did what they could do in the end is for the good of humanity
Igor Trawinski aangs the reason everythings the way it is.
well, when you want to make a sequel you would make sure it would top the original. that's why Korra had more challenges.
Korras a better avatar aangs a bad avatar
There’s four spirit portals at the end actually there’s a third spirit portal teachically the banyan grove tree is a spirit portal
Erhus just make everything better.
YAS. want more Erhus? Go watch Yona of the Dawn, they have alot if OST with erhus. like, Peacful Days in Kouka Kingdom. :D
Thanks!
np!
Agreed. If I could learn one instrument, it would be the erhu.
+Gillian Sanders Then do it! O:
it's like, as I listen to this.. the memories of the 2 series drift away on a leaf and I'm left with the beauty of the music
Just imagine hearing this in a live orchestra... MAGIC
Regardless on how you feel about the ending, I think we can all agree this soundtrack is beautiful.
at 2:43 - a bit of avatar’s love theme is playing which played whenever there was a soft moment between aang and katara, and the fact they played it at the end where korra and asami hold hands makes me cry every time :’))))) the start of their romantic relationship MY HEARTT
I need a 100 hour loop of this
You can right-click on the video and press "repeat" :)
Fedtenix true, but I want to listen to this while 'falling asleep' ;))
+Lana Rose oml same 😂

Who's still in love? 😍
Me
Not one soundtrack has stirred my emotions as much as this. It's like helping me produce more serotonin.
It's been how long since the show ended? Two years? Doesn't matter, I've just listened to this piece, again, and I'm crying so much.
Its been 5 years and i still come here to get blessed

Man the massive clump in my stomach when this song starts playing. and the feeling that i wont have enough money to buy the comic books are killing me..
+Wille Granroth Now that is a genuine answer!
You can always find free downloads on the internet.
Tbh, for me the emotion behind this music is similar to LOTR with the grey havens. They're both about saying goodbye
the last ten years of this series will be timeless and I will never forget.
this song is so beautiful that it's making me tearbend..
The Prettiest smile, hides the dipest secrets...
The Prettiest eyes, shed the most tears...
The kindest Hearts, felt the most pain...
:')
Gianvincy You're basically describing Asami/Korra. I love them so much, as a couple, and as friends
@@c.a.r1691 as a couple?
*EXCUSE ME WTF* the writers never INTENDED to convey such messages, do y'all not now how Asian culture works? that's bonding ain't no coupling,
fr yall western mind smh
strong122 no sweetie, it’s been confirmed canon by the creators themselves 😂😂💀💀
strong122 looks like someone hasn’t read the comics lol. You’re in for a big wake up call
Up at 6 AM, watching the sun rise, hearing this track after not hearing it for a long time ... this makes me remember the emotional and deep things in life, and makes me want cry over them. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that it found a pipeline to the left side of my chest.
This music makes me sad😢
makes me tear up but happy at the same time...it's so bittersweet
Lalisa T You have to cry with a smile on the face :')
TotalMadnessMan so hard though... but I'll try ;}....
Lalisa T I managed it..somehow. The second (and many more) times Korra brought me to tears. :')
TotalMadnessMan the music always gets to me, no matter what...gotta give props to Jeremy Zuckerman and the Track Team for creating beautiful and sentimental music ^__^
One of the best soundtracks I've ever listened to.
So do i
This song... and Avatars love ... will always hit me with the feels 😭😭😭
I broke the replay button. Seriously, it won't work anymore. I think the constant tears from my eyes may have broken my computer.
a bit late but, if you right click the video, you can loop it! ;)
This is a true masterpiece.
+Calle Zekic stop.......just stop *cries*
So much has changed since this show has ended…crazy how life goes. Hope everyone is going strong!
alot of people say that this show wasn't good or didn't love up to atla well it was it's own thing and redefined the series time and time agian and was probably better than any other cartoon show airing at this time
in terms of addressing today's social and political issues and delivering top quality animation I'd say in most aspects ur correct
Sideswipe27 atla and TLOK are good but ATLA has best storyline
Sideswipe27 both series definitely were amazing, each with their own thing yet both equally memorable, I teared up so many times in TLOK, like when Toph shows up on screen or the face Zuko makes when he hears from his uncle through Korra. And ATLA was the one I grew up with so I love both series the same
I agree!
ikr
Gosh, my allergies are really playing up today...
Hits me every...damn...time. The first notes just pull you in and fill you with feels.
Lmao you guys. #relatable
Korra and Asami was very tastefully done. Also explains why neither put up any girl fights when they dated the SAME guy LOL
tbh it was done rather poorly.
*One compliment* doesn't prove jack, because waaay back in Book 1, she blushed at Bolin's compliment and she wasn't attracted to him, Toph blushed at Katara's compliment and she wasn't attracted to her either
Blushing on its own isn't enough evidence of love, especially in Avatar.
I'm going to end now (and likely not reply again because I don't think this argument can go much further) with a quote from Bryan Konietzko regarding Korrasami:
"I love how their relationship arc took its time, through *kindness* and *caring*.
I'll end it off on a quote:
"You know the old saying a joke's not funny if you have to explain it? In that same vein, a writer can't take credity for something if he has to explain it."
The way that this song blends both the music from Korra and The last airbender IS GENIUS
Everyone look at the the colours in the mountains ... than google the bisexual flag ...... peace out .....
Holy shit
I highly doubt that's on purpose. Artists use complementary colors to achieve overall harmony in an artistic piece all the time. Yellow is the focus of attention here (the portal) so Purple is used to balance that (Purple and Yellow are complementary colors). You throw in a couple of Analogous colors too (such as Red and Blue) in order to achieve further harmony and you got what you see in the picture. :]
kit
Well they couldn't chose a better time not to do on purpose, to chose those specific 3 colours , considering the situation .... lol ...
"You're killing me, Spongebob...You really are."
gasp!
I think and believe it is not over just sign the petition on change.org
I remember when I told my friends about legend of Korra. They said they hated that show. I was like who the fuck are you?!?
These last few notes at 2:55 hit me right in the nostalgia.
They likely will continue korra in comic book form like they did with avatar
Yeah, I kinda thought that, allthough it's not the same thing. But I'll gladly take those comics and hope they'll be as lovely as the series was.
Wille Granroth Agree. I just think LOK didn't have a lot of time, so i hope they make up for it in the comics.
I fully agree. Even though it had more seasons it only had like two thirds of the episodes as ATLA. I fully hope they will make up for it :)
2/3? The last air bender had 60 episodes, the legend of Korra had 52
Aww, Korrasami... I was SO incredible happy to have it confirmed as true! :))) ♥ ♥ ♥
Me when first saw Korrasami:".....well that looked gay."
After some thought: "naw, it's just sistersly love."
Korrasami confirmed: "nuuuuu Korra can't be GAY!! WHY!?
2 hours later: "meh, who cares?" I'm very complicated... XD

*_Bisexual_* though, not gay, since neither of them had any qualms about dating Mako before.
I think that by doing so, the series avoided the error of assuming sexual orientation, as many other TV series make it seem that there is such a strict divide between "gay" and "straight."
Being bisexual myself, I will admit that making Korrasami happen was the best Christmas present I could have hoped for... I simply cannot say enough good things about that final scene! :))))
Samuel Savary
Take your homophobic ass someplace else!
Samuel Savary
Seriously... Why can't you people simply show some tolerance, and judge people based on their morality, traits, and behavior, instead of only their sexual orientation?!
Must you really spew all that narrow-minded poison? :(((
Samuel Savary
Well, at the end of the day, you're only making yourself sound ignorant, hate-ridden, and rather arrogant as well, I might add! :((( Also, I''m bisexual, not gay. But I get the feeling that it wouldn't change your attitude, since you appear to hate all non-heterosexuals...
WHY IS THIS NOT ON SPOTIFY ?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?
Every now and then I come here to listen to this ,to keep the spirit of korra alive in me ,to feel the emotion that i used to get when i watched the show.... and it scares me that such a beautiful series will be lost in the sea of animation ,i wished more people had watched it coz there are very few people with whom i can share this feeling of emptiness.. I will show this series to my children in future to keep the spirit of korra alive in the next generation 💕
Ps. Sorry for my bad English
2:18 forward I can't stand the feels :'(

How they managed to combine this with the ending credits and The Avatar's Love... for the ending and for love... it just T.T Genius.
this deserves a movie... ( animated movie of course)
It would for sure be better than m nights movie
there was no movie. it was an illusion they have yet to make an avatar movie. there is no way that they could have made such a horrible movie and thus the only other explanation is a hallucination
We already have so much well made content it would be redundant to make another original based off what we have unless it were a continuation of what's been made.
wolfhater92 The “movie” was just a warning given to us by those in the Spirit World.
Well I guess I can fly now because I no longer have any earthly attachments.
*cries*
they upgraded this song so beautifully♥
It really lets me know that Korra......is sadly over!!!
*tears*
Thank you ❤
This theme is so beautiful. It seriously gives me chills every time hear it
i hope the creators make a soundtrack and make it available to buy... i would buy it.
Thomas Cahyuti I would literally pay for those soundtracks >.>...they could even profit from all of this but nope!...still don't get the message ....
Starting at. 0:49, just that music that is so unique to the Avatar universe really tugs at the emotions. It makes me so sad to see the creators leave this universe, I hope they return to it in a few years.
Andrew Christie I’ve heard a similar tune in “oogway ascends” Kung foo pandas track I believe
It's not a tune... It's an erhu. Basically a two stringed Chinese violin (yes only 2 strings and it can do all that) it outdates the western violin
@@Holistic-Hallucinations I'm not a musician my bad xD
Does anyone know what instrument that is?? :(
@@NorthKoreaUncovered as virtual rose said it should be an erhu
