    • @dasun13
      @dasun13 14 днів тому +1

      When you get stronger you get bigger. Byproduct.. getting stronger is through progressive weight overload, going from 50 to 70 straight push ups is gained muscle endurance but not size. By adding weight to your calisthenics and eating a proper diet you get stronger and bigger. If your not eating a proper diet you get smaller. Good work bro 💯 💪🏾

    There're many of good exercises that target chest, as well as these ones shown, but genetics anyways decides is your chest going to be big or flat (as well as some gear).

    • @Baki_will
      @Baki_will Місяць тому +1

      Genetic can go crazy sometimes but you can still get a nice chest without having a good genetic and is by knowing your body more, what I meant is to try different type of exercises and see which one works more on you and target more the chest 🔥

    • @danbillington
      @danbillington Місяць тому +2

      Sorry but I disagree with the 'genetics' argument. A person's ability to push themselves to the levels needed, train hard enough and put the work in - is the deciding factor. It's not genetics, it's mental (my opinion).

      @danbillington Місяць тому +1

      @@soldierofgod349 What exercises are you doing, bro? Push ups, etc? You said you're "out of shape now" so I am taking that to mean you're carrying some weight? Try fasting, to lose the weight - and then you'll be putting less strain on the joints. It's very common for people to push themselves too hard and too fast at the beginning, before all the tendons and sinews, etc, have had chance to become conditioned.
      Find an exercise you're comfortable doing, without any pain (like body weight squats) and just do as many as you can. You can train your legs almost every day if you're only doing body weight. It's when people start thinking they can squat insane weight, that they get injured. Either use body weight or very light weights, don't go heavy because you'll risk injuring yourself. Cannot stress this enough. Body weight/light weight squats with high reps, as many as you can do.
      Build your body from the bottom up. Start with legs. Take care of your legs and your upper body will take care of itself.

      @@danbillington hey thanks for your message and actually trying to help.i worked out for 10years I was toned up not big but ripped and then I hit a bad part in my life and had 2 years off I gained fat and I tried to start out again and I keep getting tendinitis in my elbows,bench press,dumbbell curls,push ups,shoulders that kinda thing.i was thinking so many years of working out caused my injuries but it makes sense what you said I’m going to hard to fast.fasting do you have a basic guide of what I should do?thank you for your message much appreciated

    • @danbillington
      @danbillington 29 днів тому

      @@soldierofgod349 Hey, no probs at all. Unfortunately, the only way is to rest the arms. All those exercises you listed involve the elbow joint and unless you rest and allow it to heal, it'll just get worse and then you'll be forced to rest anyway. But don't get disheartened, it will heal. Yes, you're getting tendonitis because you've been hitting it too hard, too soon. Once the tendonitis is better and you're able to exercise your arms again, the thing to do is use light weights (high reps) concentrate on making each rep SLOW, controlled and smooth, keeping the constant tension and always in complete control of the weight - this will build up the strength slowly in the tendons and condition the joints.
      There are tons of good fasting guides online but honestly, as obvious as this sounds, it basically just comes down to having the mental will-power to not put food in your face. I used to fast all the time and the more you do it the easier it gets. There are tons of unexpected benefits from fasting, too, like feeling energized and weirdly serene - and, often, not in the slightest bit hungry. You just have to want it. I used to have one meal, every 24 hours, at the minimum... sometimes I'd go 48 hours. Often I'd be 32 or 36 hours, or so, but 24 hours was my minimum and I always stuck to it. I lost a bunch of weight this way. It just falls off. As I say, it's just mental strength. It's been proven that exercise alone does not help people lose weight (because we just eat more to compensate) you basically have to fast as well. If 24 hours sounds too much to start with, start smaller - 12 hours or 6 hours. Good luck.
      While you're not able to use your arms and you're fasting, I cannot recommend again more highly doing the standing, body weight, squats. They're painful but we get out of this what we put into it and you'll turn yourself into a machine, with the legs of a Superhero. Squats are without doubt the most important exercise we can do and as I have already stressed, stay away from the heavy weights. Just do body weight (at first) and then light weights, and concentrate on doing high reps, as many as you can do. Oh and train your legs exactly like you would do your bicep curls - slow, smooth, controlled reps, concentrating on smoothness, maintaining tension and form.
      Best of luck, mate.
