Because I’d buy one if it works well. Or I might buy the less expensive one that Apple might come out with eventually if it doesn’t have that stupid tether to the battery and isn’t made out of glass and aluminum and heavy as heck on my face.
I'd kill for a tutorial on how to get my quest pro controllers working with this. I got everything working except for getting them in the right spot using the calibrator.
I think this might be an issue with the most recent update of the ALVR Streamer. Download the v20.10.0 version (github.com/alvr-org/ALVR/releases/tag/v20.10.0) and then for the Vision Pro app, get the TestFlight version. Then, click on View Previous Builds in the TestFlight app and download the 20.9.2 (1) build until they fix it in the future.
I'm using VisionOS 2.0 to play on ALVR. Make sure you're updated to that version and it should show up. Make sure that you're on a new-ish version of ALVR too. Hope this helps!
Yeah it still turns transparent in room scale in VisionOS 2.0. That's way better than fully turning transparent like it was in VisionOS 1.0, so hopefully they add a guardian system or something in 3.0 🤷
Tbh I don't have a large enough room to test it out lol. Based on a clip of it that I saw recently, it's not too distracting since it's not fully transparent on the floor, just fading in
Compared to Quest 3's AirLink or Virtual Desktop, the video quality definitely isn't better. Your internet quality does play a part so your mileage may vary. I know that Virtual Desktop is coming to the Vision Pro one day so maybe that'll have a better video quality than ALVR
@@Darielquinta VD isnt coming for ages. spoke to the coder who said nothing concrete at all. i played with ALVR and its incredible. can push much higher bitrate with it to AVP.
My guess is that he doesn't plan on creating an entire version of VD without there being a bigger userbase on the Vision Pro. It sucks but I guess it makes sense. What settings did you set ALVR to? I'm curious because I can get it to look kinda nice but with some weird artifacting bugs while in it
@@Darielquinta my AVLR is gorgeous now. I have a modem connected to it. have you used iperf3? whats ur numbers from it. mine is 450mbps (low) to 950mpbs (high) ... this will decide what settings to run
I’m pretty happy with the Quest 2, with steam link on my pc.. until the fancier stuff comes down in price, this itches that itch for me, for now! It’s still a really good experience!
Wasn’t rich, it’s $5000 in my country. When it was announced, I saved $500/m then just bought when it came out. Meanwhile my friends pay more than $500/m on eating out, alcohol and weed.
Then, discover that you can do it easier and more comfortable with Quest3 , and that your neck does not need to hurt, and your face does not need to be deformed by that heavy p.o.s. that Vision Pro is, and with proper controllers.
why are you watching this you dont even have a apple vision pro
idk
I do have one

Having trouble setting controls. I want to use the hand tracking but it seems the gestures are working with the preset bindings. Any thoughts??

The „send eye tracking to alvr“ doesn’t show up. Any idea why? Which vision os do you use?

It's a shame no one who isn't rich can't pay 3k for a headset

@@gabrield4892 that's cool and all but see I'm a 15 year old with parents who barely work I only have 26 bucks that's probably gonna be spent on food.
You don't need to be rich but it's expensive.
It means……. YOU CAN PLAY GORILLA TAG ON APPLE VISION PRO?!?!?!?!
