You are the only one who has such a detailed guide for this. Thank you so much. Now I need to convince myself to invest another 900 dollars to get the optimal controllers 😅
@@CasandCharyWhat about locomotion devices? I can see a VR treadmill standing behind you in the video. Have yiu tried Apple Vision Pro with a treadmil? Is it even possible? Is it usable with a treadmill? Or you need to stand super-still not to trigger the passtrough on Apple Vision Pro?
Great video, as usual. I don't think the other commenter was jabbing at you -- it's a jab at the price of the Apple Vision. It's so expensive, only a handful of people will have it while also having a gaming PC.
Thats AWesome! Thank you. I got VRChat Up and running in my Vision Pro. Sadly even with top Wifi and Settings tweaking it still feels better on my quest 3. BUT it was amazing none the less to get it up and running. Many thanks
This is a scenario where Apple's walled garden is a shame, because with Rosetta and Parralels on the M2 processor, I could imagine alot of VR games being able to run natively with less latency. But as it stands now, no form of x86 emulation is available for the Vision Pro. I know drivers and compatibility would be potential issues, but still.
This is going to be a lot of fun! I love watching the haters complain but the fact that this is even possible at all is incredible! I was going to buy the Vision Pro anyway but when I saw this 🤩
You should try playing Xing: The Land Beyond with this setup! I think the pacing and immersion quality would be unmatched, and perfect for this combination of devices/features.
What GPU is sufficient (possibly after tweaking some settings) to enjoy Half-Life Alyx on Apple Vision Pro via ALVR with visuals being superior to what is achievable on Valve Index?

Facts. It’s a technical marvel in terms of the screen, but it’s not a good gaming headset and obviously it’s priced so high for something that does so little.
@@owRekssjfjxjxuurrpqpqss Little? Outside of native VR gaming which will only improve with updates and vision os updates, it does way more than the quest 3 and I have both devices.
after i install alvr and input ip. then connect to my pc server (press enter) , my vision screen become all black without any interface. any one know what the problem is?
first off, thank you for making this video, it really is a godsend. everything worked amazing until i got to the controller calibration. i’m using index controllers with a htc vive headset. when i go to calibrate it immediately cancels and says “aborted” and that the target could not be found. controllers have been updated, and everything else is working perfectly. thanks so much in advance!
super sorry for spam, but i think i figured it out. for me, it won’t configure unless i run a steam game and launch alvr in the vp and “play” it first. after i close the game out, it lets me configure the controllers. idk why it makes me do that though
okay so now i’m at another issue. when i open steam vr and get into the home areo, im basically in the ceiling while my controllers are down on the floor, even when im literally holding them. pls help
Glad to see you figured out a lot on your own! As for the play area, I'd suggest trying to recalibrate using SteamVR's recalibrate button in the menu while standing in the correct space and holding your controllers. If that doesn't work, download OpenVR advanced settings and use that to manually recenter your play area: github.com/OpenVR-Advanced-Settings/OpenVR-AdvancedSettings
i'm ok if apple doesn't want to get into vr right now and the majority of people an ompanies love prefer augmented reality better than virtual reality because virtual reality is not for everybody because we do heard about motion sickness the majoritiy don't like vr but yes there are some of us in the miniroty that love vr i also think that's why apple want to foucs on ar first before they get into vr in the future also because vr is just not there yet how people want it the tehnology is just not there yet i know i'm a fan of virtual reality i love prefer vr over ar even tho i also love ar too i'm just not a fan of ar myself yet but one day in the near future when ar improves than i can see myself be a fan of both ar and vr equally and i also heard most believe that maybe nintendo might get into both ar/vr with there next gen nintendo hardware as well but who knows if that would actually happen in this 2020s decade for nintendo or not at all
It's bizarre how Apple manages to alienate people's minds to sell this for that price, the Quest 3 is 12x cheaper and better, And the Meta Library already dominates, there's a lot of good stuff there. virtual reality is basically made for gamification, for GAMES, and the fucking headset doesn't come with a controller, the vibration and feeling that you are picking up objects with the controller is where the greatest immersion comes from!! unless they release haptic gloves/bodysuits soon, that would be amazing and would make me spend whatever money...
There is currently no PC hardware that will allow you to use a headset with these specs for gaming and use the headset to its max. The same applies to the PIMAX or any other high end headset at the moment. On a RTX 4080 I can barely get decent performance on my Quest 3 running PC games. Never mind running the Quest 3 at 120hz with super sampling. Its just not possible. Considering how flimsy the setup and configuration has been on the quest 3, this will be a nightmare. I'm already considering ditching my Quest 3 for something with a direct display port connection for this reason. There's no such thing as plug and play. The amount of time I've wasted all because I want to play a quick PC game on my Quest 3 and my entire evening turns into a fault finding mission. I've worked in IT all of my life and I wouldn't touch this with a barge pole. I'm not into self punishment anymore.
The fact people have to do all this tweaking and 3rd party systems just to play a vr game shows why the vison pro is an overhyped overprice piece of garbage 😂 Anyways good vid though! Definitely a good channel for vr news just hate apple and their stupid shady games and practices (which is why apple has multiple lawsuits going right now against them)
Honestly, i dont think the apples r1 chip can compete with qualcoms logic blocks.the vision pro will never do tracking as fast as the quest 3. Apples device is a glorified face screen.

How to get the TestFlight Invitation Code?
Great video. Very useful information. This is exactly what “early adopters” do. They constantly discover unexplored qualities and even a few hacks.

How do I get access to TestFlight?

How do you get past the initial "line world" when you first connect? For me I am just stuck in line world.
Same... did you ever resolve this? If you mean like a wireframe-like environment?
To be honest, it’s the best Headset I have ever tried. But streaming is probably just an okayish solution. Do you feel any latency?
FOV in steam vr pls ? 95?
Would joy cons be enough for half life?
all works but the steam vr shows Please plug in yoour VR headset instead of running... see if anyone know how to fix that

check your firewall settings on your pc.
