- Gargoyle gecko breeding was brutal but Fuji got it done. Today we are incubating, caring for, and hatching out a couple adorable little gecko hatchlings.
I've kept almost every reptile you can think of, but breeding reptiles has been a lifelong dream and it finally came true, and it seems we have much more in the future... baby fever and lots of BABIES man lets gooooo

Never been so invested in a clutch of eggs before. They have Fuji’s eyes and bacon strips
Similarly, I have never been so invested in reptiles before, much to my fathers chagrin. He always tried to get me interested in his love of snakes when I was growing up.
With that observation and the PP mark I want one to be called Panchetta

As soon as the first baby pipped and started emerging from their eggs so too did my eyes put on an impromptu cosplay of a waterfall. So much emotion wrapped up in these lil Gargs especially the first clutch. I'm so happy to see those precious hatchies!

I have a friend who's gecko prolapsed back in March and who was adamant about avoiding surgery where possible to have it removed because of the concern with anesthesia on reptiles, and we found your story of Fuji around the same time. We're both VERY happy to see that he got the job done and that his legacy will live on!

Watching them hatch reminds me of an exhibit with chicks hatching. I remember watching one breaking its way out and once it finally broke its head out the entire crowd cheered 😊

On a separate note, I think you can take a page out of Beatrix Potter's book and write children's stories featuring your reptile pets. They would capture the imagination of kids for generations! Beatrix Potter got her characters like Peter Rabbit from her pets, which she used to disect or stuff after they died. She was a methodical scientist, author, illustrator, conservationist, and one of the wealthiest people of her time. She wrote about the propagation of fungi and singlehandedly saved her publishing company when they were about to go bankrupt.
I think you would be a great storyteller. ❤

When I saw those babies loose in the incubator my heart almost exploded. Keep a lid on those deli cups, those babies can and will squeeze out of the incubator!
