Angry Joe discovers by accident a plot by Cobra Commander to enslave the worlds population through a mind control device embedded in the GIJOE: Rise of Cobra Game. Will Joe be able to stop Cobra and Destroy it before its too late?

I know exactly what you mean. I was a G.I. Joe fan growing up, and this film really disappointed me. It should've been about the character of G.I. Joe, you know, as in "Joe Colton", the reason why they organized the G.I. Joe Special Forces Unit, during the days when he was between the rank of a Corporal(Corporal Colton), and Sergeant Major(Sergeant Major Colton). In fact they should've had the name of the G.I. Joe Special Forces Unit be an abbreviation for something, like "Government Intelligence Joint Operations Executive"(G.I.J.O.E.) for instance. I think the movie should've been about what Joe Colton did that made them want to name this special forces unit after him. They should somehow connect it to that 1945 movie called "The Story of G.I. Joe", but have the 2009 film be taking place in modern times, like it was. Maybe General Dondaro(from "The Story of G.I. Joe" film) is the founder, and the man who organized the G.I. Joe Special Forces Unit. The 2009 film should've simply have been called "G.I. Joe", and I think it should've included all the original characters, such as "Rocky"(of the Army, not the boxer), "Hawk"(becomes General Hawk), "Ace"(of the Air Force, yes the jet pilot), "Skip"(of the Navy), "Mike"(the Chief Engineer), "Duke", and "Flint". The mission team could be called the "A-Team", instead of the "Adventure Team" like in those 1973 G.I. Joe storybook and records(45 rpm records) by Jack Schecterson Assoc. Inc. and Peter Pan Records. Their were 4 of them. They were called: "The Secret of the Mummy's Tomb", "The Rescue from Adventure Team Headquarters", "The Secret Mission to Spy Island", and "The Search for the Stolen Idol". Their actually very well done. You can watch them on You Tube, or buy them on ebay. Those story book and records were based on the early 70's G.I. Joe action figure toy line by Hasbro Ind. I think the best actor to play the character of Joseph B. Colton(which was the main character in those storybook and records) is "Gerard Butler". Watch him in the movie called "300", and you'll see what I mean. Another actor that would've been a good choice to play Colton would've been "Hugh Jackman". Imagine Hugh Jackman with a military style buzz cut with a beard and mustache, then you'll know what I mean. If they wanted the beginning to take place in the future, with an older General Joseph B. Colton so that the rest of the film can be kind of like a flashback to 2009, then I think they should've gone with actor "Tom Skerritt" to play the older General Colton. Well, whaddia think? Lemmee know. It's still not too late for them to do a reboot, using my ideas.

I've actually been replaying this game and I've come to terms with the fact that it is just a shooter , like 1984 or even Centipede, only with Joe characters . Shooting is half the battle (no pun intended) . In this game you have to learn how to strategically Bob and weave out of the way of incoming lasers,bullets and missles. If you go into it with that mindset , the game isn't that bad.
I loved the Old Arcade Version of GI Joe, that game was soooo awesome ;D I wasted so many quarters on it as a kiddo ;D
I want know what it would make this game cooler online multiplayer!! which gives you a choice to choose either the cobra characters or the Joe characters

how epic would it be if GI joe game was super serious, gory and violent like even a metal gear solid or call of duty style game but with gi joe characters and story. GI joe characters list is endless troops, ninjas, robots would be epic

Bought this game a long time ago for the ps2. Thank God the game only cost 10 bucks. For that price the game ant too bad. It can be decent fun, but for 50 bucks? Hell No!

Not sure how I feel being the nail in the coffin, but I felt the same way. Guess five months makes quite a bit of a difference in it as well. If you're trying to make me feel guilty, I do feel that a little bit because I've been in a similar position, but oh well, you've probably gotten fifty comments similar to mine.

Yeah Scott Pilgrim is really good, but again it only came out the smae time as the movie to capitalize on the the whole ip, but it is still based on the comic series rather than the movie. I mean the game looks like the comic book, its not crappy cheap movie graphics. The characters dont look like the actors, they look like they do in the comic book. But your right, it wasnt shitty.

I got this game on the Wii and only played it 3 or 4 times. I beat every level and don't know how to get more currency to buy more characters. and there are checkpoints, there just to far apart because there are just so many damn enemies. this game is only hard because of enemy overload.

I think they should release a PC MMP with the next G.I.Joe movie. There are hundreds of characters if you go back through the recent movies, comics, cartoons, and toys. It will never happen but I can dream............
The NES G.I. Joe games and the Arcade by Konami are way better. Because at least the NES Games had better music and graphics, and both were easier to play with okay platforming. And the Arcade game was as least a solid shoot em' up! KID, Taxan, Konami and Capcom did it right. EA unsurprisingly didn't!
