That DJI mic system is such a great product. Many times, I simply record directly to the mic and sync it up in post. Excellent demonstration Stephen! Thank you for showing it to us.

Is doing a screen record really necessary since the DJI mic can record internally? In terms of syncing the audio in post how are you doing that? What are you using as reference audio? I’ve connected my DJI Mic to my iPhone and it records directly to the video I’m recording with no need to sync the audio. Is that possible with this set up?

It's so close to perfection. And with these both being DJI products... why can't the RC simply use the MIC to add audio automatically? C'mon DJI, one simple step left to do.
The DJI RC is very basic in functionality. No storage, so it can’t record sound.

With my phantom 4 pro my tablet or phone would record audio onto the cache videos, so it was super simple to sync that audio with the higher rez video post production. Very disappointing they ended that support for newer drones after they launched the mic system.

The sound can record on the screen recording videos, but how about the video in the drone, how do I use the same sound clips and use it for the drone video?
You can tape a mic to the drone. But it’ll sound bad.
@@FlybyGuys I don't mean that, I mean the audio is for the screen recording clips which is 1080p, if I want my voice on the 4k clips in the drone, I think I need to sync the voice I got from the screen recording to the 4k video right?

@FlybyGuys I understood @calvin14888. He and I both want to record through the controller directly onto the drone video. How did you get your voice onto the drone video? The screen recording is simple. Is it the same process, or does the screen audio have to be moved over to the drone footage during editing? Thanks.
@@FWMCBigFoot This I found out we have to sync the screen recording audio to the video from the drone while editing so the audio match the HD video. I saw someone demonstrate it, we have to make a reference starting point and then sync it so that the audio matches. But I still don't know how.
its not simple at all you dont show how to get the audio off the sd card.
