Every time I see a "space saving" idea that just hides away stuff, I just think to myself "You know, by hiding it away you are now using at least twice as much space for that object, the space in which it is used and the space in which it is hidden." Most people don't realize that in order to "hide away" something into a wall or floor or whatever, that wall must become that much thicker, because now it not only acts as a wall with structure and purposeful design but also a closet that is specially designed to do only 1 thing that may only be temporary. Once you start building things like a TV or a pool table or a desk into the very structure of a room, that room will then always revolve around that object, thus becoming a less flexible room. Sure, by hiding stuff away you temporarily gain a larger space for you to move around in, but it's not like the stuff you hide just magically shrinks or dissapears. The stuff is still taking up space, you just can't see it as well anymore.
BTW, space saving in this manner of "hiding things away" only works if you can afford the extra space to "hide it away". So rich people who have problems with looking at "clutter" which normally belongs in a room, are probably the best and maybe the only customer for those ideas.
Also, I find that too many space saving designs are designed to make you take more time to do normal everyday tasks. Just think about it, if you are annoyed by how much time it takes to make your bed every morning, just think how much time it would take to BUILD that bed every night AND morning. If you are like me and you use your desk every single day, how often are you going to be inclined to dismantle that desk? So, i feel like any "space saving designs" which hide away things people would probably use on a regular basis is just a way of making people take more time to do the same tasks in exchange for a little extra breathing space every now and again.
I totally get that you don't need a massive dining table every day, and it helps to have one which can adjust to the situation, and it's nice to have an extra table on hand when you need one, and there's a reason why fold out couches have stuck around for so long because you never know when you might have company over even though you don't have an extra room for them. So periodic things that don't always get used make sense for space saving ideas at least, but when you start hiding away a stove or microwave or a desk..... you are just making every day life more troublesome than it has to be just so it can look "cleaner" every so often.
Ok, now that that is said, I can also agree that the only exception to all of the normal use stuff is when you are living in a Japanese sized apartment where you are lucky just to have a separate room for the bathroom and everything else must fit in a room no bigger than a small bedroom. In which case, space saving has to be planned EXTREMELY well in order for everything to work without compromising functionality and without using the contradictory "space hiding".
I like my house more tiddy than the next guy, but I know when too far is too far. Now amount of OCD is going to make my pocket any bigger for any of this less efficient bullshit. (P.S. I like my desktop computer, regardless, so I'd really like to see a "space saving" desk that accommodates more than a dinky laptop that still has to find a home someplace else at the end of the day. All in one computers are only for those who just want a phone that looks like a computer, same goes for micro pc's and shit. My phone can do everything those things can do and it's way more portable and it lives longer.)

Love (not really 🤨) that you steal so much context from the BE AMAZED CHANNEL!! They at least make sure to add in the names of the products if you read the transcript. They have also received permission to showcase what they share. But not you!! You copy/paste stolen material & just sloppily put it together & of course don't even bother to add in the product's information. Shame on you! Last time I watch your channels stolen merchandise ✌😂🙋‍♀️🏃‍♀️
