I still miss teaching so much(retired for quite a few years), I think I'm going to live vicariously through you this year, hope you don't mind. I had 36 kids on my class list in an algebra class one year and I told the guidance office I didn't mind...they could sit on the windowsill or the floor but I thought their parents might not be so happy...they had it taken care of overnight(LOL)

Awe thank you for watching! 36 is so packed! The more the merrier but the kids are so big and the rooms so small they’re packed like sardines. Haha.

Lol @ the reason you wear a Blazer. I am a tiny human too at 4'11"! I wear blazers too because I get cold all the time. However I also wear my college hoodie of the outfit is dress down.

Love the around the room activity. Is there somewhere I can find more info about that?

I’m going to make a best activities video in the future where I’ll break that down more. I actually have a template for these on my teachers pay teachers where you can build your own! Basically students start at any card, and their answer directs them to another card to work on! There are some examples on my teachers pay teachers store as well if you want to see what they actually look like with content!

I agree about the document camera and showing hand gestures. Do you give the students guided notes or do they copy their own notes into a notebook?

I always do guided notes! We have so much curriculum to get through and they’re still young so I think it’s best to still do guided with them!

I really like your "Influencers of Stem" bulletin board ... did you make that or buy it from somewhere?

It’s not mine, it’s from a seller called elementary in the mitten. She has a bunch of other items similar too! They’re amazing!

What kind of mini fridge do you have? The amazon reviews are scaring me away from purchasing one for my classroom, so I'm on the hunt for personal recommendations!

Mine is actually a realllyyyy old one a coworker was going to toss that I spray painted black! I wouldn’t worry about reviews and just snag one from Home Depot! I don’t think you could go too wrong! The only problem I have with mine is it gets too cold sometimes and freezes my drinks! Lol

I am debating assign teaching. I teach seniors and I just want to treat them more like how college will be.

I totally agree! I would do it alphabetically the first day and say it’s for you to learn their names and they need to stay in those assigned seats to start the first two weeks. Then maybe give freedom of choice from there! Upper grades I fully believe should be closer to their college environment as well!
