Hi!! It’s so hard to find secondary teachers on here so i’m happy to have found you. I am a middle school ELA teacher ALSO in GA and also a vlogger of my experience here on UA-cam! I’m wondering if we’re in the same district because we started the same time & your building looks familiar 😏. Anywho, looking forward to seeing the final results of your classroom!
I know, right? That’s partly why I started this because when looking for resources for myself, I couldn’t find any other HS teachers! And oh wow! What a small world!
I teach 4th grade and you popped up on my UA-cam home page today. I love and appreciate the love you put into you classroom. I’m the mother of a high school boy and one starting his sophomore year of college. I was recently talking to my oldest about classroom decor and making it feel safe and homey. He say he really appreciated the teachers in high school that took the time and effort to do that. Most don’t. So keep up the good work they notice even as teenagers.
That means so much that you say that!! I definitely have girls who gush over my classroom, but never hear much from boys! I’m glad to know some appreciate it!
@@acutemathclass2739 I was talking about teachers getting hate for spending money to decorate their classrooms when he told me. I was surprised to hear it and I know he never would have said anything to his teachers cause that’s not “cool” but I think it just shows another way we impact our kids without even knowing. 💕
Love your classroom! I am a second year high school math teacher, and I love seeing other secondary teachers decorate their classroom too! Also, I love your math is cool section. We are really pushing intervention and enrichment, and I think I could use some of those activities for enrichment.
So nice to see a high school classroom set up! I teach high school math too and loved seeing your room. For the marker residue on your walls, have you tried hand sanitizer? I use it to take dry erase marker off anything :)
I’m going back to college really soon I’m going to back to college to get my education for teaching and degree and I’m really excited I’m really excited I’m learning how to drive get my dream car get the Nintendo switch oled and get the iPhone 13 and I’m really excited 😊
HI! I just started my first year of secondary teaching! I Joined half a semester in so I'm still trying to get my room together. I am also a high school math teacher in GA! Thank you for this video as it gave me some inspiration!
I’m teaching English and I’m really excited to I’m doing excited English I’m doing 5 buliten borads one for English one for student passwords and one for inspire and one of my family and kopo girl group I’m learning Korean and Spanish 😄
I’m a 7th Grade Math teacher. I’m just wondering what you do with the cell phone check in system if students don’t have cell phones? I always have several that don’t and even my own 15 year old doesn’t have a phone (I know-weird..but it’s by her choice). Your lucky that you can ask for classroom donations. In my school district, we aren’t allowed to ask for donations and can’t give out Donors Choose, Amazon Wishlist info to parents. If they randomly do donate things to us..they can-but we put out anything that would seem like we are requesting it.
A quick email home on test day to make sure is all I do! I just start off by sharing the rule and asking the parent if it’s true, and I just want to stay equitable in my classroom because I’ve had kids lie in the past about not having one and other kids get upset they got away with the lie. Parents are always understanding so it’s easy! And really?! I’ve never heard of not being allowed to ask for donations! I grew up in the same district I teach in and I always remember having a donations list sent home. You could always make one and share to Facebook! I had a lot of friends donate as well!

I love that section! I’ll also have printable logic puzzled they can grab there but I just haven’t gotten there yet this year. Lol
I would have LOVED for this to be my classroom in high school. Practical and aesthetically pleasing!
Thanks so much! :)
When ever I go to high school I want my teacher to decorate like this
I'm sure there will be a few!

I am an Algebra teacher in Texas. Love seeing a high school math teacher on you tube!
Thank you! More of us need to get on here! lol.
Great shoe/calculator story! I like how you organized the activities in binders.
Thank you! It took a while to find a system that works but it’s been the best!

Do you have a link for the LED lights that you have around your board? That's such a cute idea

What grade level do you teach?
Predominately 9th but I’ve also had 10th for a few years as well!
