I taught in NYS so had to be ready in June to give the Regents Exams so I made a spreadsheet for the entire year day by day, topics, assignments, exams, holidays, etc. This made it much easier really for me to change things, if a snow day came up, I could go into my spreadsheet and make auto matic changes. Yes, I did build in some open time so I wouldn't have to really double up on difficult topics, it made it much easier. Since the Regents scheduled their exams a year ahead, I knew by that time we had to complete the required material without excuses. I am very impressed how organized you are allready, I think it might be the nature of Math teachers.

I'm just rewatching this today, and I think I'm going to follow your technique of giving the students a timeline for each topic so that they know what's coming up and when there will be tests!
Would you be willing to share and explain how you do the flipped classroom because it's something I've been interested in doing but I don't have a lot of experience seeing how someone implemented in their math class
My syllabus isn't on my TPT, just my first day generic materials. I'll add it to the description. It's not super user friendly in powerpoint, but it will give you an idea!
You’re really making me want to move up to high school 😬 I currently teach 6th grade and have been pondering making the move to high school, but want to get a few more years under my belt first.
A lot of my coworkers who have taught Algebra I with me have made the jump! Most taught 8th grade for a while, so I would suggest moving up to that grade first before switching.
Bless your heart teaching middle school . I’m still traumatized from subbing for that age range . Went from getting cussed out to calling security to break up a fight .

Yes though I can see that being an issue if the student genuinely misplaced the calculator .
Really helpful, lm not yet cleared at the district so lm a bit behind. Schools have open so l have a lot in my head

Yes! I think once the school year settles in I'm going to try to do a small series on how I prep for and implement a flipped classroom!

Are y'all a block schedule (every other day) or daily schedule?
Daily schedule! I wish we were block to have more time each day for activities, so sometimes I spread on activity over two days!
What is the font you use for the procedure cards titles and text? It’s so nice and I’ve been searching for something that looks just like it!
