I saw this video for the first time six months ago and I said "I will never be able to learn this", after studying hungarian all day long for six month I can finally understand almost the whole video. For those who are learning this language, don't give up!
Same, a year ago I couldnt understand most of the words, now its 50/50. im slooowly getting there :D
I would imagine if you do anything 'all day long' for 6 months, you would be fairly good at it
How r u doing now with Hungarian?
Bravo!
I am learning Hungarian more than one and a half year and still dont unterstand the whole video. So dont give up 😅
The expression "Easy Hungarian" is an oxymoron!
yes, lovely language but very difficult, quite impossible!
That's what I thought!!
I was about to write same comment .
new concept added
haha unhappily is it.
It's a fascinating Language!
Music brought me here
@@snxwflakes8190 same 😅
Exactly
@Adolf Ogi are you crazy?
It's hard as hell to learn.
It's got a nice melody to it, not as hard as the Slavic languages, yet not as 'floaty' as Swedish and Norwegian etc. In my opinion that is.
Not as hard as slavic languages???? Are u sure about that 😉 I think its 100x harder than all of them put together
I know russian, ukrainian, english and a little bit polish language. And hungarian language is 10000000000432 times harder than slavic languages.
@@ivantulumovic861 I think he means it is not as hard sounding. In terms of difficulty I agree hungarian is much harder but it is more melodic than Slavic languages maybe
I am Serbian but idk any hungarian
@@ivantulumovic861 Im pretty sure the word he word he was looking for was really "harsh" as I dont think they were referring to difficulty
What "floaty" means?
Hungarian is an amazing language with such a unique sound. ♡ I know it's not related but it reminds me of Swedish by the way.
Haha, damn, another one that thinks the same. A little bit sometimes it does. And the languages are not related at all.
As a Swedish person, I don't understand anything 🤣 It's more similar to Estonian and Finnish but that's because those 3 languages are all related.
Sometimes it does, but only the intonation / overall sound, because the words are completely different, and it’s sort of the same with Welsh and Dutch because Welsh reminds of Dutch as they have some similar sounds and similar intonation and some similar letter combinations! I am learning both Swedish and Hungarian, but I once confused Hungarian with Swedish, even though deep down I knew it wasn’t really Swedish because I didn’t understand any words, but the sounds and the intonation were so similar! Hungarian is a category 3 language, same as Irish and Scottish Gaelic - it’s not as hard as ppl make it out to be! It’s not as easy as Dutch / English / Norwegian (the easiest languages ever) etc, but it’s nowhere near as hard as Arabic languages / Korean / Chinese / Japanese / Thai / Vietnamese / Indian languages etc! I am advanced level in Dutch and intermediate level in Norwegian / German / Swedish etc and beginner level in Hungarian / Welsh / Irish / Scottish Gaelic / Breton / Manx / Cornish / French etc!
For me it sounds slightly like Spanish.
So what part of this video is easy again?
Hungarian is disgustingly difficult. 😭😭
+ERAU watching is pretty easy :D
+Sir Cat II Colonel of the 4th Grammar Nazi Division - it might sound difficult, but actually pretty a lot of people speak it, non natives too, so it can't be that bad ;)
The part where you quit
@@easyhungarian5518 well, it is HARD, but it's not impossible!
Wow! It really sounds similar to Finnish. I knew they were related languages but didn't expect them to sound this similar
Our language is also related with estonian.
Yeah they're both Uralic languages
It’s not similar to Finnish in any way, except for the fact that it’s an agglutination language as well, but they aren’t truly related, and Hungarian is one of the languages that have been categorized incorrectly - Finnish is very similar to Estonian! Hungarian is in fact a Turkic language - well, it used to be, because they all come from the same language, so they share words that have the same roots like alma / elma etc! But Hungarian has evolved into a very pretty language with mostly pretty words, probably due to the European influences - I am studying and learning Hungarian and the other pretty languages / pretty words!

@@FrozenMermaid666 I disagree. Hungarian is much harder than the East Asian languages.
Such an amazing channel, I'm a medical student in Hungary and I know how to speak about 60% of the Hungarian language but still stuck at some point and those videos helped a lot, and I wish you could post more of such videos since there are no recent videos uploaded.
Such a nice channel, wish you all the best !
I'm excited that there is an Easy Hungarian series now. Köszönöm!
wow I never paid close attention to Hungarian, sounds so so beautiful.
Finally. Can't wait for more episodes. :)
So excited when I saw they made a video for Hungarian!! :)
So excited for Hungarian episodes!! :D
YEEEEESSSS !! EASY HUNGARIAN ! FINALLY :D
I'm French and I'm learning Hungarian, so this is peeeerfect for me
+Kinderboxful where are you learning it? :)
Im somewhat hungarian and learning french (:
it's funny i'm hungarian and learning french but with easy french ^^ (i was just curious so i came here to check x) )
Moi aussi j'adore cette langue ^^
I'm german and my friend (american, currently learning german) has complained about our language on numerous occasions now, but it doesn't seem as bad compared... (obviously, I also never had to conciously learn german)
The most interesting thing is that the Hungarian language belongs to the group of languages of the peoples living in the Urals and Siberia, and the distance between them is thousands of kilometers.
Not surprising at all. Ever heard of the Huns?
@@highfive7815 Huns and Hungarians are different things.
@@tommeiner9983 they were. They just got assimilated by Slavs and other neighboring European countries.
Thank you, Easy Hungarian Team! Been waiting for this. I have travelled to Hungary a few times and the footage of this video makes me miss Budapest. Hungarian is a difficult language but fascinated by it too. Very much looking forward to upcoming episodes.
+Celeste Granillo - hope to see you here! :)
Thanks from Canada...köszönöm szépen.

So so happy..My favorite language. Ez nagyon jo!!!!
😂
Közönöm :) finally hungarian version has started :)
I am 66 and of Hungarian parents I speak Hungarian and understand it well enough, however, was never taught it formally. Sadly I had to teach myself to read it, yet I could follow this conversation even though it was fast and some of the vocabulary was not familiar, enjoyed it and to answer the question I would love to go to Thailand.
here because ive been to Hungary once, was fascinated and missed people speaking this language. i had a nice time indeed. (im italian btw)
Wow,very pretty language🙂
Hello from Finland🙂

yeeeyyy !! at last ! :)
Hungarian :D
I love Budapest, one of my favorites places in Europe.
Cipőfűzőt mindenkinek!
Narin
Hey guys! Thanks for watching our video!
Hey, did you know that around 2000 foreigners said the most beautiful hungarian word is „cipőfűző” (shoestring)? Few years later foreigners said that word is our funniest word! :D
Cipőfűző [tsipoefhewzoe] for everyone!
Narin
Hello from Romania
Helló Franciaországból! Nagyon tetszett a videó, a magyar nyelv a világ egyik legszebbe szerintem ^^
Is there Easy Swedish? I'd like to see that.
I always say when i see it it ressembles turkish to me. But well im aware of its classification. Anything about magyar language is fascinating
almost everyone said it's hardest language.. but out of no where i heard my country was mentioned.. she'd like come to Indonesia.. 😊
Great videos thank you, I’m learning Hungarian and the subtitles are really helpful, just wondering if you could slow down the speed a little bit so that I can refer to the subtitles a bit more before the next phrase :)
Hi! If you want, you may slow down the speed of the video. Hover your mouse in the center of the playing video and click on the Settings icon, which resembles a gear. In the menu, scroll to find Playback speed and click it. UA-cam gives you eight options for playback speed. :)
I love the Tokelau guy :D somewhere between New Zealand and Americas lol
What I love about this channel is how they (mostly) interview local people in local languages. Even though I understand that English is the modern lingua franca spoken and understood most worldwide, I am disgusted how many people (even medias) just plainly use English to ask questions to the locals. It looks quite disrespectful and Anglocentric. It's as if people who don't speak English don't exist. I think we should pay more respect to the local languages in this global era, especially those who speak English.
As for the video itself, I'm surprised to hear the word "Tokelau." And the Hungarian language sounds very beautiful as usual. Ez nagyon szép van!
Greetings from Japan
😉
I fall in love with the interviewer. :)
My motherthongue is hungarian and I would have never thought that that much ppl would like to learn hungarian.
De itt vagyunk
It sounds like Turkish
I am British and it's fascinating to me how the Hungarians perceive Britain. We say 'The Grass is not Greener on the other side'.
I will soon be moving to Hungary. Hungarians should be proud of their country, it is beautiful.
Brit vagyok, és számomra lenyűgöző, hogy a magyarok hogyan látják Angliát. A túloldalon nem zöld a fű. A következő hónapokban Magyarországra költözöm. Légy büszke a hazádra, gyönyörű.
1:26 - "A vilag legnagyobb vegetarianus talakozoja"
"Talalkozoja" is not a festival (which is fesztival as I know). Talakozni as a verb is to "get to know someone", which clearly is a "meeting". Incorrect or blurry translation does not really help to learn hungarian for true beginners. Yes, he probably meant to mention the Vegetarian Fest, yet still - what he said is talalkozoja.
Találkozni is to meet, yes, but találkozó is the place where you meet, so I guess this translation fits
I want easy Brazilian and more German, plus Easy Arabic but the Syrian accent thank you in advance!!!
***** thank you Nora but i live on earth too and I know that they speak portuguese.you can check the videos of this channel they alredy put Easy Brazilian.
BTW I screamed too when i saw it ;))

Hungarian girls are some of the most beautiful that I've seen around the world.
Ok mate. Show some respect and stop simping.
@@user-vd9pf6pu3o How am I simping? I'm expressing my preferences. Who am I supposed to have respect for, you? Lol. D*&b kimchi.
@@user-vd9pf6pu3o Expressing preferences is simping? I don't think you know what the word means.
Here's my advice for solving your illiteracy problem: go grab a dictionary and take and ESL class.
Nagyon szép a lány!
Sounds like Farsi, soft and melodic to the ear.
Exactly. Especially the tehrani accent. Very melodic, almost like they’re singing.
She's easy on the eyes. That's about the only thing easy with this video.
1:23 as a Chicagoan I can't imagine traveling here all the way from Hungary for vegetarian food, almost all the food that Chicago is known for involves meat🤣
I hope he enjoyed his visit nonetheless.
What happened to this series ? Magyar is so beautiful
It sound like Turkish without Arabic and Persian loanwords
im from turkey somebody said turkish sounds like a little bit hungarian so thats why i clicked this video :)

God: How many syllables do you want the words of your language to have?
Hungarians and Finnic people: Yes
sounds to me like a weird mix between swedish and slavic.
+Pablo García and it has nothing to do with them :) languages are just fantastic!
Well, genetically they are slavs or germans so yeah
@@exposingreality6391 the hell no! They don't even come from Europe, originally.
@@exposingreality6391 the origin of hungarians come from central asia and when they came to Europe they settled there and a whole lot of cultural blending and adapting happened. Not slavic or germanic at all. :)
@@sarge8147 they are not turkic, Magyars were surrounded by turkic tribes but they are not part of the turkic group. Yes their culture was influenced by the turkic tribes but they are related to the khanty, Mansi, Uralic tribes in the northern area before they migrated to modern day Hungary.
As a Swede some sounds are actually pretty similar sometimes but I cannot understand it. It's related to Estonian, Finnish, Sami, Khanty etc...
Finally they did Easy Hungarian :D
Köszönöm szépen gyönyürű vidéót. Magam Bécsben lakom és most szerertné*k* Budapestre utazni

only Polish people will understand what I found there xDD
Did you know I speak Hungarian my grandma does and my mom and from there it’s so easy guess what I learned English that’s why I speak English now
It sounda so interesting, like a kind of mixture of Persian, Swedish and Turkish 😂
It’s very soft on the ears, but it looks like a keyboard malfunction as the language was being typed out haha
The guy who wants to live in Tokelau 😂😂😂
Hello! At one part the man says "Azt hiszem" does this mean 'I think " like it shows? I looked up in the translation for "I think" and it shows "gondolom"
"Azt hiszem" is more like "I believe".

My first language Finnish is related to Hungarian, still I do not understand anything. There are a few words that are about the same but its not helping.
Error in the title: There is no such thing as an "Easy Hungarian"...
loooool yep
It's not the hardest language ever lol
This language sounds so beautiful, unfortunately I don't have time to learn it properly... :(
Hugo Lopes thank god I speak Hungarian and understand fluently because I’m half Hungarian
Vic’s Aesthetics i’m 1/4 hungarian and i wish i understood the language. when my grandpa and his parents immigrated to america, my grandpa’s parents told my grandpa that “we are in america now so we only speak english” so not much of the hungarian language was passed down through generations
@@erindavis3136 I think your grandpa's grandparents did this to be adapted to America easily.

good work Bettina...
In the meantime, still waiting for Easy Romanian
Hi Cari :D
And what would be the difference between szeretsz and szereted? Tudom , hogy szeretsz- does this mean " i know you like me or love me? Wow this language is awesome and pretty hard also
It can mean both to like, and to love depending on the context.
@stopandaid6298
In Hungarian verbs has indefined and defined forms. For example látni means to see (ni is the suffix of infinitive, lát means she/he/it sees)
Lát egy almát = She/he/it sees an apple
Látja az almát = She/he/it sees the apple
szeretsz = you love (a... /to do.../me...)
szereted = you love (the.../that.../this.../her.../him...)
Differenting verbs indefinient and definient is mostly in northern Asian languages, in Europe only four languages has this: Hungarian, Erzya, Moksha, Basque.
Basque is isolated, the other three are finno-ugric languages. Sorry for incorrect English.
Nagyon jó! It's really great
