Hi Joe. Thank you for the bravery to not only face this disease but to share your journey with those of us at different points on the path. You are an inspiration. God bless.
As someone now in your shoes from 3 months ago, with the same concerns, I appreciate your forthright description of your journey...really glad to see things are looking up for you. Godspeed on the rest of your healing process.
Good news. You'll feel more like yourself after 4-6 weeks. That's great that you have the incontinence under control. You're ahead of the curve on that. One month to go till I get my PSA checked after surgery. Hoping for a zero!!
I'm glad you are on the flip side now and have your pathology results back. Peace of mind knowing what you were up against and even though it was worst than thought, thank god it was localised. Stay safe and well Joe 🫂❤️
The results of your pathology seem to solidify in my mind that a prostatectomy is the way to go at least for me as well. Waiting for my July 11th appt.. Great news and your recovery sounds like you are way ahead of schedule. Take Care!!
Mine was Gleason 9 , confined to my prostate, 2 years later it came back, did radiation 37 treatments and 6 months of Lupron, 2 years later it came back again been on Lupron for 4 years, it’s awful
So after two years the doctor wants to move to annual PSA testing? Mine was contained as well with no lymp node spread and I had my two year in November 2023 which thank god was still undetectable and my doctor now wants to move to once a year testing as he is confident of cure but I wanted to keep it ever six months for the first five years. Maybe I just need to go with the doctors advise and less worry.
Joe, great that they didn't find any marginal spread. How many lymph nodes did they remove? My surgeon removed a about dozen pelvic lymph nodes on the left side and a dozen on the right. For me, they found metastasis in four of the 25 removed. My cancer was categorized as aggressive as well with a decipher score of 0.68.
Good for you Joe ! Everything inside the prostate is good .! Keep up good work and stay strong !
Way to go Joe!!! So happy to hear that you are doing so well!!! I’ve been praying for you! Nancy
@@NancyGrayheck Thank you so much. On the mend, looking forward to coming back

Pleased to hear that you can still laugh, even if it makes you dribble a bit :). Things seem to be looking up for you, get well and stay well.

@@steveschram9922 glad to hear. I actually don't know how many. I assumed they removed them all.
@@joec42064 Your pathology report should specify everything.
