I'm happy for all of you that go to the falls just for a day to see it because living here isn't fun at all. Worst part is the city government really only cares for the tourist and not the local residents
I live near there too I visit many times a week and yeah I can agree
I live close and it pains me to see what Niagara Falls has become, I hope it can someday be better
Oh my I’m so sorry to hear that wow
It has been like that since the 60's . Born & raised there until '75 residents suffered with city government
I couldn’t believe the changes there. Visited the first time on September 1st -18th in 2001. That was a very interesting time to be there. Went back a few times after that till 2010, then again in 2018. Wow what a change. I love Visiting Canada but Niagara has really gone overboard.
I visited Niagara Falls this past weekend and did Maid of the Mist and Cave of the winds, saw the Falls lit up with fireworks and walked over the Rainbow bridge to Canada and I have to say its awesome and beautiful loved every minute if it !!
Lynette Lennon that’s the best way to do it! Glad you had a great time!
@@MonicaGoesShow i went to the falls in canada. We took the long way home, driving by the water in new york. It was huge, but it looked kinda gross. Is the water at the falls yucky looking, too?
I went couple days ago for two days. Now, Im broke as a joke. Even ihop ripped us off.other than that, it was cool.
@@jenmb2679 The falls are beautiful and blue. It looks exactly like it did in these shots.
@@jenmb2679 haha
To everyone who is reading this, you’re beautiful and an amazing person. Please exercise frequently and eat more fruits/veggies. I wish you all good health, great success, and everlasting happiness!!!
Went two weeks ago with my wife, trust me that’s the best experience I ever had!
Aw I love that!
Where did you guys stay ?
@@Jimilaj I accidentally booked a hotel in Canada 🤦🏻♀️🤣
@@MonicaGoesShow I almost did the same thing 😂😂 that’s why I’m asking
@@Jimilaj we stayed at Best Western Summit Inn ,thirteen to fifteen minutes away from Niagara Falls. They’ve free parking at the hotel.
Watching this video in the parking lot at Niagara while I eat breakfast Super EXCITED LETS GO !
That's awesome! Hope you had fun!
GREAT EPISODE ... safe travels ... we'll be watching!
Thank you so much!
Monica! Nice work! I love your energy! Have a great day and keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
Went there for 2 days. Just left a few hrs ago. Loved it!
That’s awesome!
Went to Niagara Falls last year and yes there's lots to do! I'd love to walk up that bridge behind it next time😃
Great video!
We LOVE our town & you showed it well!!
Go Bills!!!
Aw thanks!
Beautiful views of the fall and well explained guide. Thank you
Thank you so much!
That was a great vacation when I was a kid, went on the Maid of the Mist...I was in a yellow rain coat back in the 1960's...the trip was so awesome. We all had a great time.
Brian Parent that’s awesome!
This is the best video about Niagra falls on a day trip I've seen! Straight to the point not rodeos and beautiful views. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that!
Thank you so much for this video Monica!!!!
Coincidentally we are going Sunday to Niagara Falls!!!!
Nancy Presutti that’s awesome! Have fun!
Epic Monica! Love it, wish I had seen this b4 I hit the falls! ty Im ready for next time
There’s so much great stuff there! On top of the whole natural wonder thing 🤣
Great video - we're looking to come over and see Niagara Falls once the world is safe for travel again - thanks for sharing some really useful information!
Of course! It’s one of those places you just have to see in person for sure!
In 1984 & 85 I drove one of those trains around Goat Island. I'd go to the special collections room at the Niagara Falls Public Library to read old books to pepper my speeches with unique details. Every day when I got off work, I would run down to the Cave of the Winds and run up to the Hurricane Deck. Your experience there put a tear in my eye.
Awww I love that! ❤️
Thank you! Visiting Niagra has always been a dream of mine! This helps me narrow it down.
Awesome! I’m glad it helped.
Me to. I have cancer and would like to go before I die. Hopefully really soon. That’s why I’m reaching. 🤞🤞
True the city of Niagara Falls has major problems but the visit to the Falls is breathtaking and an amazing !!!!
Visit during the day and stay in the tourist areas you will love the experience.
Elvis Cobb totally agree!
@@MonicaGoesShow Visit The Canadian side , the good guys of the world and normal.
Ahhh the green green grass of home!
Very cool! You squeezed a lot in to 24 hours. The maid of the mist is a must!!
Parked America oh for sure!!! It was so cool!

They’re so pretty!

I love too😭but I can't see
One of my best memories of high school
Awesome!!👍👏😎😎 yet another thing I've to put on my list of things to do 😍😁😊😊🌷
Ton van der Zalm yes! Should be on everyone’s list! 😁
Ton van der Zalm don’t go to the Canadian side
Save your money its not worth it, if you really wanna see the falls go to Canada
I was there few times. Live in PA and drove 6 hour from home. But is always a great relaxing experience. Next year go to Canada side.
It’s really very wonderful we went day before day
I’m glad you had a good time!
i used to live outside buffalo and a half a hour away from niagara and it’s honestly an amazing experience
It really is!
That is awesome video. It looks like fun
Deanna B I had a great time!
Really great waterfall 👌👌👌
I've been several time at the Canadian side and only once in the U. S. side for a couple of hours but liked your video for the next time I consider to get to the NY side.
Cheers from Costa Rica!
Thanks! Both sides are amazing 😄
Very exited...
Just bought tickets for the Maid and definitely going to do Cave of the Winds. Really appreciate this video!
Deshone Drummond aw yay thanks! Have fun!
@@MonicaGoesShow any tour package and hotel w best view from ny side you recommend?
Do they provide the poncho,on every attraction or I need to bring my own?future visitor
Thank you, We live nearby, love visiting the Falls, go there twice a month for decades, it never gets old. Both sides have different things to offer, but my perspective is that the Canadian side has a lot of the cheesy tourist attractions, wax museums etc, and American side has much better scenic views and a beautiful maintained State park. You caught a number of my favorites in your video, suggest setting a lawn chair up by the rapids upstream of the Falls, Terrapin point, Bridal View Falls, bands and street vendors on Old Falls Street, riding bikes along the trails, and hiking down Devils Hole, upstream along the river for about 40 minutes - you'll be treated to an outcrop of rocks sitting right in the whirlpool rapids area. You might also enjoy jet boats running up the river from Youngstown to the whirlpool rapids. A mile from the Falls the area is as some of your viewers mentioned, rough, not safe. But stay in or near the park, in the tourist areas, and you'll be fine. I have met many wonderful people from all over the world there. Thanks for showing what is truly a wonder of the world.
The jet boats looked awesome! Great suggestions. Thanks!
I live in Niagara Falls in the summer and it is definitely run down, but don't be paranoid when driving through or if you want to stop at subway or something. China Town chinese food place on Pine Ave is the best Chinese food. I also like The Why Coffee Shop, Main Street Diner, Third Street Retreat, and Power City Eatery.
People are people. It's mostly just a very poor place so it's hard for people to afford the upkeep on their houses, businesses, etc.
I love all of your suggestions. I would also add to visit the Schoelkopf powerplant ruins, near the Discovery Center. You can go down the elevator to the bottom and look up, it is amazing, and you can learn some stuff. The area at the bottom, by the river, is also the area where they store the Maid of the Mist ferry boats. They park them there on the dock at night so you can look at them up close. And in the winter, they bring them up on the deck.
This was very good video to help plan my trip. Thank you.
I’m so glad! I hope you had fun
The night lights at the falls are also spectacular!!
They really are!
This looks awesome
I'd love to explore the American side. My girlfriend and I go to Niagara Falls Canada pretty much every time we're in Ontario and always have a great time. But crossing the border is such a pain these days.
Rob McWhinnie I get that. I believe crossing on foot is a lot easier back and forth if that’s an option.
@@MonicaGoesShow hi there loved the video. Is there other attractions at the Niagara Falls that you can recommend that are as good as Maidin the Mist and Cave in the Wind ? Thanks🙂
I know you are treated like a criminal .
It was so amazing!
Yay glad you had a great time!
Do one on the Canadian side. I’ve always wanted to try that side
My wife and I went in October and it was amazing. We did most of the things on your list, some were closed and it was too cold for the cave of the winds. Definitely didn't miss out on Maid of the mist though. Humbling and incredible experience.
Kelvin Vazquez that’s so awesome! What a beautiful time of the year to go!
Can you do the maid of the mist in early Nov?
going today, would have been my 32 anniversary today. Will be visiting with my daughter, thank you
Have fun! ❤️
@@MonicaGoesShow we had a ball, we did caves of the mist. they are working on the bottom part but the top was just as great.
Watching this on the way to Niagara
I love this! Have fun!
Oh wow, you took great video on your falls tour. I didn't go on a boat tour last time so this is great to see up close (and not get all the spray in your face lol)
Haha thanks!! Yeah it was a great time and I loved getting up close!
Come to Niagara falls canada. There so much free things to do. And not many people know about
Really? We arw going this weekend for my birthday!

Joseph Hinton aww thanks!
i just booked flights, will be there in september with my mom. so excited....
That’s awesome! Have so much fun!
Eat dinner at the restaurant in Canada overlooking the Falls. Used to be the General Sir Isaac Brock.
Mom ate there in 1940. We returned together on the way home from Montreal in 1967. Fond memory.
If you're planning on doing most of the things in this video, don't forget to look into buying a "discovery pass" and saving some money! Also check out the amazing Italian and Indian food (and local wine) NF, NY is known for :)
As a local, I will occasionally buy that discovery pass so that we actually take advantage of living in such a spectacular place
Gracias monica
de nada!
I did all of them except #2 and #4 , cave of the winds was one of the most beautiful refreshing moments in my life! i lovedd the canadian side i felt more comfortable with the people but i prefer the american side for more adventures and more places that the canadian side didnt have!. ❤️ One of the most beautiful places ive been too the trip was everything🤩.
exoliia I agree! Cave of the winds was amazing! Didn’t expect it to be that cool!
Monica Ortega YESSS 🤩
Awesome 👏
I love this place soon I will come back there, also I subscribe your channel
WBJ Adventures thank you so much!
I want to go!!!
If you got a passport you really should check out the Canadian side of the Falls from everything I hear! I got my passport ready and this April I'm gonna check out a few things out there 😉
Thank you so much
I grew up in Buffalo lived there for 50 years. I missse. eing the falls and riding on the maid of the mist. I also miss the anchor bar. Now I live on Denver. If anyone wants to have an experience of of a lifetime go see the falls and take that boat ride
Linda Ryan it’s definitely worth it! Just moved to Denver myself. Can’t wait to make some more videos from over here 😁
I was there at niagara falls few weeks ago too..and it was sooo beautiful
Zeny Timogan it really is! I’ve been there a few times and it takes my breathe away every time
@@MonicaGoesShow where do you live sis? Since i arrived here in the US. i never seen filipina/filipino yet 😔
Zeny Timogan depends on where you go. I live in Los Angeles and we have a lot of cultures and diversity out here!
I live in pennsylvania but i am here now in wyoming coz hubby is working here. And we will go to orlando florida next week for vacation😊
Your beautiful lady!! Great video.
John Hunyady thank you! 😁
I live in both Niagara Falls New York/Canada for nine years. I miss it
Well done! I would advise if you have time, go to Lewiston & visit Fort Niagara. There's great vineyards there too!!
I’ve heard that! Next time for sure
On the Canadian side you can go under the falls. Towards Lake Ontario on the Canadian side is the Whirlpool. Also a lovely town, Niagara on the Lake.
Lewiston Whirlpool Jets are awesome, too. That's a 20 minute drive out into Lewiston, NY though.
Josh Washington sounds awesome!
@@MonicaGoesShow It is! :)
Been at the falls back in 2001. Liked it then. My ex is from there so I had front row seats at the falls.
Gary Bangle Bangle that’s awesome!
Looks fun! I'm thinking about going in Jan.
That would be a fun time to see them partially frozen
@@MonicaGoesShow I am really excited to see NY, and also to get a big cup coffee at Tim Hortons! Thanks so much for the video.
Beautiful place Niagara falls NY in world ❤️🌹I really love 💕
Tengo el privilegio de vivir en Niagara Falls NY y amo este lugar!
Madeline Ramos that’s awesome!
Puede ir uno al lado canadiense sin pasaporte?
@@t0rr3l nooooo! No te dejan pasar. Necesitas pasaporte.
@@MonicaGoesShow yes it is!
I’m going on a road trip there!
NatalieOof nice! Have fun!
same
Planning but wondering what is along the way from nj
Same m going tm
Same
By the way, bit of trivia, Buffalo got its name apparently (read this to a Buffalo resident who themself didn't know), from the early French settlers who saw Niagara falls and declared it a 'beau fleu (unsure spelling), meaning beautiful river.. hence Buffalo.
So cool! Thanks for the trivia!
False. Buffalo is called Buffalo because before it was a city it was home to millions of ACTUAL Buffalo.
Which were then all hunted to near extinction...
@@josephaugstell6194 A rate agreement with you
Bucklist list travel🙂
Prasanna Pradhan great goal! It’s definitely amazing in person!
Good morning 🌞😃☀️. This is a great video. How we get guide from you to visit Niagara Falls and many more. Thanks 🙏

Great video
Thank you!
A beautiful place, one day I want to visit it, I come from Indonesia, I am happy with tourist attractions
I LOVE TO TRAVEL,!!! IM THERE!!!
My sister & brother in law are there now . We were born & raised there, so NF,NY holds a special place for us They are buying our old home near Devil's Hole, a must see!
Nice! That’s a gorgeous area!
From experience, a lot of experience (I lived there for 18 years and worked for NYS Parks with tourists), you could not do these 7 things in any enjoyable fashion in 24 hours. I would say at least about 48 hours. If you extend to 72 hours, you could add Power Vista, ArtPark hike, Fort Niagara, and Lake Ontario beach (a tight squeeze).
Add another 36 hours and pick up sights in Canada like Queen Victoria Park, Clifton Hill, Skylon Tower, the Butterfly Conservatory, Spanish Aerocar, Brock's Monument, and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Great suggestions! I do wish I had more time to spend in some of those areas! Reasons to go back right?
I just went to the NY side in October, you can do everything in the park as long as you get up early in the morning to get your ticket to beat the line for Maid of the Mist and buy Cave of the Wind tickets before they sell out. In my experience, the park wasn’t as big as I thought it would be.
Ray nailed it. This area is such a rich mine of incredible experiences. Everyone needs to do it.
Btw: no one mentioned the jet boats.
I live there. Hell, that trail you started the video on is less than a 2 minute walk from my house. I go there a ton. My best advice for visitors is to go to the Canadian side and stay there. It’s way nicer. The US side (my side) is full of crackheads and you will get robbed. Canadian sides expensive but safe
Exactly what im saying
Yeah I live here and have my entire life and the one thing is I must carry a knife no matter where I ho, I'll even bring it to school and that no one notices shows just how bad it is
@@morgenbrown4789 yeah i had to do the samething(kept a lil pocket knife on me, especially when i was going to middle school... Like its fucking CRAZY, I CANT WAIT TO MOVE TO 🇨🇦
Morgen Brown if youre talking about my school, nfhs, then yeah you need some sort of defense honestly. I have no idea about wheatfield or lewport or any of the other schools nearby but nfhs is essentially lawless
Morgen Brown holy shit, I go to GIHS. I knew NF wasn’t the greatest but that’s insane
Great video.
Thanks!
Very good video.

went to Niagara falls our honey moon 2 weeks ago its was awesome lm very happy!!!
That’s wonderful! And congratulations!
Did you walk around at night.. going in 2 weeks but these comments gott me scared.. we coming from the midwest
@@CaDi_leE I did (even as a solo female traveler) but I stayed in the tourist areas. Make sure to be aware of your surroundings and not go through dark areas. It's worth parking close if you want to walk around at night. You'll be fine if you stick to the main strip.
Bonita experiencia en las cataratas. Yo fui a ir y me copio la nevada del 6 de enero que duró 4 días y tuve que regresar a Florida, lo volveré a intentar en el verano. De que país eres porque eres latina??🇨🇺
Monica I am jealous. You do some traveling lil lady.❤🌷
Thank you so much!
Nice Video keep sharing...Merry Christmas happy new Year ...from Massachusetts USA
BHUPENDRA USA thank you! One of the states I have yet to get to!
Still one of my fav places I've been. Much love from the UK. The Candian side IS way prettier as per the comment below, I agree. Clifton Hill is great too and awesome to hear the falls as you make your way down that Casino and party strip. The US Buffalo side is good, but yeah Canadian side is better. I didn't get robbed (as per comment below), walked along the Niagara river and was with someone from the Buffalo area who knew the place well, but yeah best side is the Canadian without a doubt. We had dinner in an awesome Korean restaurant somewhere beyond Clifton hill, maybe a side street, was 20 years ago.
Abigail B that all sounds so nice!
Is the Observation Deck and the falls balcony on the US or Canadian side?
New York side
I’m going this fall what should I pack?? I see you were wearing a jacket your whole video were you chilly while the water was hitting you? Thank you, great video!
Thanks! I was comfortable in my layers. I went in September a few years ago so your best bet would be to check the weather when it gets closer to your trip but I recommend layers. Have fun!
@@MonicaGoesShow thank you!!
the maid of mist and cave of winds are short walking distance from each other?
to do everything, you need about 4 days or so...maybe 5 tops. It's wonderful....I'd recommend it. We took our young son when he was in 3rd grade. He ABSOLUTELY loved it!...so yes, young kids think it's great too. I admit, when we took him on the "Maid of the Mist"...he was scared shitless....then again so was I. It was a rush and a half. You got to do it before you die......bucket-list it!
So beautiful ❤️
It really is!
