    Isn't it amazing how managing the forrest minimized the damage from wild fires.
    Great video my two-wheeling brother. I'm in the Bayside area between Eureka & Arcata.

      Always great to hear from a local!
      The Six Rivers National Forest is in our own backyard so managing it for Wild fire will be in everyone’s best interest.
      Thanks for watching, and more videos like this are coming soon…🍻😎

      @@NorthboundMotorcycleADV they haven't been able to thin that much here in north central WA.; there are tons of places where the deadfall's too thick to even walk through. Problem is, every time they begin to clean things up and do prescribed burns, some bunch from Seattle takes them to court. Then, when fire gets out of control, it's so hot it sterilizes everything. We drew elk tags in a GMU south of Cle Elum that was like that. There weren't even any insects in the burned area, and all the elk were on peoples' yards in town. the fire was some years before this, and while there were forbs growing, almost no trees, and no critters at all. We scouted for several days and didn't even see tracks.

    Excelled video Forest, love this. Seeing Mother Nature starting to repair the damage done by the fire, life beginning a new. Stunning views and the solitude, perfect. I heartily wish the Forestry Commission in the UK would us to ride on their land. thanks again Forrest, ride safe my friend. Cheers Neil from England

      Thanks for the comment Neil, living out here in the western part of the
      U.S. we have A LOT of public land to ride, camp, fish, hunt, and anything else that is fun and good in the world to do in the woods. I’m very blessed in that regard and I’m very grateful to be able to share a little bit of my part of the world with everyone…

      The campground has four sites on the lake, but I think that spot is the best! Thanks for riding along, the whole trail will take 4 to 5 days to complete from end to end and I plan on making the trip later this summer!
      Thanks again for watching 🍻😎

    Excellent footage Forrest. Forever intrigued with your knowledge of the great outdoors. Still sleeping on the ground outside is a thrill I dont participate in anymore due to poor career choice.
    The Mud Runner looks sharp as always and the sound of your engine is like a highly sought after ride cymbal. I set my tappets to your tune. My Himalayan left the building and never went back. I believe most of us do the minor maintenance.
    Stay Fresh Brother!
    Hoping Sister Janet is well.

      Thanks! I had a great time out on this ride. I spend a lot of time out in that area with work so I know it pretty well.
      Heartbreaking to watch it burn up a few year back but now it’s starting to recover and is beautiful in a new and different way…
      Love the mountains of Northern California….
      Thanks again for watching….🍻😎

    Good morning to you, just awoke to a beautiful Saturday morning as I see you did as well, or what ever day it was for you. Looked like a real cool spot you were camped at, looked like a beautiful ride as well, glad to see green coming back through in a devastated area, yes our many travels out west we encountered fire destroyed areas as well as many firefighters along the way, especially in Idaho, sad to see but part of it. Forest just curious about something just I’m an aged guy and I’m not sure of how things work in the electronic world, some I understand but a lot I don’t, that last shot you did down by the river or lake, how did u make that video, I mean is that done with a drone or u set up a camera that follows you some how, I know no ones with you, just curious how that is done, anyway beautiful ride as always, look forward to the next. Take care hang in there. Rob Al.

    • @NorthboundMotorcycleADV
      @NorthboundMotorcycleADV  4 місяці тому +1

      Always good to hear from ya Rob!
      To answer your question, I don’t have a drone (Yet 😎) but I am using a 360degree camera that can literally film everything while I’m riding. Then when I get home and put the film on the computer I can tell it where I want it to look. It also has to ability to track a target and follow it. That is what I did at the end there.
      Pretty neat stuff really.
      Thanks again for watching my friend and more is one the way…🍻😎

    I’ve got a Kawasaki Z 400. Do you think street tires could handle some of those roads? And do you need a riding buddy? I am from Concord.

    • @NorthboundMotorcycleADV
      @NorthboundMotorcycleADV  4 місяці тому

      I think you would be fine for most of those roads. I ride solo most of the time but a riding buddy is never a bad idea….Thanks for watching!

      Most main 'USFS' roads are (or were) chip-sealed. In good weather, no problem... but... USFS doesn't maintain their roads, big problem are the potholes and encroaching brush/logs ! Ride slow and stay out of them and you will be fine. If you ride solo... get a Garmin/SPOT/Zoleo Emergency communicator. Carry a tire pump and repair kit, bit of extra food, emergency tarp, first aid kit, water, and matches. Then relax, enjoy the forests, and have fun.

    Another great video, Forrest! What a beautiful area! I’m a bit surprised that you find all these back roads without a GPS unit. But then I remember this is literally like your office. Great content! Can’t wait to see more!
