This is the kind of review of the new Himmy I wanted, it's about the ride in context not just the bike if that makes sense? It looks a complete departure from the RE heritage. I had kinda hoped they might just have pushed the single pot to 500cc and kept it air cooled. You look so happy back where it all started looking forward to the next episode 😊

Absolutely smart move their new bike will get so many buyers after seeing Noraly put it through its paces. I am impressed that it purrs like a kitten and rides like a dream. Starts every time love it. Hubby had bikes over the years and eve the new ones l recall he had to really put his back into kick starting it which turned me off bike's altogether. I am very small l ,new l could never start one if l had to fight to get it started every time. His pricey Harley was the same and to dam noisy l hated it.
The reason I got one is because of her channel. Never would I have thought that a $4999 adventure motorcycle would be so tough and reliable until I saw her videos. Cant imagine how many other people bought because of her.
Dear Noraly, You have done a lot for Royal Enfield and India. I am glad that RE is finally acknowledging it and expressing its gratitude. Indians like us are expressing our gratitude in silence 🙏🇮🇳🇳🇱
I'm glad that Royal Enfield recognized how much of an ambassador you were/are for their brand and let you test the new model. You're journeys been some of the best examples of what the old Himalayan is capable of, and this new one looks way more capable! Take note, Honda!

This is a bit of an emotional "deja vu" for me. i am 68. My great grandparents on both my parents' side came from India as Indentured labourers to work on the cocoa and sugar plantations on this Caribbean island where I live. I have seen every video that Noraly has produced, from S1 onwards. To see her back in India at the Genesis of her recorded adventures is somewhat nostalgic and touching. I know she has had some heartwarming exchanges with Eastern people during her travels. And now to be on another Royal Enfield tops up the cake. I hope she has a flawless adventure with Basant2. Just earlier this week I reviewed some videos of S1 and was enjoying the sound of Basanti, much deeper than that of Alaska ! I hope the RE company gives you the recognition you deserve ! All the best Noraly. Regards. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies
I'm also from Trinidad. To Noraly, i must say , Your camera are our eyes to the world. Be safe and we look forward to seeing the great adventures in store in India.
What a wonderful message to read, Sir, in these troubled times a message of nostalgia and good sentiment. Noraly is truly a wonderful ambassador for peace and understanding.
Thank you for sharing your family story and your thoughts on Noraly’s adventures. I too have watched all her episodes since the beginning and I feel like I know her! I hope Noraly has a great time in India.
Indentured labour yea, we read that in our history book over here in India. And they mention some names like Chandrapaul, Sarvan etc. We over here really love Windies cricket, hope they will do great again. Love to see roaring fast bowler of windes.
Me for one. I sold my Gold Wing several years ago, got old somewhere along the way, and now I am ready once again to go riding. I looked at the 2023 RE Hiimalayas, done some research and decided that I was waiting for the new one. I am in midwestern United States and am chomping at the bit for the new model to get here! This is the first one that I have saw in the wild. Great looking machine.
@@joeblow1934 I sold my 77 Goldwing, GL 1000 touring set up and moved from Southern Maryland to Colombia SA. In the Andes I was really missing having a touring capable bike that had the power for the mountains. I finally bought a 2021 Himalayan with full luggage and crash bars. My wife and I love the bike. It does everything the GL 1000 did, only a little slower, but 81 mpg fully loaded with two which is a huge improvement over 37mpg. It is really fun and with lots of torque on the back roads but it is lacking on the highway. And my bike like many, has issues with stalling at idle. I do like the low rpm torque, and am wondering how the new Himmy would handle the 45 degree inclined mountain roads around here. I have seen V-Strom 650's struggling up some of the inclines that my long stroke just thumps up with no effort with two riders and a full load. I am guessing that the new version will be more aimed at street riding like the V-Strom. Probably much better suited for US riding, so you are much better off waiting and trying the 2023 and 2024. Myself, I am thinking of getting a Super Meteor 650 and setting it up with luggage and windshield for the highway rides.
They must have changed the gearing to make it feel "twice as powerful", 411cc engine still rated at a pathetic 24.3 horsepower, which is just UNDER my CRF250L. R.E. could easily double their sales if they brought the bike into this millennia.
I vividly remember your first vlog with 126 subscribers, riding Basanti. Now, coming back after 5 years, as a more experienced and seasoned vlogger, with an astonishing 1.8 million subscribers, this life of yours couldn't get better than this. Kudos to you!
That’s exactly what RE needed to do with the Himalayan: modernize it and add a modicum of power (a lot, by Indian market standards, where 200cc bikes are large capacity). The engine seems to have handled the high elevation very well; sounds strong. I hope they also improved some of the components that wore out too easily with Basanti. It’s truly an honor that they allowed you to publicly test the revised bike. Also, the Mosko Moto kit looks great. It seems that the world is on the raw edge right now, and this video, including that tranquil and beautiful landscape, provides very welcome relief.
Ain't nobody terms 200 cc bike a large capacity in India.....bikes in Asia as a whole are seen as economical point A to B travel unlike West where they are more of leisurely things ....you would be surprised to know that most selling capacity in Asia is 110-125 cc
@@DHS562 you just said what he said...anyways "large bike" in india is basically something that makes around 40ish bhp. Pretty much any a2 class is seen as a big bike here.
Actually I like RE for building "old-fashioned" bikes, kind of like Harley Davidson did. The new liquid cooled engine looks like any other engine. I miss the tall cylinder and the cooling fins! But I also know that long-stroke engines with carburators are a thing of the past.
@davidkettell6236 your power of comprehension is visible.stay away from making any conjecture. India will be the third largest economy of the world by 2027. I guess you should just oil your own machine, mate.

RE has done the best job by giving you the honour to ride the model in the pre delivery phase, that shows how much you mean to the brand, ride safe and have a happy stay, much love!
I remember meeting Noraly high in the himalayas with my good friends from Ireland 🇮🇪. So impressed with her travelling alone then before her UA-cam channel and itchy boots handle.. I never imagined you would become so well known. All your success is well deserved Noraly. Well done 👏
YES! Knew you were riding the new enfield!!! So nice to see the brand have some recognition from one of the best vloggers/influencers of the OG himalayan
As an Indian, even I am fascinated by the diversity and beauty of the landscape. I can well imagine why so many travel vloggers want to travel in India for content. 👏🏽

Noraly, this brings back a flood of memories from your early adventures in India with Basanti! I have rewatched a lot of those episodes while you were on break. I’m glad you are back riding again. Royal Enfield is to be celebrated for providing this new pre-production Himalayan. Ride safe and have fun!
VERY GLAD to see you back in the saddle Nora !!! LOVE the exotic locals you get to visit, the colors, people, food, customs, and natural beauty of it all. MANY THANX, and happy, continued, bon voyage !!!
What an amazing experience riding the pre production bike. It looks very smart. You’re clearly the best person to be testing and riding this. Hopefully Royal Enfield will endorse you and give you one! Another superb video x
You are not even Indian, but it feels like you are back home. 😂 Welcome back, I hope you have a great trip with the new Himalayan. Looking forward to seeing you explore the entire Landscape of India from North to South, East to West. Love watching your videos 😍 🧘♂️🙏
😂😂😂 The kids at the end and their Hindi accent was so cute. Also, this brought back memories from the past when I saw your initial videos and subscribed. So happy for your journey in life ❤🇮🇳
You sounded so genuinely happy to be back in the saddle - on a new bike - in a country you so obviously love. Travel safe, travel well - its great to see you back doing what you love. Now we can have a daily dose of your life once again. You kept me sane throughout lock-downs and brought cheer and a smile at your achievements. Ride with the wind - be at one with it...
All royal enfield are tested here... It's not just himalayan.. Even their 350 work fine at such heights and riders in India use classic 350 for adventure in Leh Ladakh/kashmir... Reason is pretty simple... All Indian car/bikes are tested here before launching... Without getting tested in such heights no made in India products are sold...
Naturally aspirated engines will obviously perform at their best power at sea level, but the rarified air at high altitude will obviously mean % lower maximum horse power, but should still run fairly smoothly.
Never thought that your come back would be this AMAZING 😊... From the pre-prod Himalayan bike to the serene, beautiful mountain ride and turquoise colored river... All was so breathtaking. And most of all, we are all happy to see you again, hand healed and continuously recovering. You were missed a great deal Noraly but welcome back🎉
Many years ago I rode an Enfield Bullet up to Kahdung La. The 'road' was diabolical, there were many crumpled trucks and cars down the bottom of the ravines and the traffic was terrifying. I have never forgotten that ride and I thank you for bringing it all back to me. The improvements to the road are astounding but the challenge is still there. Good on you!!
RE finally used their brain after seeing how much influence you gave your viewers with Basanti and Dhanno. Congratulations! You should be Royal Enfield's Ambassador! By the way, where is Basanti now?
Going back memory lane I used to ride a RE in my younger days but it was a far cry from the one you have. I and my daugter who is a Cardiologist in the US find time to watch your journeys and I have learnt a lot of Geopraphy from your travels. May the travel bug be with you always!!!!!
Noraly riding at 17,982 feet. The highest point in Australia is 7,309 not even halfway there. I've been a subscriber since Nov 2018 & I am just more impressed every day.
Love from India and thanks for exploring our country. There may be beautiful countries in the World but there is no other country which is more magical than India ❤❤
I experience an overwhelming sense of goodness with the world every time I watch your stunning work. Thanks for doing, in your simple way, an important part of bringing the world together. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
I have always found India fascinating ... Mostly because the people I have met from India are so gracious and friendly . India is also an incredible source of ancient history much like Egypt . I hope you bring that out in your videos . As always you seem to be a more truthful source of current news ...especially western news . Happy trails PK
Wow, Noraly! What an amazing journey. It was SO beautiful, and so interesting. Those little children were delightful. I’m also loving the new Himalayan. That navigation system is surely a game-changer. Happy Trails!
I started watching Noraly's vlogs literally from the first episode when she rode the outgoing himalayan 5 years ago and now she is testing the pre production version of the new himalayan. It sure is as she says life has come full circle. Amazing to be a fan of Noraly and Royal Enfield. Love you guys Say whatever you want but Royal Enfield sure knows how to market their product.
I can't tell you how good it is to see you back on the road again, and away from rally driving. Your great strength is on these long tours. Its your natural element. The scenery on this ride is spectacular. That road is well maintained, because its a sensitive border area, with police and army checkpoints. Be a bit cautious about flying that drone. I'm so glad your hand healed up well, Noraly. I look forward to more Himalayan riding.
Welcome to India once again Noraly. Nothing like riding through the rider's paradise, and your vivid drone shots make the spectacular scenery more spectacular.
Africa worried me. I know the continent quite well, having lived there for many years. I would not ride a motorbike down the west side of the continent. Incredibly brave and quite dangerous. On the other hand, the east side is less dangerous (provided you do your homework). India, much more predictable and considerably safer. So pleased to be 'joining you' on your next adventure! Look forward to the episodes! Stay safe!
Don't say that As an Indian who have visited African Continent I won't call it dangerous as people say...trust me I have felt more Scared in Some Parts of Europe than in certain parts of Africa... But Gonna Admit the Riding across West Coast was Comparetively bit difficult than east because of the Local authorities for some reason appered to be more rigid....People more or less had same behavior ( I mean more Curious - to see what an Indian Is Doing here other than Business).
apart of europe ,australia,Japan, korea. India is as safe as any you could get and very safe for a developing country in terms of crime and homicide rates
@@VARMOT123India has lesser crime & as you said homicide rate (per capita) than all those countries you've mentioned apart from maybe Japan, probably? It's pretty obvious in this series
Hey Itchy Boots ! Welcome back to the channel! It must be heart warming to return and visit these special places. I know India has a special place in your heart and so does RE Himaleyan. Noraly hits 17,982 feet elevation on a motorcycle without batting an eye! And neither does the bike! Aircraft need to pressurize cabin around the level. Back where it all started Noraly! And in such a poetic way, going back as a seasoned rider! and look, once you had no followers but a dream, now an army is "riding" with you along this dream!
I appreciate Noraly’s comment about “naked mountains” and being able to see the geology. I recently traveled to Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee USA to see the fall foliage. Although the colors are amazing, I also prefer the “naked mountains” of the west. I had never heard that expression before…Thanks Noraly!!
Geologists refer to the grass as “hairing it over.” Geologists don’t like it, as they want to see the layers. It’s not just appearance in the eastern U.S. The higher rainfall will erode rock cuts faster and wash gravel and such down onto the road if there is no grass.
Welcome to India..Really surprised to see those internal village roads from your vlog.. even our Indian motovlogers start at hotel balcony and end at hotel balcony ( motovloging in between). Your approach towards people and places is unique. That’s why your content is different and superior from other influencers.
Hey Noraly! It's great to have you back in India. Full circle indeed! I love the fact that the first proper visuals of the bike up close are actually coming to use form you rather than Royal Enfield itself. It's lovely knowing that you've built such a strong community around the work you do, to be given a pre-production bike to ride around the Himalayas. All the best, and I hope you recover soon!
Looks like RE figured out more than the tech specs! Great to see you have this level of their awareness, you certainly have earned their respect. People out here is actuality land actually care what you have to say about things. What fun to see all of it: India, the ride, the bike and you’re recovery!!! Yay.
So so great to see you back one the road after your injury. Same spark and great ability to show the world unique places from an adventure bike prospective.
engine is still single-cylinder, but now liquid-cooled. Cubic capacity has increased to 451.65 cc. and its performance almost doubled and reaches 41 hp. The length of the Himalayan 450 is 2,245 meters with a wheelbase of 1,510 meters. The height is 1,316 meters and the width is 852 millimeters. The suspension is upgraded with a 43mm inverted fork up front and an adjustable rear shock. In terms of equipment, it is certain that the new Himalayan will have a TFT information screen with a connectivity system and Turn/Turn navigation. The wheels are 21-inch spoked front and 17-inch rear, while the brakes will have dual-channel ABS
Royal enfield missed a big time opportunity, but they will definitely introduce a twin cylinder version. Believe me the day, Royal enfield releases Himalayan twin cylinder 650cc liquid cooled putting out 69-72hp That will be the day RE will outsell every single bike not just in the category part will chase even tigers category.

Lovely remembrance of your family history. I too have watched every video of Itchy Boots since S1. Episode 1. So happy Noraly is well and in India.
This video makes me miss India so much. Beautiful country. I loved how many people grew flower gardens.
You have no idea how eagerly Royal Enfield fans are waiting for this bike.
Hats off to Enfield , you earned this respect 👍👍👍.
Mehhh overweight, underpowered.
@@grandenauto3214are you of UA-cam's,' virtual racer gang 😜'.
@@DHS562just a basic need and for practicality.

Turtuk, and the locals are utterly charming! Thank you for the vivid scenery footage too! Beautiful India 🙏🏻
So nice to see you back. India looks charming and the people friendly. Good luck on your new adventures.
Noraly also looked well rested and ready for another adventure.
As a 2016 Himalayan owner , I am happy RE has chosen Noraly to test their new version extensively ! well deserved Noraly!
I am amazed that the new Himalayan ran well at high altitude - almost 18,000 feet. Nice to know how reliable the bike is.
All royal enfield are tested here... It's not just himalayan.. Even their 350 work fine at such heights and riders in India use classic 350 for adventure in Leh Ladakh/kashmir...
Reason is pretty simple... All Indian car/bikes are tested here before launching... Without getting tested in such heights no made in India products are sold...
tuning a fuel injected bike isn't hard in this day n age lol.
Built for local people to use and enjoy in this exact type of environment 👍
Naturally aspirated engines will obviously perform at their best power at sea level, but the rarified air at high altitude will obviously mean % lower maximum horse power, but should still run fairly smoothly.
The name justifies it right, else they would have named it Ganga😂😂
Wow beautiful country and those little angels ❤️ later 😎🇺🇸
Never thought that your come back would be this AMAZING 😊... From the pre-prod Himalayan bike to the serene, beautiful mountain ride and turquoise colored river... All was so breathtaking.
And most of all, we are all happy to see you again, hand healed and continuously recovering.
You were missed a great deal Noraly but welcome back🎉
The Queen of Adventure motorcycling to officially ride the New Himalayan, what an honor and masterstroke by RE.
Same here mate, back in 2008. Really would love to do again. Roads look so much better
Now the roads are very nice compare to old ...yrs back
Now the roads and expressways are far better than any other Asian nations. Come back soon bro.
Roads are comparatively better, but still unpredictable due to landslides. Leh Ladak ride is a ride of passage for Indian riders.
India is now focusing on its Infrastructure much better, still a long way to go but you will see the improvements as India develops.
RE finally used their brain after seeing how much influence you gave your viewers with Basanti and Dhanno. Congratulations!
You should be Royal Enfield's Ambassador!
By the way, where is Basanti now?
Finally used their brain? Funny man😢
Going back memory lane I used to ride a RE in my younger days but it was a far cry from the one you have. I and my daugter who is a Cardiologist in the US find time to watch your journeys and I have learnt a lot of Geopraphy from your travels. May the travel bug be with you always!!!!!

I started watching Noraly's vlogs literally from the first episode when she rode the outgoing himalayan 5 years ago and now she is testing the pre production version of the new himalayan. It sure is as she says life has come full circle. Amazing to be a fan of Noraly and Royal Enfield. Love you guys

I can't tell you how good it is to see you back on the road again, and away from rally
driving. Your great strength is on these long tours. Its your natural element.
The scenery on this ride is spectacular. That road is well maintained, because its
a sensitive border area, with police and army checkpoints. Be a bit cautious about
flying that drone. I'm so glad your hand healed up well, Noraly. I look forward to more
Himalayan riding.
Welcome to India once again Noraly. Nothing like riding through the rider's paradise, and your vivid drone shots make the spectacular scenery more spectacular.
The world needs more people like you 😊It is such a breath of fresh air watching all the content you have been putting out. More power to you!

Those two kid showing up the way stole my heart❤❤. I smiled from the inside of my heart 😊😊

If you don't mind I would rather say that Himalayan league has to be different..
I think the water cooled single is a much better match for this bike. The 650 twin would be too heavy. For this kind of bike, lighter is better. It appears to have adequate power even in the high elevations.
