Thank you very much for the video! I've been planning to build 5F1 myself and I think I'll go with Eminence with it. I really like that warm and round clean sound.
Weber Chicago Vintage Series Alnico CVA8 is my favorite out of all the 8's i have tried. Unlike many players I prefer to set the amp around 3 - lovely cleans and surprisingly good pedal platform. Great for those times when volume is an issue. Thank you, love these comprehensive speaker comparisons.
The WGS G8C works well in my 74 Champ and takes overdrive pedals without getting muddy cheers !!BTW plug a champ into a 1/12 cabnet for a big surprise you will be suprised how loud 5 watts can be !😊
I think the "magic" speaker you are wanting will be a 10" speaker. Eight inch speakers just sound small to me. Of these presented, I think I preferred the old Epiphone Junior speaker the most, followed by the Celestion. Alnico magnets in an 8" speaker just seems like a waste of effort, they are much better in ten or twelve inch speakers.
They all sound great. What's the 'generic' from the epiphone? Is that from the combo? I bought the amp/speaker bin new. Pretty sure it has a 10" Eminence driver. It sounds beautiful.
@aphekrecordingstudio4274 . The combo, yeah? I'm looking at mine right now. It's not the combo, it's the amp/speaker bin version. It's still got it's tag that says 'Eminence inside '. Thanks for the vid. Excellent!
@@markbryant4641 Okay. This one doesn’t say anything. Also an 8” speaker. You’d think Eminence would be a selling point, which is why I assumed Chinese manufacture.
Not legend; truth. Or Clapton, Walsh, Lage, and countless other artists had bad producers 😊. The Epiphone speaker sounded best to me, but all would work except for the Celestion, which I didn’t care for at all. The Eminence, Weber, and WGS were all great and easily obtained.

I have one, in one of my 2. Works well and rounds off some of the high end fizz.

I haven’t tried that Weber, but agree on keeping them around 3. I rarely have them past 4. I’d like to though. 😁

The Epiphone is a Weber Sig 8 Ceramic and I think it sounds best.

I think the celestion sounded the best by far.
The Celestion is truly horrific. I guess the Weber Sig is the best of the bunch?
I’ve never been disappointed in a Celestion before.
They all sound great.

Out of an Epiphone Valve Jnr. Generic, only as it doesn’t have any brand markings. I assume made in China, but that’s just a guess.
