As a synthetic/wool dread maker. If these crochet dreads begin to unravel or "nap" up. All you need to do is twist down the area and hot steam it flat down again. If you do not have a steamer just take a thin damp cloth over the twisted dread and slightly clamp a flat iron down on it fr a few seconds and done! ooooooooooor take the dread out , twist, than dip in hot water.
I actually purchased these dread crochets ...because i am too prego and lazy to hand make my own dreads. I must stay they are really nice! I would suggest retwisting the bottoms for a more natural dread look.
I've been watching tutorials all day because I really want to try this but I was kind of scared to try and you gave me the confidence I needed thank you so much !!
YES. Crochet locs are the way to go! You do yours the way I do mine, but I only do the crown in individuals. I do the ponytail braiding pattern for crochet braids for the rest of my head. So easy, so less time consuming, and you come out with a natural looking product. People think this is my own damn hair.
Thanks for this video. It helped me to install my crochet goddess locs. I love the Freetress hair and the style. It is truly lightweight. I only used three packs with one loc left in the 3rd pack.
These are beautiful, You are beautiful. I have natural locs but here lately alot of my customers have been asking for Faux locs. I am currently working on a client and she has this exact hair. I tried the pull through method and it doesnt look good at all. You just saved my day. I was stressing😂😂. Thank you sooo much!!! Keep up the great work.
Kay Smith yeah I wouldn't do it all in one day i was tired after as well next time I will mostly do the regular crochet and do but the front in individual way lol
It came out super pretty sis! I like that they are not all the same size too. I mean real locs are not uniform. I want to get crochets so bad right now but I'm scared about this weather. It is so hot! Lol.
+Aisa Kemp thank you sis!! I agree i had them in when it was still a little cool out so I'm not sure if they would make you too hot but I have some more packs and will definitely be installing sometime this summer
first of all thts a beautiful job nd i will definitely try it bt why mix cornrows wth braids??? why not cornrow hair completely? seems it wld b a lot easier? wld you pls explain th diff???
yesss girl i wrap my goddess locs and most of the time i dont even finish my whole head i leave the middle undone and wear it half up half down lmao. I need to get these asap #RWOYT
Girllll! I'm in love with this. I had the original Freetress wavy locs with out the goodess curls & just re-purchased them. I'm so sad I didn't see these 1st! #newsubbie
Did it hurt to install these? The last time I got crochet braids it hurt sooo bad!! I wasn’t sure if the lady braided my hair too tight or if I am just tender headed...... yours are beautiful and I want to try them again just with a different beautician
Yeah I could see mine a little bit as well because I didn't wrap close enough to my root but you can always go in with some braiding hair and wrap the roots
+Missy Vintage Esq. Yes you can I think that would be much faster. The locs are on the skinnier side though so it might take you a little minute but I'd say go for it
I hope I don't sound like a creep. Lol. But I think I saw you at my local Walmart today? If so your locs look absolutely amazing! So natural looking! And you are stunning 😍😘😘
😩 Kapri, honey, I've been looking for birthday styles and you just gave it to me!!! 😁 so 2 things... 1. How long will these last? You pretty much know my hair type and texture. 2. How do I get these things out without cutting my hair?!?! Lol
aja jackson it will last about 4 weeks if you keep it wrapped up every night and you just unravel then and slide them out now some of them you may have to cut out but you will be fine
I would say 6-8 weeks depending on how you take care of them at night. since the are soft they frizz up alot but you can dip them as well to help with that
Reini Pink I kept mine in for about 3 weeks but I could have gone longer I was just ready to wash and deep condition my hair. I would say if you sleep with it protected you could get a good 4-6 weeks the curls will drop though but that's an easy fix
Thanks including braiding my hair and all the trial and error I had wrapping the locs and taking breaks it took about 4 hours just depends on if you get the wrapping down it gets easier as you work your way around your head and build that muscle memory but in the beginning it's a struggle lol
OMGossshhh i love all of the styling options. now do you experience any of your haor unraveling coming out of the faux loc, having to retwist alot? because that's my fear
Anumi thank you and yes I have had to re wrap some of my hair because the ends start to stick out ever so often... I don't have that issue in the front only because I don't really sleep on those locs as much ...so next time I'm only going to do the wrapping method in the very front and do the rest in regular crochet
As a synthetic/wool dread maker. If these crochet dreads begin to unravel or "nap" up. All you need to do is twist down the area and hot steam it flat down again. If you do not have a steamer just take a thin damp cloth over the twisted dread and slightly clamp a flat iron down on it fr a few seconds and done! ooooooooooor take the dread out , twist, than dip in hot water.
marie lopez thank you!!!!! when I install these again this will help a lot
Anytime hun! my clients have kept up my dreads for YEARS with these methods
idk who you are but I love you! Now I feel confident trying this style
I actually purchased these dread crochets ...because i am too prego and lazy to hand make my own dreads. I must stay they are really nice! I would suggest retwisting the bottoms for a more natural dread look.
marie lopez when you say retwist the bottom...can you explain more? I'm going to try these this weekend on my daughter.

Julissa Robinson thank you sooooooo much!!!!! You're very welcome:)
I thought about wrapping it too. Was exhausted after putting them in.
Kay Smith yeah I wouldn't do it all in one day i was tired after as well next time I will mostly do the regular crochet and do but the front in individual way lol
I was wondering if you can use little black rubber bands to get the short hair twisted in the locs instead of braiding? (jazz nicole method)

IM GETTING THESE FOR BACK TO SCHOOL !
I've tried this method. You. See the braid at the roots still
Yeah I could see mine a little bit as well because I didn't wrap close enough to my root but you can always go in with some braiding hair and wrap the roots
Can you pul the braid through with the latch hook?
+Missy Vintage Esq. Yes you can I think that would be much faster. The locs are on the skinnier side though so it might take you a little minute but I'd say go for it
Does the hair feels heavy on ur head
I really like this method! how many rows of individuals did you do in the front and back?
Chanae' Wami 4 rows in the front 2 rows in the back and sides
Did you wash or swim with this hair without it getting matted
+asiatanae I didn't wash them or swim in them
Did you have a problem with your braids sliding out of loc? Mine keep sliding up at the top
Lea Williams not really at the top but the ends of my hair would pop out a lot

Does anyone know if these goddess locs are good for swimming?
Yes
Hello :) Do these make your scalp itch?
Tanisha Lewis they didn't make mine itch but crochet hair doesn't really affect me like it does a lot of other people
OMGossshhh i love all of the styling options. now do you experience any of your haor unraveling coming out of the faux loc, having to retwist alot? because that's my fear
Anumi thank you and yes I have had to re wrap some of my hair because the ends start to stick out ever so often...
