- Happy 2022!! :) Yall I am so in love with this style! I've been doing my hair like this for months and I have yet to get tired of it haha. This video shows how I get the layered look I started doing towards October 2021. Before that, I parted my hair the exact same and just used 5 packs of the 18" all over. (The thumbnail shows both looks. The layered version is on the left & the 18" is on the right)

I’m about to get these locs installed for the 3rd time! I am obsessed! They are just amazing! The style is so versatile! I buy mine from xtrend and I first got 24” that was beautiful! This last time I did all 18” and got a sew in installed and I am so miserable ha ha! So I just ordered 18” and “14”! I can’t wait!

This is gorgeous. Do the root stay secured enough or do they pull out of your natural hair. And does this hairstyle last for at least 2 months?
I’ve never had a problem with the hair coming out or slipping since I braid the root and my texture is so kinky. And yes, I usually wear mine for 2 months!

This is so beautiful. Is the take down process difficult? Id be nervous about matting.
Thank you! Take down is not difficult at all with this method. When I crocheted the hair in it was a doozy to take out because of the matting. That's why I install it this way now. Forgot to mention that!

Hey there just wondering about how long it takes you to install your full head? I used to do this stuff myself but unfortunately tendonitis and arthritis after an accident and have not found a great person in L.A. yet to do it for me. But curious the roundabout average time frame, whether I sit for it with someone else (which could get uncomfortable due to lingering spine/neck/joint challenges) or if I instead attempt it again myself now where I can maybe hideaway for a weekend and do it incrementally, break it up as I can tolerate. Looks gorgeous on you!
