This video is awesome! I'm located about 2 hours or so down from where the video this video was recorded. A lot of people comment on my videos about how much they enjoy they large variety of terrains and amount of trails we have. It's everything from sand to gravel, hard back dirt, loose dirt etc.. I have to say that the trails around here truly are great
You literally took off 10 minutes from my house lol! My driveway is 10 mins from that intersection of 7 and Indian creek! Nothing like twisting grips around these hills, been doing it all my life and it never gets old! Safe travels!
Thanks so much for this. What a fun (and challenging) ride. Crossing the creek and running up that rock garden hill in addition to the technical forest trails...that's some experienced and highly skilled riding. Great to be able to see it. We always look forward to your next upload.
Well at the time, going back want an option. Just to far and all single track. Had I known going forward was an even harder option, well I should have went back.
@localrouteadv would you believe about 3 years ago the water got deep enough to take out that bridge? looks like it's been repaired finally. Me and a friend were the first to come across it about a week after the storm in the middle of a bikepacking trip. Crossing a broken bridge is definitely one of the dumber things I've ever done lol.
Man some of that single track just look super exhausting. The trace is just soooo rough at parts. Even on my mountainbike I end up walking a lot of it. Sure is easier to watch it than to ride it :p
If You mean crf250f, yes, but I think the bike needs to be street legal and tagged. The Kentucky adventure tour group on Facebook would have all the answers.
I'm from Ohio, so not sure of Kentucky laws when it comes to ATVs. Most of this was on the sheltowee Trace trail which is only horse, mountain bike, motorcycle out hiking. There is a Facebook group for the KAT with all that information.
Quietly scratching that off this old man’s things to maybe do list. 😂

Thanks so much. The Kentucky folks have been so engaging and welcoming. Looking forward to going through the rest of the hard sections this summer.
You will get in shape before you know it just keep kicking ass most people can’t do or turn around Not you you did it
Great video Jay, that is one of my all time favorite trails!
Great video. Brings back some good memories on those trails with Jeff Jerm and Kevin.
That crossing at 12:30 was crazy! I don't think I'd be brave enough to try it

Thanks for taking us along. I hope to tackle the KAT this year.
Great video brother and great adventure!
I've been wanting to run the KAT for awhile. The SW portion comes pretty close to the house. But there is no way I'd ride it solo. Respect.
I carry a zoleo satellite beacon, but yeah I still get nervous at times. Trapped under the bike in Utah a couple years ago 110 degrees comes to mind.
Déjà vu? lol. Still a good video. Looks fun.
Yeah. I was clued in about a thing I shouldn't have done. Had to get rid of the evidence. Lol
I moved to breathitt county from Michigan. I need to find people to ride with lol. I just got a klx 300.
@@jgross1991 search the facebook groups for Kentucky dual sport riders and the KAT. JOIN UP.
Looked like a workout. You had a great bike for the job though.
very cool video, damn your on some tough stuff there.....good to see that 450 getting it down, is the 890 and 1250 taking a back seat to that one? LOL
The 450 is definitely the new shiny thing. Hard not to ride it. I promise the 890 and 1250 will make a comeback.

GREAT RIDING !! just bought my first dirt bike CBF250F, would that work on that trail? (68 years old)

Any GPS files ? Looks good. Thanks!
You can get entire file on the Kentucky adventure tour Facebook group.. Also on advrider.
Do you know if street legal utvs are allowed on this route?

A small section of the sheltowee allows utvs, its all near s tree campground.
I enjoy your videos. What tires are you running?
D606
Yes and mt21 up front. Pretty much the gold standard for this bike. I like them, but plan to experiment in the future.
it is CRF 450L?
Yes. 450rl
Re-upload?
Yes, sorry about that. Had to make some modifications to hide incriminating evidence. Lol
