"This may be one of the hardest things I've done on a dirt bike." Bet a paycheck this makes Jeff proud if he reads this!! A+ video brother. We gotta make that trip! Send me the info on that cabin will ya?
I've been all over Kentucky on the 890 and 1250. Been wanting to get on the KAT for some time now. After this trip, it's all I think about. Highly advise checking it out. Ps. Love you videos.
What a fantastic watch this was. I'm local, and having hiked many of these trails and thought about what it'd be like to take my 500lb adv bike through some parts of these, I could probably get started, I'd just never get back out again. Glad you made it!
I've rode from S-Tree to Turkeyfoot many times and my XR and immediately recognized that section when you got there! I hope to get my Africa Twin out on the KAT this year, but it probably won't be on the 'hard' sections, LOL! Thanks for another great video!
being my first time, I'm skeptical of bringing a bigger bike, but maybe there is a dry season to change my mind. That area is top tier riding anywhere in these United States.
Thanks. Had to wash. Riding next day. New bike. I knew chain, bolts and all kinds of stuff would be loose. Not much worse than working on dirty bikes. Lol
damn Jay lol. those were some serious trails! those were all the hard sections? i would definately need more practice for anything like that lol but very cool to watch......how do you like that Zoleo compared to anything Garmin?
That was mostly hard 3 section on the KAT. Some harder than others. My understanding on the Garmin vs zoleo is they are really close to the same, but the zoleo gives you a phone number to direct text. I think the Garmin was and maybe still is email.
@@SethMullins418 suited me well. 2 years in and still like new. I attached the helmet mic to the inside of the mount so everything is attached to the mount and can be transferred easily to other helmets.
Welcome to KY!

Thanks. That's high praise. Info incoming.
Absolutely!
There he is, man, myth, and Legend #77!
Absolute top notch vid 💪
3 hours edited down to 19 minutes. Why do we record so much. Lol thanks for riding along
Gee...talk about the "trail less traveled". A great one. Thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to day 2.
No doubt. After the rock bridge, I was literally the only person out there. Maybe for a long while.
Going up the hills around here are the best part!
That looks like a blast, awesome video
Awesome vid. Gave ya a Sub. I can't wait to do some riding out that way. Getting kinda tired of the yearly 16-hour drive to Colorado.
😊Brother day 1 was super cool
So cool, and only a couple hours away from home. Need to get back down there.
Great video. Very cool. I guess i need to go Kentucky

A killer 450 main AND another killer video from LRA! Too much goodness for one evening.
Thanks Marty. Hope to see you out there soon.
15:46. Let’s call a spade a spade. It takes balls lol not guts. What an awesome video. Good work sir!
Haha. Thanks. I wish the camera would show the actual severity of things.

haha. so glad you liked the video. I am working on part 2 as I type this.
you just convinced me to buy this exact bike off marketplace!
@@Appalachian-Exploration2 oh that is way too much pressure on me. Lol. I do love this bike very much. I hope you do too.

Heck yeah! Glad to see you in my neck of the woods! Love the McKee area, you were close to the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway too
It's on my list. I hit parts of the DBBB last couple years. Now that I have the dual sport, I plan to run the whole loop.
I am definitely going to put this on my must ride trips. Thanks for sharing.
It's a drop on the bucket of what they have in Kentucky. Can't wait to explore again.
Great video Jay. We are heading to the KAT in early June and this comes in handy!!
Thanks. Hoping to make another trip soon and check off a couple more hard sections. Such great riding down there.
Great ride, thanks!
Gotta stand up when you're offroad. The only time you sit is when you need more traction to the back tire.
Another good one Jay. We'll be home the 25th.
March or April 25th?

We jump off of those two rock ledges. LOL
I need video proof lol

What gps are you using? I'm currently using the Gaia GPS, and I'm just wondering if there are better options.
Same. I've got so much time invested in Gaia, I don't want to have to learn something else.
There are almost no sections of the trace that allow ATVs.
I wouldn’t call it a little bike, just because it’s not a pig. Lol...
I guess that is true.. I've been spending most of my time on an 890 or 1250.
Good video?
Only one way to find out
@@localrouteadv good video! Sorry about the question mark
@@nicksapp6543 gotcha! lol? jk
You put camera on yourself too much,
Tell me about it. That mug is terrifying.
