@@WillTheNetherKingFarmer This is a villain trope I wish was more common: a villain with high empathy, who uses their victims' own personalities (the good _and_ bad parts) against them. The only ones I know of are Michael and Shawn, and they successfully turned that show into _two_ shows, entirely different on subsequent viewings. I get why it isn't done more: they're not redeemable _or_ relatable, and writing a smart character is hard; in fact, they might not even be viable "driving forces", as there's no realistic way to defeat them. That's according to traditional story dynamics though; the aforementioned show was in some ways an entirely new kind of story, and I'd love to see the possibilities explored more.

Very entertaining but i have one complaint the usage of double dip and double dip p cause you can't get them at this point unless you are crazy enough to do the pit of 100 trails
Getting irrationally mad that the dead X-Naut count didn't go up by one when you beat Lord Crump lol
Same
i mean, you do have one last battle with him on the moon colony, so he technically cant be considered dead until at least post moon fight?
@@nobodyfornowEven then ypu see him in the credits.
Lord Crump doesn’t die tho. You see him in the credits.
HR at the moon base has a lotta paperwork to do.

This is just too good. Underrated comment.

I like to think that Grodus doesn't even care about the X-nauts dying, he just wants to punish Crump lol

I'm surprised 500 x-nauts doesn't crash Paper Mario.
Well, it's a GameCube game, so Nintendo really wanted to show off how many things they could have on screen at once
the final solution, TXD (Total X-naut Death)
MA(X)D - Mutually Assured (X-Naut) Destruction
I always knew Mario was the real villain.

Why did my sister think each of those X-Nauts are Santa Clauses!?
"Personally, I'd rather egg" is amazing out of context.
"Hey, you want to come out as trans?"
"but would you lose?"
"nah, i'd egg"
I love these kinda puzzle challenges but how do you know there is 500 in the big group he summons lol
It's in the game's code. There's actually 500
@@Koopatrol Surpised it specified because isn't it done with some gamecube trick to make a large group as 1 entity?
@@JosephShemelewski The game needs to know how many duplicate textures get loaded onto that single entity.

I guessed 2006, thinking that I was being a bit optimistic, but holy crap
This solution, the "true" solution, is just too elegant. I liked this puzzle a lot.
2056, the final solution to the X-nauts.
2056 is an arc number in _Portal Stories: Mel..._

interesting run & analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
It would've been more fitting to use Bobbery here.
You should do some of these for Bug Fables
I wonder why they changed the cutscene to have Cortez ram the ship from the right side and not the left in the remake
Would it count if you hit X-Nauts in the crowd?
Those guys aren’t dying though - they get to run away!
How many X-Nauts can be killed without limiting to 5 turns? As in, how many can be taken out before Mario runs out of HP
If you can reuse the same attacks, literally infinity because you can keep Mario alive with Sweet Treat (or just Superguard)

Shouldn’t the title have been “X-ecution?”
Oh man
the x-nihilation link isn't working anymore, was it removed?
O.O

We lost a lot of good men that day. Still haven't fully recovered.
