10:26 God, seeing everything come together so perfectly in a strategy like this is so fucking cool. This is one of my favorite strategies I've seen in quite a while
Interesting. I tried the old bomb squad strat in my own playthrough and was confused why it didn't work. Thanks for clearing that up, thought it was on me somehow... Also cool fight!😊
Was just stuck on this fight for hours and had everything equipped! I used Flurrie mainly to Lip Lock and used her as a tank to get through it and Rally Wink from Goombella. Awesome to see you destroy her at pretty much base level lol.
I could easily imagine Peppino just eating the Crystal Stars or something and then repeatedly punching the Shadow Queen's face, before piledriving her into the ground. Then running out of the collapsing Palace of Shadow with the three Shadows, Bowser, Kammy, and Peach all following him the whole way out.
He wouldn't do something as (seemingly) stupid as eating the crystal stars just for a slight chance something would happen. Noise would though! Although, he would definitely kill everyone he encounters along the way out.
Kind of off topic, but does anyone here wonder or even know what that circle in the center of the new warp room is? You can’t seem to interact with it in any way so far as I know.
It's definitely not anything, but it is a weird design choice because of that. The middle of the warp room in Origami King had a warp pipe to Origami Castle... but there's already a pipe that leads from the start to end of the Palace of Shadow. It appears after you beat the game. My best guess is that if there was supposed to be a pipe there, it would probably have lead to the courtyard (basically the middle point of the Palace.) I guess they eventually decided it wasn't necessary cuz of the green pipe already there.
@@ninjastronautguymagenta There’s also a video where someone found the hole where Bowser fell on Grodus. It’s the little room after Gloomtail’s arena. They must’ve used a cheat, because the hallway that leads there turns into stairs after you solve all the puzzles in the Riddle Tower, taking away your access to that room.
Correct! The battle ends with the token 1 Star Point in the GCN version of the game, but not in the remake. Interestingly, Bonetail still gives 1 Star Point in the remake, meaning it was a conscious decision to not give that Star Point in the remake . If I had to guess, I would say that they didn't want a level up to defuse the tense situation?
@@EyeBallin42They did make a compensation for Bonetail though, and I don't believe it was in the original. Here's some space for spoilers if anyone cares. She now gives 999 coins along with the 1 star point. A welcome feature when considering another new part of the remake involving the Pit (space for spoilers again...) You can pay 300 coins to go straight to floor 50 after beating the Pit once! If you know beyond that, you know.
That's what I'm wondering, I was gonna do "no level" challenge by just not using more than 3 BP since I figured I'd gain too many levels for low level to be interesting
He is level 25, but invested only in BP and is just using as many badges as level 3 Mario could. (Excluding Peekaboo which is for viewers' convenience).
Koop isn't actually level 3, as you can see by the Badges screen at 0:24 - they've just left most of their BP unused to simulate being level 3 (Using 9 BP, as that's how much you'd have at level 3 with both level-ups going into BP). You can also see that the stage is a higher rank in the fights than what you would have at level 3.
There's an npc you can go to that can rearrange your HP FP and BP for a price one level at a time. However I wouldn't be surprised if Koop is good enough to get this far with only level 3 stats lol
That's why I'd recommend not using it on bosses, especially since the remake buffed Sleep. Immobilizing statuses are just very cheesy in general. That's just the nature of them.
Hold on, were you only able to win because of getting 3 shines in the slot machine right at the end of the battle? It's still cool, but still hard to pull off.
Mario's base stats are shown in the thumbnail. 10 HP, 5 FP, 9 BP, with 3 of the BP towards HP Plus. The game would show it as 15 HP, 5 FP, 9 BP in the menu, but that would make the base stats look like Level 4 when it's really Level 3.
I'm pretty sure that's only to make the video more interesting, not because he can't superguard. I've followed this guy for years and he's insanely skilled at this game.
Did you see how little of the BP he was using though? This is a pretty common thing for TTYD challenges, investing fully in BP and then only using a set amount of it to simulate being at a lower level. In this case, he was only using 9 BP (excluding peekaboo), thus simulating level 3, which is definitely underleveled for the final boss.
Instructions Unclear: Used 20 Zess Dynamites
The sleeping audience in the finale is just the cherry on top
You know it’s going to be a next level battle when an action command is missed on purpose for an extremely specific reason. Fantastic battle!!!

10:41 nice sync to the music
Stampede would be a lot cooler if all the yoshis had randomized colors
I had no idea the bingo was guaranteed. That's a really neat detail.
"peekaboo for convenience" that's why you're the goat
Nah... careful, there can only be one Paper Mario goat and I don't know if he'd take too kindly if anyone else but him is called that.....
@@Koopatrol Who would that be?

Excellent strategy! Really neat to see how you worked around the Shine Bingo.
bro you're too smart for the world
glad to see this stuff on the remastered version
Can’t even tell you how crazy impressed I am that you survived and won 👏👏👏👏👏
I was trying until the end to figure out why you needed to fail the Spring Jump lmao
I think it was to control the guaranteed bingo
same, its genuinely surprising to me how the bingo of all things gets incorporated in a strategy
@@bekfstman9841 Considering we're talking about peril strats? Was a pretty swift conclusion.
That Amazy Dayzee really made everyone asleep during the climax. Thats worst than a spoiler
Nice battle. I can't say I thought I'd see you using Sweet Feast of all moves for this fight, so that was interesting.
He even used it twice

I know its a nitpick but the thumbnail is a bit misleading. You have 15 HP not 10. Still really cool strats though.

The point is that he's playing as if he only had level 3 stats (10 HP, 5 FP, 9 BP). It's a hypothetical low-level/challenge strategy.
I wouldn’t consider that low, but I believe the point is that he has level 3 stats, having 15 HP and 5 FP.
